Chapter 26: A new bite

Three weeks later, Mason stood with Abigail on his arm at The Thirsty Dog. The industrial style atmosphere of the cool, dimly lit bar made it the perfect backdrop for the Summer Bite launch. The Thirsty Dog was a Maccon City favorite.

Mason had previewed all his new flavors at that location. The owner, Mike Bellamy, was a fellow Werewolf and a friend. He'd received quite the reputation as the first bar owner to buy and serve Bite and he was always happy to host a party for Lane Liquors Corporation.

Several large, expensive, flat-screen TVs were mounted onto the exposed beams surrounding the bar. All eyes were on those screens as they flashed a bright white before turning black. The DJ stopped the music on cue.

Mason did not have to wait long for silence. He squeezed his mate's hand and raised an eyebrow at the sly smile that curled at the corner of her red lips. God, she was beautiful. She nodded her head, a slight movement only he and the other Wolves present would've noticed.
