Chapter 2

"Hey, Harley. It's time for bed." Polaris looks into the room and sees her in the same spot she had been in for the last couple of hours. It wasn't like she was just sitting there. She did chores, ate, tried to watch TV, etc. She would just always end up drifting back into the chair at his side.

Polaris wondered what her relationship was with the boy but he figured it would be disrespectful to ask at the moment and even more disrespectful to check her memories. Then it hit him. "Excuse me, Jinx? Do you know the relationship between Harley and that boy?"

"His name is Robin, not "that boy" and nope. Crunch... Not at all. She's a villain and he's a hero. I was surprised myself honestly. Crunch... I was sure she would have finished him off given their backgrounds. Crunch... At least the small bit I know. Maybe they had a forbidden love or something in the other world." Jinx says as she pops chips into her mouth. "Speaking of which where is this place? It's definitely not Jump City or Gotham."

"Fuchsia City, in the Kanto Region. What is Jump City? It must be in the Gotham Region correct?" He answers walking to the kitchen. Jinx hops up and follows not wanting to be rude. She was a villain, but she wasn't villain enough to be in Arkham Asylum. She was respectful when she needed to be.

"Nope. It's far from Gotham. Much nicer too."

"Really? I guess it makes sense. Here is nice but there are some cities here that are nasty themselves."

"Guess every place has its own Gotham huh?" She watches as he starts to make some tea and then something catches her attention. "Is it Christmas time here?"

"Indeed. Tomorrow actually."

"Oh wow. I should go shopping then. It's been a while but Harley should have the same tastes. Do you have a way to trade money? I doubt mine is any good."

"She is a surprisingly simple woman." He agrees with a chuckle. "Yeah, follow me, I created a converter just in case Harley decided to return home. However, turns out that after one trip she decided that she didn't want to return anymore so it's just been collecting dust."

"We can return?" Jinx asks excitedly.

"Not anymore. Harley didn't want Naevia to ever end up there so she begged me to destroy the machine."

"Did you?"

"Yes. I destroyed it a month ago."

"Damn. I take it Harley didn't want to have a kid so you guys adopted."

"No. She's biological. She turned ten last month." Polaris tells her and offers her a glass.

"Impossible. Harley has only been missing for four years. There is no way she has a ten-year-old."

"Fascinating. That means there must be a time gap between your world and mine. How long ago did you arrive here?"

"I don't know. Maybe 5-6 hours ago."

"Hmmm. Have to research this tomorrow. This is interesting. If I can submit proof there is a time difference between universes it'll make the creation of the millennium for sure..."

Jinx can only raise an eyebrow in confusion as he starts muttering to himself happily. She walks over to the memorabilia room where Robin was being held and finds Harley stretching.

"Oh, Jinx. Whatcha need girl?" Harley says with her usual smile.

"Sorry to interrupt. Do you have a place I can crash?"

"There's the barn, but ole Polaris would be upset if that got crashed." Harley jokes and Jinx can't stop the smile on her lips.

"That wasn't me... Wasn't me on purpose? I'd have crashed it in a much more stylish fashion."

They both laugh turning the day's event into a joke. Polaris had repaired the roof as soon as he patched up Robin the best he could. The hole in Naevia's room was still there but he decided that was a tomorrow problem.

"Come wit' me. You can crash here girl." Harley says as Jinx follows behind her.

"Thanks."

Sinnoh

"How ya doing Star?" Beast Boy asks from across the bed.

Currently, the four Titans were in all checked into a Hospital in a town called Twinleaf Town. Surprisingly all their injuries were pre-fall. The girl named Dawn took them there and helped them get checked in. They all liked her. Even Raven only distrusted her. Which was saying something because Raven disliked and distrusted everyone equally.

"Fine."

"..."

The others can only respond with silence. They were a day and a half in and ever since she regained consciousness Starfire hadn't been very talkative like usual.

"You know he'll come for us Star. He would never abandon us without a reason." Raven tells her doing her best in her own way to cheer up Starfire. "He is one of the very few people I know who'll literally crawl through the depths of hell for all of us. We all know his luck. He's basically invincible."

Then it happened. It was very slight. But a smile cracked her lips and a small giggle escaped. "You speak the truth. He is more durable than a Tamaranean Warship."

Keeersssh

"Pardon me."

"Ah, Nurse Joy. Come in." Cyborg waves a hand to Nurse Joy who peeked her head inside.

"Are we all feeling well?" She asks pushing in a tray of food. "Oh, Miss Starfire. I see you're finally smiling."

"Yes, Nurse. I have realised that my worries were trivial. My friend will either find me or I'll find him." Starfire says sitting up.

"That's the spirit. However, I do have some sad bad news in regard to your stay. Due to your injuries, you'll all be here for roughly 13 weeks. We still have some surgeries that need to be done as well." Nurse Joy says and to the other Titan's surprise, she keeps her soft smile.

"Thank you, Nurse. I know you are working your hardest."

"Thank you, dear." Nurse Joy finishes passing out their evening meal. It was grilled Torchic, with mashed potatoes, seasoned beans, and brown rice. "Gifts will be brought to you guys later tonight."

"Thank you." The group tell her as they watch her leave.

"Today is their equivalent of Christmas huh?" Cyborg says.

"Merry Christmas friends!" Starfire says cheerfully back to her bubbly self. "Let us do our best to create and make some festivities."

"Yeah, I agree with Star." Beast Boy says carefully adjusting himself.

"Whatever. If it keeps Starfire happy, I'm down." Raven says crossing her arms and looking away.

"Heck yeah. We about to be the most lit room in this joint." Cyborg adds as they begin planning. They call for Nurse Joy to ask what the limits were and if they could have some supplies. Nurse Joy happily provided supplies and told them the only limit was no putting holes in the wall.

Kanto

"Merry Christmas!" Naevia happily opens the door and walks in to find the expected tree, presents, and her two parents on the couch watching TV awaiting her return.

"Merry Christmas babygirl." Harley says getting up just in time to catch her excited daughter.

"I got like, soooo many stories. Like so many. Oh, oh. Look at this pretty stone and she'll I found... Also, look at this funny-looking soda..." She tells them before happily going into what she found on the way home.

"Ooh. Is this your squirt?" Jinx asks as she walks down the stairs with a few presents.

"I'm not a squirt." Naevia says defending herself. "I'm Naevia."

"You are kind of a squirt." Harley says and she quickly looks away to keep from laughing at the look of pure shock that came from her daughter.

"Mooom. Daddy, am I a squirt?" She asks heartbrokenly as she turns to Polaris who scratches the side of his head.

"I mean. You are on the short side sweety." He finally says and there's a soft Pfft from Harley as the look of pure shock and betrayal appears over her daughter's face.

"Nooooo. Not you too daddy." Naevia whines as she drops to her knees with her face in her hands.

"It's okay kid. I was a squirt until I got older." Jinx says patting her head. "I'm Jinx. Here, have some presents. Have fun."

"All of these for me?" She asks looking up at Jinx. It appeared the "squirt" line was forgiven at the sight of multiple presents.

"I'm Naevia. Nice to meet you Jinx." Naevia says before confirming that she can open them. "Are we going to Uncle Ash and Aunt Misty's?"

"We are. Mommy will be joining a little later." Polaris tells her while rubbing her head.

"Why can't we wait for mommy and we go together?"

"Well, you see mommy has a very sick friend and needs to visit him. Wouldn't you be very sad if you were very sick today and Agron didn't visit you?" Polaris asks and she thinks it over before nodding.

"I would be very sad if Agron did not visit me." Naevia says while unwrapping a present as perfectly as she can. "Mommy should visit her friend."

"Thank you for understanding sweet pea. Tomorrow we'll go out for ice cream as an apology for being late." Harley says turning back around to rub her daughter's head.

"Bye, bye mommy. See you later." Naevia yells while waving over her shoulder as they prepare to go to Ash's.

"I'll watch over the squirt for you." Jinx yells to her as she sits on the passenger side window.

"Thank you. Don't drink too much babe." Harley responds while also telling her husband to not drink too much and he gives her a thumbs up and she smiles softly. "He's going to end up drinking too much."

With her final thought, she waves them off and closes the door. As soon as it clicked shut her tears finally shed. She goes into the kitchen and pulls out a bottle of Jack, pours half a cup, then walks into the bedroom with Robin and from under the bed she pulls out a small bottle of pills. She shakes two out and downs the drink. After a minute or two er head gets heavy and nods as the pills and liquor go into effect.

"This isn't funny any more bird brain... You need... to wa...ke up. Bat's... is going...to... kill me." She says sleepily as she takes his hand. "Just... Gimme... a si..."

Beep, beep, beep

"Mmrrrm." Harley sits up and rubs the sleep dust from her eyes. "Ah, two hours already huh? Guess I should go huh? Okay Boy Wonder. My mind is clear. I'll be back as soon as possible okay?"

She stretches herself out and then goes to her room to change. Once she finds a modest elf outfit she does a final check on Robin and heads over to Ash's.

Sinnoh

"Hahahaha. What is that Raven?" Beast Boy laughs as Raven struggled to cut out a snowflake.

"Shut up. I'm showing the kids what not to do." She retorts as all the kids around them laugh and talk amongst themselves. They still couldn't believe that their room got turned into the new Christmas room.

Apparently, one of the oncoming Nurse Joy's (a concept that still confused them) saw the room and assumed it was a type of after-party for the children. So, she collected them and brought them there. They hadn't done much. They just threw up some streamers, a tree and just random Christmas art they drew or got off the Internet.

"Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas!"

Everyone turns as Santa walks into the room. He had a giant sack with him as well and the kids went crazy.

"Whoa now. Calm down, everyone. Single file. Santa has something for everyone."

As the kids all form a single file line the other three Titans can only stifle their laughs as Cyborg's holographic suit still seemed to be operational as he was now playing Santa Clause. "He's pretty good doncha think?"

"He is. Surprisingly." Raven agrees as Beast Boy passes her a pack of candy. "Want some Star?"

"Yes please," Starfire answers as Raven hands her some as well. "This is quite joyous no?"

"Indeed. I didn't think we'd be having fun so early in our trip." Raven says popping more candy in her mouth.

"You can say that again." Beast Boy nods.

"Thank you all so much. Once again I apologise for the mistake." Nurse Joy tells them but they just brush it off.

"It's fine. We're actually having more fun than we would have if you hadn't done this." Raven tells her.

"Totally. Plus, look at the kids. They are having a blast." Beast Boy adds and Nurse Joy smiles.

"That is true. They are having a grand time."

The little party went on until about midnight since the kids were more hyper than usual but none of the Joy's had the heart to stop them.

Kanto

"Yaaaaay! Mommies here!" Naevia happily runs to the door as Harley walks in.

"Hey puddin. You having fun? Oh, thanks." Harley asks as she takes a mug from Jinx.

"Yooooo, Harl's you made it." Ash yells from the kitchen. He comes and hugs her.

"It's been a while." Misty adds as she comes down the stairs and hugs her as well. "We've both been lonely without our little miscreants haven't we."

"That is true. I actually intended to come by yesterday too but a family friend got sick and I was the only one able to spend some time with him." She explains and Misty nods.

"See, normally I'd say I don't believe you but Polaris told us how you're taking care of a friend so it must be true since he can't lie to save his life."

"I can too." He says defending himself and the two girls chuckle.

"I guess now that you're here we can open gifts," Misty says passing her a small box.

"Awe, thank you. Alright, kids. You heard her. You can open them." Harley tells the two kids and they happily start opening them.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Arrrrrgggmm." Robin moans painfully and his fingers twitch.
