Ariel didn't know if she was excited or terrified of the words he just said. How she wanted to hear them. How she wanted to believe them. That was the problem, she did believe them. That way lay disaster in so many ways. This was an area she was not familiar with and it scared her.
He moved his head so that his mouth came over hers. Then walked her back so that she was between him and the glass behind her. He kissed her deeply with demand. He wanted to have her and he didn't see a reason not to. Because today wasn't anything special to him, nor the ring on his hand. Malachi reached down and pushed at the skirt so that he could grip the back of her thigh and lifted her against him. He ground against her slightly and she moaned a bit into his mouth. He raised his head enough so that his mouth was nearly touching hers.
