Chapter-12:

I turned to the right into the alleyway when a warm hand engulfed mine and dragged me further in. After the initial jerk of surprise, I followed compliantly since I already knew it was Adrien

Unlike the last time, Adrien looked too determined as he took my hands and held them between us. The black camera gleamed in the dim alley, reminding me of why we were here. He slid off the ring off my finger, eyeing it with hooded eyes.

He put it in his pocket and focused his gaze on me. I squirmed underneath his direct perusal, the urge to tug my hair increasing. I resisted, not wanting to reveal my nervousness.

I was feeling everything and nothing all at once. I barely began to grasp everything that had happened in the past few hours. Things had shifted and I was pulled into a mess I had no way of escaping. At least not until I was revealed everything.
