Cale sighed deeply as he looked at Perez's back, leading the way ahead. He had assumed that Perez had found out about the Union and everything else later. But it seemed that Perez had already sensed it.

"What makes you think that? Aren't they doing their assigned duty? And if the disease in your town is contagious, they have to protect other people."

Cale couldn't understand, but he could imagine, how the town of Gotem, which had been completely cast aside in the past, felt now.

Here they had all become prisoners. Although they were not handcuffed or shackled, they were all in prison. They ate and slept, but they were losing hope for the future day by day.

They dreamed of being as healthy as they used to be, but they lived in fear, not knowing when it would be their turn to die.
