"So, you cooked yourself?" Hester looked at Dave suspiciously.
"Yes, it doesn't taste good. I threw it away." Dave said unapologetically.
"Then what have you been eating for the past three days?" Hester was shocked.
"Bread." Dave lowered his head and spoke.
The bread did not need to be heated. He could eat it directly. He had been eating bread for three days.
Hester took a deep breath. She was on the verge of flaring up, "You don't have money? Don't you know how to go out and buy food?"
"The food outside is not delicious!" Dave retorted. He only ate what his daddy made.
Hester took out two plates from the refrigerator and snorted, "I used to bring you lunch from outside. Didn't you eat them all?"
Pretentious!
"It is you who brought the food and threatened me. Or else, I wouldn't eat it!" Dave wondered.
Dave didn't say it. Hester would say he was pretentious again.
