CHAPTER 42

Dae Hyun gave Min Hye light feathery kisses on her neck and she shuddered as she felt his hot lips on her neck. She felt his hand travel down to her thighs and his fingers trying to slip under her dress but she stopped his movement abruptly which left him surprised.

"I'm sorry but I'm on my period." She explained as she craned her neck to look at his face.

"That's okay. Are you in pain?" He asked with a worried look on his face, the desire in his eyes immediately disappeared and she smiled at his caring nature towards her.

"It hurts a lot because I have dysmenorrhea." She said but there was not a hint of pain on her face but he wasn't expecting any, knowing she had Asperger's syndrome and he was the only one that affected her physically and emotionally.

"Have you taken any meds?" He asked with genuine concern and she shook her head negatively. "I'll stop by the grocery store for a few minutes, I'll get some painkillers." He said as he got off the bed, taking his glasses from the bedside table and putting it on as he set out to leave.

Min Hye smiled as she watched him leave to get her meds, truly concerned for her wellbeing which made her feel like the luckiest girl on earth but was she really?

...

It was a week to the opening event for Apex company's second branch and Yoo Na didn't hear the last of it as the students chattered happily about it, eager to attend but only the ones with aristocrats as parents were given invitations while the kids whose parents were in the grade of millionaires sulked as their parents weren't invited.

The party was a big deal to the upper class society as it was a once in a lifetime event where foreign aristocrats would attend also from different parts of the world, giving opportunities to exchange handsome deals between the foreigners and the South Korean business world. Not only would they be business alliances, they would also be marriage alliances as the aristocratic mothers would be able to match their children with the children of other foreign aristocrats, strengthening their family's wealth even more. They would also hold an auction of the finest antiques in Asia which would result to a lot of profit from the opening event and more details of which the students with invitations discussed amongst themselves in excited tones, making the uninvited ones filled with envy.

A small group of students walked into the class with sullen expression on their faces.

"I can't believe my Dad wasn't given an invitation, he has millions of dollars, they're so unbelievable!" A girl in the group hissed angrily as she sat down harshly on the chair.

"You're talking about millions when they all have billions of dollars. To them we're just like the average class." Another boy chipped in, as he let out a sarcastic laugh obviously envious of the invited ones.

"That's not fair! We deserve to attend the event too." Another small girl added in and Yoo Na just couldn't figure out what all the fuss about the event was when she wasn't even in the least excited to go even after acquiring an invitation. She felt it was a waste of time to care about frivolous things like parties instead of focusing on the important things in life.

"Look at this little wench!" Da Yeon hissed as she stepped into the class with Nam Joo overhearing the small group complain. She walked up to the girl as she eyed her fiercely and they all immediately kept shut, as they were obviously scared of her because of her powerful background status. "What were you complaining about, huh?" Da Yeon continued speaking as she poked the girl's head with her finger as hard as she could but the girl didn't fight back as she stood there with lowered head in fear.

"I'm sorry Da Yeon, I was just sad that I couldn't attend the event that's all..." The girl said with a low voice and Da Yeon laughed hysterically as she clapped her palms loudly making the girl jolt in fear.

"Only important people like us gets invited to important events, so why would you be sad when an unimportant family like yours didn't get an invite, huh? Stop thinking too highly of yourselves because your family has little money, there's only a small difference between you guys and trash like her." Da Yeon said with a disgusted face as she pointed her finger to Yoo Na, as she degraded them trying to make them feel as inferior as possible and it certainly worked as embarrassment was etched all over their faces with lowered heads in shame.

Da Yeon gave Yoo Na a long hard stare as she watched the ongoing drama before walking out of the class with a sardonic smirk on her face.

The students trooped into the classroom one by one, Jisoo walked in and gave Yoo Na a smile but she didn't return it. Cha Eun suddenly walked in with his blank expression on his face but as soon as his eyes met Yoo Na's, a smile sneaked into his lips and she gave him a small one back, hoping Da Yeon noticed and she definitely did as her brows creased with anger.

It was lunchtime and the trio were seen eating their food which wasn't a shocking scene anymore as they had been eating together for weeks now with every student's eyes peering through them in disbelief and wonder causing different rumors to circulate through out the school.

Jisoo, Yoo Na and Cha Eun ate their lunch in silence until he decided to break it.

"I have what you need." He said as he referred to Yoo Na and she immediately understood what he meant but Jisoo just stared at them in obliviousness.

"Where is it?" She asked with eager eyes.

"We'll go through it together." He said firmly but she argued against his decision.

"No, it's my business." She stated with a hard expression while Jisoo kept exchanging glances between them as they spoke ignoring her which left her in confusion.

"We're looking for the same person, so we'll go through it together." He made his decision clear and she sighed heavily, knowing he was as stubborn as she was and he wouldn't give her the footages if she declined his request.

"Okay, when are we going through it?" She asked with an uninterested tone.

"Anytime you're free." He said and she nodded.

"Saturday then." She said since she only worked night shifts in her part-time job and she'd be free at day since it wasn't a school day. Cha Eun agreed to it and Jisoo was already dying in curiosity to know more about their discussion.

"Where should we meet?" He asked.

"A cafe." She replied and he nodded.

"What are you guys talking about?" Jisoo asked in curiosity and they both exchanged glances at each other.

"We can tell her, she owes me." Yoo Na said and Cha Eun nodded, trusting her decision.

"Spill it out already!" Jisoo said impatiently as she was eager to be in the know.

"You remember I told you I wanted to kill someone." Yoo Na said with a serious expression and Jisoo nodded gesturing for her to continue. "It's because the person killed my best friend." She explained and the girl's eyes widened in shock as she closed her mouth with her palms.

Yoo Na thought the girl's expressions were a bit exaggerated but she knew it was because she was soft hearted and fragile.

"Don't tell me you're sorry or whatever, I don't need your pity, just your help." Yoo Na interfered quickly as she saw the girl's mouth open to speak because she knew what would come out next. She would have cried talking about Bae Ra but her revenge had overshadowed everything else including her emotions which left her numb.

"So..What about Cha Eun? Why is he helping you?" She asked curiously as she realized what their discussion was about.

"His mother was a victim of the killer too." She replied and the girl's eyes widened even more but she didn't say empathetic words as Yoo Na had warned her not to. Cha Eun's face twisted in pain as she talked about his mother.

"Do you know who the killer is?" Jisoo asked in hushed tone away from the ears of the gossip hungry students.

"Yes." Yoo Na replied shortly.

"Who?" Jisoo asked eagerly.

"The anonymous gift killer." She replied and Jisoo's lower mouth fell open in horror.
