Chapter 27

Old man Eliot was so angry he had to loosen his necktie. Looking at all of them who had regained a little sense, he couldn't help but wonder how much stupidity resided within anyone who was part of such a prestigious company.

Arnold, who had been angry before, was so thrilled that he almost clapped his hands to thank old man Eliot for his bravery. In his mind, he thought, 'Serves all of you, right. To think that they were running their mouth recklessly about the Alpha. Indeed ignorance is bliss but very dangerous at the same time. With all the things going on, Arnold couldn't wait for the Alpha to make his arrival.

Unknown to everyone inside the boardroom, Mr. Ford had listened to each and everything that was said. He was glad to have arrived just in time to hear so that he could tell the foes hanging around to suck him dry. Alex strode in majestically with such an aura of coldness. He already knew about the board members and how they each greedily eyed his position.

As he made his way in, fear could be spotted on the faces of the cowards that were all brave a few minutes back. They all stood up, some genuinely happy to see him and others guilty.

Alex was already mad about his mate doing odd chores at work, and these old gizzards were speaking trash. "Why are you standing up for this incompetent man?" Sarcasm was so ripe in the statement; all those that had carelessly spoken earlier were turning red in embarrassment. They could tell that he had heard whatever was discussed earlier.

Looking at how they were trembling in fear, he could rightly say that most of them were just put to the test by someone. Alex knew well enough that none of the men in the board room had the guts to stand up to him. It was amusing to see how they boldly ranted earlier, and now all their tails are hidden between their legs.

Whoever thought Mr. Ford was a cheap enemy to have, then all got it coming. He sat in his seat like a king, looking at his subjects. For a man who owned so much power, not because he was a wolf, but because he ran the most powerful Empire in terms of business. He is a billionaire with whooping billions of dollars under his name. His influence stretched from his home country to the world's far ends. No one hasn't heard of Alexander Basil Ford.

That name alone carried so much weight; it was a ticket to luxury to those that called him family and a ticket to pain to his enemies.

Adding him being a wolf to the list, Mr. Alexander Basil Ford, or better yet, the last standing Alpha was untouchable. He was so strong that even the underworld knew not to mess with him. If beauty was a reward given, he was a ten on ten. The man was so gorgeous in his manliness that others were envious. To top it all, he knew about everything he possessed, right from power, strength, and physical attributes.

"Let's start" The order came out calmly, but it made some people sweat. They were looking at him as if expecting someone. "I was told that you organized a meeting and need to discuss some matters with me. Here I am. Can we start?"

"Ahem... Ah, it's about the issue of Lawyer Lawson. How is the company going to handle it?" Asked the old man with specs.

"Yes, please give us a conclusive reply so that this matter can ease the situation," Came another suggestion with some chorus grumbles from the crowd.

Alex was not in any kind of hurry to give them a reply, so he looked at them as if analyzing something and later on placed his elbows on the table. "For people who have been with this company the longest, you sure are ignorant of how I do things. I, Alexander Basil Ford, don't tolerate any form of hypocrisy, especially one coming from the people who claim to be on my side."

Alex rarely spoke at length, but today, he had to let the old men know that they were receiving their last supper, and he was serving it while it was hot. "Lawyer Lawson deserved whatever was served. He played hide and seek with me by trying to harm the company I built with so much sweat."

Signaling Arnold with his right hand, Alex smirked. He surely knew how to ride to keep a show interesting. He knew how the game was played, and all these men, despite their age, were babies in whatever they had started.

Arnold started placing some documents before each and everyone seated in the room. The board of directors was confused; they were the ones who had called for the meeting; how come they didn't know of any documents.

"Since each of you called this meeting without any serious plan, I, on the other hand, have one. So please look at the documents before you so we can start this meeting."

Flipping through the documents, old man Eliot couldn't help but smile. His Alpha was indeed the most intelligent man alive; just like his grandfather, he knew how to handle situations.

"What is the meaning of this, Mr. Ford?" Came an angry question from one of the directors. The same fear and confusion could be seen on the face of most of them.

"What do you mean, Mr. Williams?" Feigning ignorance would have been easy for Alex if it weren't for the killing intent in his eyes. "That is your last supper." The razors shooting from his eyes were so sharp that he was just holding himself back.

"Just as a little piece of advice, when you go out, be mindful of playing two teams simultaneously."

Hello, I retook time, sorry. I was caught up, but as compensation, I brought four chapters.
