The incessant beeping disturbed him from his deep sleep. His eyes fluttered open and it took him quite a while, a minute, maybe more before his eyes could focus and get used to the surroundings. He realized immediately that he wasn't in his room. The mattress made a lot of noise as he moved, and the covers weren't thick enough.
Where was he?
He winced feeling a slight throb in his skull.
What had happened?
He groaned in pain and frustration.
"Hey, hey" a hurried voice said from the side. He opened his eyes again and it was Beck. His blonde hair glowing around him like he was an angel.
"You're an angel" he said squinting his eyes.
Beck was beside him adjusting his pillows. "Do you want anything? Are you thirsty? Do you hurt?" he asked without a pause.
"My head hurts" he complained as he reached up to his head.
"Yeah. You had quite the fall. You got a concussion and some bruises. Other than that nothing too major".
