"Mother, I want to stay alone. Please leave."
Oliver's stiff voice came as soon as Evelyn stepped inside the room.
He had thought that it was his mother who had come inside the room. He frowned deeply. He had wanted to lock the door because he was not in the mood of talking to his mother.
But then he thought that if he locked the door then he would increase his mother's worry. Already at the age of fourteen, Oliver knew that his mother's worries has increased since his accident and he didn't wish to overburden her. But sometimes his mother was too much.
Evelyn lowered her head. She was slightly scared.
She had not talked to Gianna's two children up till now. Though they didn't look bad, Evelyn had an inherent fear of the big children than her. Back then in the tribe, she used to be bullied by her cousins with their friends who were always taller and bigger than her.
However, she could also not see Gianna upset.
