When the woman saw Farley, she put on a charming smile.
Hester glanced at Farley. Farley was still expressionless, but his eyes were not as calm as before. His eyes were filled with mixed feelings, like purple vortexes.
Hester's heart suddenly skipped a beat. She had never been nervous, disappointed, and even desperate like this.
The woman walked over with a smile. She was carrying a big backpack in a white shirt, and a pair of blue jeans. Her dark hair was casually tied up by a handkerchief, hanging from her neck. She was extremely elegant and beautiful.
Hester could clearly feel that Farley stiffened. She did not say anything and just watched the woman walk over.
"Farley," the woman said, her voice pleasant, "I'm back."
Hester silently looked at the woman and Farley but it was as if Hester's heart was clenched by a hand.
