The Thunderclap's entrance into the woods was quickly followed by King Cole and Marie, the two tearing through the trees at astonishing speeds, one relying on the power of her Prometheus gift and the other on the immense divine energy the Chosen could draw from.
It took a moment for Marie to realise the king had shot far ahead of her without breaking a sweat, reminding her of an incident from a few days ago, right before Katie's duel against Casper.
Back then, the ground shook in response to two running wolves, and moments later, Katie and Cole emerged into the clearing, displaying a scene of playfulness never seen before among royals.
She hadn't thought much about it at the time… but now, it was too plain for her to see.
