The man sitting opposite of us looked rather confused, but began to speak. "How did a System Bearer end up in a world so close to a Prime World, and screw it up so utterly violently?"

I shrug, "Not actually sure about that." I say, "Lin fan probably ended up screwing everyone like he usually does." The man glares at me. "How the hell do you know that name?"

He facepalms "Of course this is one of his bullshit schemes. You're probably entirely innocent too. You Even have a downgraded version of his the strongest system. He probably told you that you were his successor right?" I nod, and Rem looks utterly lost.

He nods at me. "You have great taste in companions. Tell you what, since you both seem like standup people and Lin fan screwed you so horribly, I feel bad for you." He grins and looks at Rem.

"Lin fan kind of made your life better than it was supposed to be though." She looks like she wants to pull out her Morningstar at that. "your life would have been you trapped in your own head while no one remembers you while a weak idiot with barely any power tries to find a way to revive you. failing. You would be in a coma for eternity. never aging, going mad in your own head." She sits back down looking dejected.

He then looks at me. "I'm going to reincarnate you into a world you should be quite familiar with, and send you both together there. You will both share a system. It will unlock when you have entered the academy."

"Academy?" I ask, "There are plenty of worlds with Academy's in fiction. can you at least tell us where we are going?"

He grins, and says. "Spoilers!" snaps his fingers and we both fall through the void.

I awaken in a crib at some not very well maintained room. I look around noticing a girl at the same age as me, looking around. Our eyes meet and I grin a toothless baby grin at what I know to be Rem due to the tiny fleck of blue hair. I am one years old it seems. I look around and see that there is a tag attached to my crib. 'Ryota Zakko.' Guess my new name is Zakko, with a family name Ryota.

I look at Rem, and see that her name is still Rem and she has the family name of Onikishin Wow, a family name that basically translates to Mad Demon. Talk about Rude.

'System' I intone internally.
