Volume Hundred and Twenty Three

Before the guts landed around us, I covered my daughter eyes. I still think she is too young to see all of this. I have a good time for her until I expose her to everything in this world, just have to wait until the time is right. After the explosion, the Prodigal picked me. " Dwarf, and pussy Mage. You two cover us while we make our way to the carriage!.". They were startled by the Prodigal voice. This is the first time I've heard someone raise their voice for my own sake it's very refreshing. My family don't do it cause they know I always come back too them, there will be a day when I don't come back home. That thought has always crossed my mind when I go out to support my family. Stepping over the disembodied parts of the demons that were chasing us, the heavy breathing of the Mage. His heavy breathing isn't helping me. He has to get over this type of situation quickly. I'm surprised that the dwarf isn't reaching like the mage, maybe I shouldn't have said anything. The rattling sound fo his axe collision with his armor on his knees. Well at least they can follow orders decent enough for me,maybe this group can make it back to Nord. Safely is going to be another question. I fell into the carriage, this is a Royal Carriage. Why would the Prodigal have a royal carriage?. Especially from a kingdom where neither of us have any experience with. Something is very odd with this whole situation right now, the demons make sense cause of the Etens menstrual blood. I hope that he will join us until we arrive a Nord. That will help us a tremendously, we entered the carriage. To my surprise we are still standing. I have to repay the Prodigal later when I get the chance to, I don't know when that is. Whenever it comes down to it. I will help him with whatever he needs help with. We started our journey back to Nord, with the awkward silence that followed us. While the carriage began to move out to the woods. I was placed on the bench that was screwed into the sides of the carriage, normally these benches would be used for carrying food. The only reason I know that is that cause of the Smell of carrot's. I would love a snack right now. Before my wife can cook anything I have to make sure that we have a safe area to do so. I don't want another ambush. I took a long glance around the Carriage, something still doesn't add up. Why didn't the Prodigal kill my family or freak out when they saw a demon clinging to me?, the others they have good reasons. They weren't brought up the same way as me and The Prodigal were. The way we were brought up is that anything that is besides human or enemies. It didn't matter if they had children or something, they were slaughtered. I can't tell you the amount of times I saw a baby goblin or a elderly warlock. They use to but bounty's on those types of enemies. I couldn't understand why they would have bounties on them though, I could see it if they were a young and outrageous orge. Heck even back then elves were a top notch bounty. It's a sad world we live in nowadays, God made us in his own image. But mankind altered their image. Changed what they thought was right and wrong, I use to do the same things for humans as well for elves. They would do a very sick thing to do if they couldn't capture them. now it's not hard to capture them at all. I overheard some stories on how to capture them. Once you see a fairly you would shoot their wings off with an arrow or with a fireball. Oblivious the fireball would automatically kill the poor thing, once the wings are gone from a fairly. They have no defense to help them against any predators. The ones they couldn't find I would go and search for those, most of the time when I did find the ones that escaped the hunt. Their reason for living is gone. Cause they can't use the two things they had to defend themselves, their wings obviously are for flying. Their fairly dust is very poisons to any creature. Regardless of all that information I had spilled out for no reason. While I was resting the mage and the dwarf began asking the Prodigal questions. " What type of spell was that?. Who the hell are you?!, we had the situation under control. What is your business with Marcus?!. And what In the fuck are those crest for anyways?!!!!". I don't know the full story of the Prodigal. All I know is that he is a very powerful Mage. Some people in this world are born with natural talent when it comes to combat or intelligence, he is probably one of the blessed one. I know when Adamsin first started out he use to give him a hard time. I always wonder how good actually was he, what I've witnessed from him in the woods. It must be true he really is as strong as they said he was. Even though I knew Adamsin for the majority of my life I never actually saw him go all out before. The carriage was slowly heading to Nord. I can't complain cause this is reduce the time of arrival, The Prodigal answer to their questions was very nonchalant. " It's very simple actually. You are not me!". Well that's was kinda of rude of him to answer like that. " Jim!. The first reason is that I would love to move my wife to Nord. It's much safer than living out in the woods, my age is getting to me. The main reason is that I've been invited to join the Mages association!!!!.".
