As Azar was lying on the street on a forbidden section of the city, seeing his enemy going back to the shadows, as he was losing consciousness, he knew, that this fight was won. The enemy underestimate him, if Azar was a normal person of that world, the fight was lost before it could even begin.
As we know , Azar while he was trying to learn mana control, we learnt that the people of that world has a different system next to the heart that pumps mana to the mana system, biologically speaking, any other person of that world who controlled mana, would has lost that ability. But Azar doesn't have the mana system. Mana and blood shares the same system, so his enemy's stab did nothing but a deep wound.
Azar, fainted with a smile on his face, he could now have the upper hand if he fought with that organization again.
At last when he lost his consciousness, he woke up, in a dark and empty place. He tried to see, but in vain. The only thing that he could watch was a really dark moon at the sky...
*Where... Where am I?*
This thought he made echoed all around the place. Confused, Azar tried to stand... but he felt like he was entangled.
*I can't see and I can't move. I am stuck here, to this empty, dark place.*
Once again, the thought he made, echoed all around the darkness. Suddenly, he heard some steps... steps made from someone that walks upon water, but the ground wasn't wet. The steps also just echoed around the darkness. Azar couldn't understand if the steps were coming closer or not.
"W-Who's there?"
His wards felt empty, and they never traveled within the air. He spoke but the wards never came out, his thoughts are echoing around.
*Is this reversed? Do I have to stand down so I can walk?*
The thought once again traveled all around the shadows.
*This must be it, there is no common logic to this world.*
He tried to do as he said, but this didn't work either, the walking sound stopped.
*Is anyone there?*
Once again his thought traveled through the air, then, he felt something heavy at his chest and the entanglement got higher up his neck. He also felt something wet going down from his neck to his chest and the falling down. The fall sounded like a droplet falling into a glass of water.
The entangles were getting tighter and more wet droplets came down his chest. Azar got scared and when he looked up, the moon that wasn't illuminating the place at all and just stood there at a total emptiness. The moon cracked.
Azar tried to think but his thoughts stopped echoing around his words didn't came out his mouth. His entangles were getting tighter and tighter and the break of the silence were the droplets falling down, getting more and more.
The moon were cracking more and more and Azar were getting more panicked every second. He desperately tried pushing the entangles away but the more he resisted the tighter the entangles were getting and the droplets started falling down his chest like rain.
He suddenly stopped trying, he stopped thinking, stopped breathing and the moon's cracks stopped. The entangles got lighter and the heavy feeling down his chest got also lighter. He now tried to think logically. Something felt familiar but strange. He felt warm and the droplets at his chest went back at being a few cold droplets. As his brain were now calm the moon started healing it's cracks. As he started breathing again everything looked calm.
He tried to think but as soon as he tried all the screaming and the panicked thoughts he did earlier echoed around and a sudden impact at his chest threw him to his knees and the entangles were getting tighter again.
He stayed calm. He kept saying that to himself.
"I am calm, I must never lose my composure again."
He kept looking at the moon. The moon once again stood there. Doing nothing. It didn't move so it could set. There were no stars around so that couldn't be the night sky.
The droplets stopped and the entangles around his neck retreated, falling to the sides touching his arms and going around his chest. A sudden thought.
*My wound next to my heart. I can't feel it. There is no pain.*
As he said the entangles moved and went across his chest, there were nothing there, he didn't felt any friction around the wound area that could index a wound.
*No one healed me. That's for sure. I was at the restricted section. No one would go there. So the only one who got me from there was the only one who knew I was there... But this place, it isn't a room, it isn't outside... This moon acts weird, it doesn't move, yet it cracked and healed it self. The darkness around me , makes it impossible to even see my nose. The entanglement's make my feet and hands... Wait I can move my hands... Ok, that's something I can begin with.*
Azar got up, the entangles around his chest went up his neck and added weight to his shoulders.
*I can get up, but something here, surely doesn't want me to.*
So he stood on his knees. He touched the ground. It wasn't wet, but the feeling of water covering his hands existed.
*So, water exist, it's just that I can't feel it.*
His hands were dry, he tried touching his face.
*I can't feel anything anything, my skin feels like a rock, but that's not the case, I can still feel the warmth and the droplets to my chest. My chest feels heavy, my shoulders feel heavy... I can't go anywhere like this... I can't really understand the situation.*
As he said and the words came back.
*But I can't give up. I-I have someone who's waiting for me. KENI!*
He tried reaching out his blade but, it wasn't there. His clothes wasn't there.
*Am I... naked? Doesn't matter.*
He stood there on his knees, he tried clearing his head, he put his hands on his knees. He tried to forget everything. As he did, he brought back a memory... The argument with Keni. The wards weak, echoed around the place.
*Yes... I am weak. But I can grow stronger, I just have to sit down and think... And this is my opportunity.*
So he did. He closed his eyes that never get used to the darkness around him. Breathed in and out, with a steady rhythm.
*Let's begin from the start... How did all this end up here. A huge comet passed around earth and the next thing I know, I woke up in this world. This world, also has water and earth, and the right amount of oxygen. The terrain on the maps seems the same with the earth but it has some slight differences. Magic and mana exist in this world. So if I wanted to survive I had to know how to use it... I forgot that this is a lie. I survived not because of magic. Magic just helped me. My brain is my power. I haven't used it for a while now.*
*That's how I ended here... I found my friends and that reminded me, earth and how I lived there, in peace. I lived in an illusion for so many days. I have to wake up. I have to grow stronger using my brain. I am an engineer, and as an engineer, I face up problems and use every means possible to either solve it or use it on my favor.*
As he felt a lot calmer and found a purpose again he opened his eyes.
