The players

Chapter 4: The players

I managed to sleep at night even though I was delusional. I was stuck with the same words he said to me. Now that I think about it, he is damn good. But My human perception knew that a problem is right in front of the day. Which was not technically wrong. I was going to go find Emerald who was on my way to a lecture that we both have today. But on my way, I overheard about the fight yesterday. I guess the news is about me again. I hate myself for being trending every time. I was super early when I arrived at the class. I opened the door and I was stunned. Akuma was making over a girl. They didn't even notice after a few seconds. I smiled when looking at the view. "So, clearly you're a player huh!" I shouted at a distance. They panicked when they heard me and the girl was so stunned. "What took you so long to notice?" He replied. That was rude, to be honest. "Oh, boy. You've played the wrong girl." I said as the other girl got her way out of the mess. "Man! I haven't even played her. Now all my effort is a waste." he replied. "Can't believe I still have to work with you. But I am sure that you don't want to lose Jimmey so, let's not get into emotions in the competition." I replied just so done with everything. "You think I care about you? Cute," he replied. My fits of anger started to obscure my head. If there was a knife nearby I would've already killed him. "So on, player," I said as I slammed the door with a bang. I never did realize how bad people were and started to trust them again. But little did I know those people were the only people who could make me cry.

After the emotions finally went away I knew that it was all for using me and none of them actually meant their true emotions to me. I can't even believe that I was being used and it's only my first week.

I was in the garden alone sitting. I didn't actually get what was happening so, I just kept staring at the ground. "Loser, loser. Well, heard you made Akuma and Jimmey fight yesterday and surprisingly you were the one who got hurt huh?" Stella said behind my back. "Well, not like that Jimmey was fighting over you. Ouch, did it hurt deep inside? Does he even cares about you?" I replied. "I know that he doesn't love me but I do. Just stay out of the way." She shouted as she rushed back. So, she knows? She knows about it. So, why is Jimmey dating her? There's no reason, right? My curiosity led me to find Jimeey but he was nearby on a bench reading a book. "Mind if I sit?" I asked. "Sure, why not." He replied. I sat right beside him and it took me a while to think what I should say to him without being too curious. "Don't mind about this but why are you dating Stella? Everyone knows that you don't like her." I asked softly. "Yeah, that's true. I don't like her. I never did but our parents forced us to. They said only if we get together I am allowed to attend this school. I never wanted to date her. I never actually liked her." He replied. "So, you're using her to attend this school?" I asked. "Yeah, technically." He said. "What if you find someone you love? Wouldn't that be a problem in your life?" I asked. I was waiting for his reply but he just replied to me with a smile. "Wanna go get some ice cream? The view from the lakeside is very pretty, we can go there if you want." He said as he looked at me. I nodded as we walked to the ice cream shop. The ice creams were super delicious. But I didn't know what was our status. I turned around to look at him when he smiled back. My heart pounded faster than a flash of lightning. "Is this a date?" he asked. "I-i don't know. We should not consider this as a date," I replied as we reached the lakeside. After a few minutes of waiting the sun started to set. "Wow! Have you ever seen something prettier than this," I said as I gazed up at the sky. "Yeah, you." He whispered even though I could barely hear it. I turned around to ask him about it again. "Pardon. My bad I didn't quite catch that," I said. "Nothing. I think I found out what I want right now. And I am not gonna give up till it's mine." he said.
