Separation

A woman with a slim body but is very pleasing to look at, was walking on a dim lighted hall leading to a metal door in the middle.

Clack!

As the door opened, there she saw a man standing still and on his face was full of drawings.

Infront of the man was a table and a chair, on the other side of the table, there seated a boy with a long and disheveled hair that covered most of his eyes, playing on a pen.

The boy noticed the door opening and looked at the new comer with shining eyes.

"Ohhh Valerie! Ehem! Miss, Valerie!" Ares spoke.

"Have you gone crazy?" She questioned as she took a sit on the chair Infront of him.

"Yes, crazy for you." He answered with a slight smile.

"I can't believe you've done so much trouble in just one day." She sighed

"I know right, HAHAHAH!" Ares laughed madly.

"So, why did you kill them?" She asked in a cold tone.

At his point Ares's smile faded and now looked very serious.

"I don't know also, i just had the urge to kill them." He said as he looked at his hand, which is still in shackles.

"Then do you have an urge to kill me?" She questioned as she looked into his faint red eyes.

Ares looked back and thought, 'God damn she's actually gorgeous upon closer look'

"No, but i do have an urge to kiss that cherry lips of yours." He said with a slight smile as he looked into her sky blue eyes.

"..." Valerie's eyes widened and was stunned by his words.

"What... The fuck?" She said with a slight pause as if she just heard the worst joke ever.

"HAHAHA, Im not gonna lie your very attractive, does no one ever tell you that?" He said as he leaned forward with a smirk on his face.

"Quit it 'Demon' i will lead you to the Major General's office, and if you do something crappy I'll kill you on the spot!" She said coldly.

"Oh no, so scary! Look I'm shaking from fear! HAHAHA!!" He joked before standing up while still laughing.

Valerie was speechless, can't he feel fear anymore? Is he broken beyond repair? This guy is totally fucked up in the head!

Valerie opened the door and leaded Ares to the Major General's office. While walking outside many looked at him with fear, disgust, and disdain.

'i guess I'm a criminal in their eyes now. Meh none of it fucking matters anyway, I'll just fucking kill them if they mess with me.' he thought as a smile creep on his face.

Minutes later they arrived at the office.

Knock! Knock!

Clack!

As the door opened Vincent greeted him with a pressure stronger than the man before.

"Don't you ever get tired of this? Do you just suppress anyone who comes in to your office?" He said annoyingly.

He then looked at the man in the eyes and realeased his own aura.

Scarlet hue camed out of Ares's body and fought back over the aura trying to crush him.

"I said don't do anything crappy!" Valerie said as she pulled out her sword from its scabbard and slashed it at Ares.

Swoosh!

To her disbelieving wide eyes Ares caught the blade of the sword with only his thumb and index finger.

"Don't interfere, little girl." Ares said in a commanding tone before breaking her sword with only his bare thumb and index finger.

Ting! ting! ting!

The shards of the now broken sword fall onto the red carpeted wooden floor.

Vincent who was shocked infront, stood up and attacked Ares with speed faster than an eye could follow.

Ares clenched his right fist tightly and punched the upcoming enemy Infront of him.

Bang!

Vincent's and Ares's fist collided and a sound similar to an explosion resounded throughout the whole room.

The windows shattered, and all the books in the room was thrown out of the shelves. As if a storm passed by, the whole room turn into a mess in just a matter of seconds.

Valerie was pushed back by a few steps before stabilizing herself.

"Right now you are a criminal in the eyes of many." Still enshrouded in a thick smoke from the collision, Vincent spoke.

"Would you like to clean your name?" He continued.

"What do you want?" Ares asked.

"I will drop you in the front lines, where many soldiers fights and dies over billions of Demons and other unknown creatures, if you succeeded on closing the passage that the demons comes out of. You'll be praised and will be deemed as a hero. But if you decline you will be executed." Vincent offered.

"HAHAHAHA! What's the point of it all if im just going to die in the end?!" He said in a mocking tone.

Vincent was silent waiting for a proper answer from Ares.

"Fine, I'll do it." He said with a smile on his lips.

"But, you have to treat Jin very well and don't tell him that i will fight in the front lines." He said in a serious voice. Vincent just nodded at him.

Valerie now walked towards the two and saw that his shackle on the right hand was nowhere to be seen, there was blood oozing out from Ares's right knuckles and that you could now see his bone is about to shatter.

"You may leave now, tomorrow you will be fetched by my assistant, she will being you your uniform and everything you need." Vincent stated.

Ares just nodded and when he was about to leave the room he face the two and showed them his right knuckles, to their surprise the wound was regenerating the lost tissue and skin, closing the wound. And laugh as he exit the room.

'what a terrifying fellow!' the two was surprised by this ability of Ares, doesn't this mean that if he want to, he can dominate the Major General?

Once Ares was gone, Valerie asked worriedly, "Do you think it's okay to send him there?"

"It's alright i don't sense any demonic aura coming out of him, its just pure bloodlust, but his in his right mind." He said with a frown.

"He feels different from when i first saw him, even the way he speaks and move." He continued as he took a look at his left hand, blood was trickling down from his knuckles.

This surprised Valerie even more, a boy he brought from earth that after a day, can now almost evenly match a Major General in terms of strength.

"It seems that he could be a reincarnation of a god, a powerful one at that. But we have no proof because i don't sense any aether in his body. What a strange little fellow indeed." Vincent said a slight smile could be seen on his lips while biting his lower lip.

"I'll be taking my leave now." Valerie said before walking out of the room, she couldn't stand it when his doing that thing.

"Irene, tell the staff to clean my office, and i want you to look after someone for me." Vincent said while holding a circular device near his mouth.

Night time, an hour after he left the office.

Ares was in a cell, he was lying on a bed facing the stone cold ceiling.

"Fuck, what's with this change in me?" He said lowly, a slight frown could be seen on his face.

He also didn't know why he acted that way and killed two person, as if his whole body was controlled but he is conscious.

He then recall the day he first met Vincent the aura he felt was very pressuring at first, but as time goes by he felt a surge of energy each passing minutes he was exposed to a pressuring energy coming from his enemies.

"Ah fuck it!" He said before covering his face with a pillow and later on fell asleep.

The sun raised and illuminated the earlier dark land of the kingdom, birds began tweeting and flying around the sky.

Jin woke up and opened the closed curtain and was greeted by a light from the sun. With all this beautiful scenery he felt something lacking, Ares his best bud through out his childhood, was now detained in a prison.

Valerie visited her last night and talked about Ares's situation, she said to him that his sin is very heavy and will be in prison for over ten or so years.

Jin was shocked by this news, he wanted to break Ares out of prison but he couldn't, he doesn't have the power to do so, he felt weak and useless.

Ares was the one who always encourage him and help him with his problems, but right now he couldn't do a single thing to help him.

"I'll grow strong and raise through the ranks!" He whispered as his eyes shoned brightly, a tinge of golden glow could be seen in his irises.

"Just wait for me Ares I'll let you out of that prison." He said before turning around and preparing for the day.

Tong! Tong! Tong!

Ares opened his eyes as he was woken up by the loud clanging on the bars of his cell.

He stood up and looked at the person behind the iron bars.

It was a girl wearing a black armor she was holding the uniform and the armor given by Vincent.

"Are you the assistant Vincent was talking about?" He said while stretching his whole body.

"..." The girl didn't reply and simply observed Ares.

Ares took out the clothes and amor.

"The armor seemed too rocky and hard to move in." He said.

He then wear the white long sleeved polo and the black trousers along with his black boots, changing infront of the girl.

"The Major said to wear all of it." The girl said unemotionally, unperturbed by his actions.

Ares looked at the girl and shook his head.

The girl then opened the door, and after that ares walked out of the cell.

"Hey can i have a weapon at least? Like two short swords?" He said.

The girl just nodded and reported it to a circular device.

Ares was leaded outside of the highwalls of the kingdom by the girl.

"Hey what's your name?" He asked the girl.

The girl looked at him before saying, "Irene."

Irene has a short black hair just that falls just beside her neck, with a very delicate physique she seemed cute partnered with her height that stood five foot three.

They were then greeted by a caravan and later on went inside it. Inside were four other people, two men and two women, all of them were clad in a black armor similar to what Vincent gave to him, each of them wields a weapon of their choice.

They looked at the new arrived figures, especially Ares who wasn't wearing any armor just a long sleeved polo and a black trousers with his boots on. They felt an ominous aura coming out of him they immediately distanced themselves from him.

Ares just chuckled and was called out by irene.

"Here are your requested two short swords." Irene said before handing two short swords in a scabbard to Ares.

Ares took the sword out of its scabbard and a black colored blade greeted him. The sword was half a meter long with a black leather handle and a black colored blade.

"Nice." He commented, before sheathing the sword back in its scabbard.

Hiyahh!

The horseman shouted as the caravan started moving towards north.

Ares looked at the highwalls of the kingdom that was slowly getting small as they get further and further.

'Wait for me my friend, we'll meet again soon.' he thought as he then closed the curtain and leaned backward, closing his eyes he recalled the memories he had with Jin and the other kids in the church.
