The Begin...

I facepalm myself, knowing what's about to go down. The old man finally tells me his name, though I've already heard it a few thousand times.

"Hello, I'm Pr. Oak, the Pokémon professor of this region," he smiles. "What is your name?"

"Uh, Gold I guess," I reply, confused.

He grins.

"That's a nice name you have there," he exclaims. "Now it is time to get your Pokémon adventure started."

The room glows with a blinding light.

I look around confused that I am now in a bedroom. I shake my head.

"What did I expect," I sigh and begin to look around. That is when I realize I have the Pokemon controller in my hand. I continue to look around, seeing if I can find any potions or answers.

I realize that I am really in the game.

"Oh shoot, is this one of those cliche stories where I have to finish the game to go home."

I wait for a response but get none.

"I guess so."

I go down the stair to see what's in the living room. I find two adults.

[They must be my parents in the game, I guess I'll go talk to them.]

"I'm so happy that you're finally getting your first Pokémon," she greets.

I smile and say goodbye to my "parents". I leave the house and see my rival.

[Well this is going to be fun.]

His name suddenly pops up above him.

[Gray, just great.]

"Hey, long time no see," he beams. "Here have this, it will help you out in the future."

He quickly hands me a revive and some other potions. And though he hides it well I can still see that he's a little flustered and the tip of his ears are red.

[Whatever.]

I just except and we head to the Lab, and Pr. Oaks greets us. He takes us to a room with a bunch of pokeballs.

I chose an Eevee, while Gray picks a Pikachu, Pr. Oaks hands us some more pokeballs and a Pokedex.

"Ya know, you two remind me of a cute young couple," Pr. Oaks grins.

Gray blushes all the way to his ears and I blush slightly, facepalming myself.

Gray challenges me to a battle.

"Eevee, use swift," I order, she attacks Pikachu.

"Pikachu use quick attack," Gray yells, he attacks but Eevee evades.

"Eevee use swift," I command, and Pikachu faints.

"You win Gold," Gray pouts.

We leave and I head to the first branch to get the boulder badge at a rock gym.

On the road to the city with it, I come across a wild boy Nidoran. I can tell it's a boy by its purple color.

It attacks me and I dodge roll to the side, I summon Eevee and have her use swift on him. Knocking him out, I throw a pokéball and wait in anticipation as it twitches.

Suddenly it burst out of the pokeball and starts running to the tall grass. I leave the pokeball and chase after it and trip. Accidentally throwing the pokeball in my hand.

When I get up, I realize that I have captured it and pick it up. That's when I realize that when I fell, one of my other pokeballs rolled out of my messenger bag. I find it and realize I caught something in it!

I throw it into the air, calling out the Pokemon inside and out pops a really weak Weedle the caterpillar Pokemon.

"Could be worse," I mumble to myself. "I guess I have a lot of training to do."

I look over all three of my new Pokemon, and I pat their heads. But when I pat Weedle's head, he faints instantly.

"A lot of training," I facepalm myself yet again.

Nidoran almost faints from laughter and Weedle laughs and giggles on the ground. Eevee tackles Nidoran, scratching and biting him. Nidoran runs away from her and goes back into his pokeball. I get ready to train them for the rock type gym.

After intense training, I get out of the tall grass and back onto the road after putting my two newest Pokemon back into their pokeballs and into my bag. I also grab the pokéball that Nidoran escaped from.

I have Eevee walk alongside me when we enter the city. And I just so happened to spot my supposed rival, Gray.

"You have got to be kidding me," I grumble.

"Hey, long time no see! How are your Pokemon," he asks, almost jumping up and down?

"Yeah, I was just on my way to the gym," I reply, trying to avoid another battle.

"Oh really," he grins, then smirks. "Let's see how powerful you are now."

[Here we go again.]
