CHAPTER 13

Dae Hyun smiled as he looked at the small black boxes, the white room that was neat to the brim was a bloody mess from the butchered up girls, lying in a pool of blood on the stretcher with dismembered limbs here and there. He had a lot to clean up and he didn't waste time as he took the girls and put them in a body bag, he would have disposed them in the large drum filled with acid but he liked to see the fear on people's face as they find the bodies in a horrible state. The feeling of people's fear towards him made him feel like a god, he had the power to take lives in his hands and it made him feel superior.

The workers gathered as they watched the news on the flat screen that morning, the girls parents were on the news as they were being interviewed on what happened the day they received the black box from the anonymous gift killer, Dae Hyun watched intently with a curious filled face as he adjusted his glasses with a serious expression, anyone who saw him at that moment would think he was a civilized citizen who saw those murderous criminals as monsters, they would have never guessed that he was capable of hurting a fly or even close to anything near a psychopath .

"I..I got the black box that day a..and when I opened it, m..my Na Hye's ears with her earrings were inside, I recognized her ears because I bought those earrings for her on her eleventh birthday..." The woman's voice on the TV croaked as she sobbed heavily, the workers gasped in shock at her words.

"He's pure evil." "They were high school kids." "How sad!" "What a crazy psycho." "This is so scary." The workers murmured among themselves with face filled with fear. It was the other girl's parents turn to speak and the workers stopped talking to listen to her.

"M..my Bo Ra's h..heart w..was in t..the box, why?!! She didn't deserve it.!" Her parents wailed on the TV and the workers expressions became even more grim. They flew their hands to their mouth in shock with eyes as wide as saucers as they shuddered in fear.

"Its like watching a scary movie." "The psycho is even crazier than I thought." They murmured distinctively. The last couples were shown on TV.

"It was my San Hye's toes and he wrote that she had pretty toes.." The parents said as they sobbed even harder than the rest. The workers gasped again and the murmuring didn't end even as they went to their positions.

Dae Hyun was about to enter the elevator when So Ra called him.

"Sir." She called and he took a deep breath before he turned around to meet her smiling face but he could tell from one look that it wasn't genuine.

"Yes." He answered stiffly.

"We never had our drink anymore, I guess you must have been busy." She said but Dae Hyun hadn't been too busy to have a drink with her, he just didn't want to and if only she saw how he pictured her in his head, she wouldn't want to be anywhere near him.

"Ahh...I see..it's been a busy year, whenever I'm free we'll reschedule." He lied gracefully and he saw her smile get wider.

"Alright, I'll be looking forward to it." She said but he knew that wasn't the reason she called him, it was barely a diversion for the real reason.

"Why did you really call me?" He asked, he was eager to chase her off and moreover, the beautiful face of his secretary was waiting for him to adore.

"Truthfully, I just wanted to know if you're in any relationship with Min Hye." She asked nervously. Dan Hye let out a sarcastic short laugh.

"Why? Do I have to discuss my relationship life with you?" He asked and for a moment, his gaze turned cold making her stutter.

"I..I'm sorry Sir, I only asked because she said something like you both were dating." She said and his brows raised up questioningly.

"She said what?" He said with a sarcastic smirk on his face.

It was time for lunch break, the workers cheerily went out to eat but Min Hye was still glued to her chair, she never went out to eat during lunch break as well as Dae Hyun but she was surprised to see him come out of his office.

"Lets have lunch together." He said and she fluttered her eyelashes at his words, since when did they start eating lunch and together?

"What? Are you hungry?" She asked.

"Yes aren't you hungry?" He asked.

"Not really." She said with a blank expression.

"Accompany me then since you're my girlfriend." He said with a smile on his gorgeous face and she almost choked up on his words.

"Why would you say that when I'm not your girlfriend?" She asked rhetorically.

"Its what you told So Ra and I didn't even know I had a girlfriend." He said with a serious facial expression and she couldn't help but let out a laughter, revealing her perfectly white set of teeth. He had never seen her laugh before and she looked even more beautiful as she did, everything about her seemed so unique and intriguing in his eyes.

"I only told So Ra that because she was being really annoying." Min Hye said as her laughter slowly died down.

"Do you want me to shut her up permanently?" He asked with an all serious expression on his face and Min Hye saw a dark glint in his eyes and she knew it wasn't just a joke, but she felt herself getting attracted to his dark side, she felt more allured to his mysterious secrets which she knew wasn't pretty in any way but still, she was slowly getting sucked into his world, his dark world.

"Lets have lunch then." She said with a smile on her face, she was getting used to him and he was the first person she felt connected to, she liked conversing with him and spending time with him, the first person that she could be her real self with, without forcing it or pretending and if he had a little dark secret, it didn't bother her, she had hers anyway.

Dae Hyun and Min Hye went to a cafe near their company and unfortunately, some of the workers frequented the place. The coworkers were surprised to see Dae Hyun and Min Hye eating lunch and together, jealousy hit So Ra stronger than a typhoon and her angry expression glued on her face couldn't be helped.

Dae Hyun and Min Hye sat in an empty table behind the small group of workers, they whispered distinctly among themselves as they eyed Min Hye wondering what Dae Hyun was doing eating lunch with her and it didn't take too long before they stirred up different kind of rumours. They had just ordered a meal when Dae Hyu broke the silence.

"I didn't know those pestering insects would be here, do you want to leave?" He asked as he degraded the workers in front of her, she noticed how he showed more of his true self around her but when conversing with the other workers, he'd be totally different, she didn't need a brain to know how dangerous he was but dangerous or not, she wasn't going to let him go, not when she had found someone like her.

"Its okay, I really don't care about any of them anyway." She said with a low voice.

"So we can date then." He said and she shot her eyes up to look at him with a blank expression.

"Why do you want to date me? Most men would say I'm weird." She said with a flat tone but deep down she was happy because he felt the same way she felt.

"Because I'm not most men and you're not most women." His reply was short firm and simple. She held back the smile that wanted to cut through her lips, but the blush on her cheeks gave her away.

"That's a unique answer but I'm not sure I'm ready to date someone I know barely anything about." She stated as she fiddled with her chopsticks avoiding his gaze and a grin spread on his face.

"I'll tell you everything you want to know about me." He said and she raised her head up as she locked gaze with him but for a second.

"Really? You're not lying?" She asked.

"No, why will I lie to you?" He said.
