Protagonist

[Your Class is 'Pro Gamer'.]

I blankly stared at the message with a dumbfounded expression. This wasn't real, right? Surely my luck wouldn't be this bad? Not even an archer or mage, but a pro gamer? What powers would such a class even have? I would soon realize my potential.

"Haneul-ssi, what class did you get?"

"...It's not a good idea to tell anyone your class. Either way, I got a good one."

I wasn't sure about it. This was a class that was never mentioned in the game. Would it turn out to be a secret overpowered class? I didn't know. My only option was to feign myself as another class until I figure out what this class could do.

"Haneul-ssi, I got a weird class..."

Hm? If the original development was followed I was aware of what his class would be. Unless it was changed, it wouldn't, right?

"What class did you get?"

"A warlord."

I sighed a breath of relief. It was his original class, I was worried that it was something different. Despite its name the warlord class was just a fancier tank class. This was my main reason for recruiting Park Hyungseok into my team. I wasn't fit for the role of a tank, and given his build he was born for it.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure it's something good, maybe it's a secret overpowered class?"

"Eh?... I'm not that lucky."

Right... I'd forgotten how low self-esteem was. If I told him how great his class was right now suspicion would arouse. It was best to play dumb.

I lowered my head to see Lee Hanho tugging on my shirt.

"Did something happen?"

"My class."

"What is it?"

Now that I thought about it. Lee Hanho wasn't a character in the game, and neither was he NPC. I was curious about the class of the person who survived due to me.

"Summoner."

...My jaw dropped. Summoner?! He wasn't joking right??

"Hanho-ah, are you being serious right now?!"

"Yes."

I couldn't hide the astonishment on my face. No, wasn't it too good to be true? This child a summoner? A class directly below the necromancer... If I could raise his level enough...

While I was busy daydreaming about how overpowered my party would become with a summoner in it a message appeared in front of me.

[Your class integration has finally been completed.]

[ Your Class is affected by your current view of the world.]

As the final message finished narrating itself. I slowly felt my view of the world change.

"This is..."

The sensory overload caused me to stagger and fall on the ground. I held my head in pain as I slowly processed the information in front of me. What the hell was that?

"Kim Haneul-ssi, are you alright!"

"Haneul-ssi, what happened?!"

"I-I'm fine..."

I endured the sharp pain in my eyes and stood up. My heart was beating faster if it was truly as I had seen it... This class might be the craziest one.

I opened my eyes and the new world view burned deep into my eyes. My eyes slowly shifted from one place to another, minimizing the information overload.

I light laughed. I couldn't believe I would get such a class, but it was the only one that befitted me.

I could clearly see it. information and thoughts. Wasn't this a broken class? Even if it didn't give me a buff in any stat, access to restricted information was putting me at a huge advantage.

My eyes shifted to Yoo Mia that was currently looking at me with a worried expression. I didn't know her class if my guess was correct... I should be able to.

[You currently view the world as a game.]

[Your exclusive skill, 'Character attribution' is activated.]

[You currently cannot see this person's information.]

[This person isn't registered as a character.]

What?... The person wasn't registered as a character...? Since Yoo Mia was a real person and not a character from the game I couldn't see her information. That was the most plausible answer.

Since that was useless I tried to use the skill on another person.

[Your exclusive skill, 'Character attribution' is activated.]

[Currently, there is no information on this person.]

...Huh? Lee Hanho's information wasn't accessable. I had expected it but being slapped in the face with it was a bit disappointing.

[Information on this person is currently being collected.]

My thought process by interrupted by the sudden message. I blankly stared at the bizarre message. Information was being collected, what? Was Lee Hanho currently in the process of being turned into a character...? It was a scary thought, would the same happen to after some time?...

I decided to stop the pessimistic thinking and began to make my way toward the museum. The game consisted of a 1000 dungeons that had to be cleared and countless calamities. There were still people who dropped the game after clearing 100 or 300 of those dungeons. If my guess was correct every player that played up till the 200th main dungeon would be making their way towards the museum. It was a race against time.

[Due to an unforeseen intervention the second calamity has been delayed.]

The message was just what I had been wanting to hear. If the second calamity deviated me from going to Jung-gu district I would be at a major disadvantage later on.

"We should utilize this opportunity. Start running."

I felt like the party leader giving out commands. Thankfully no one said anything against me taking lead and complied with what I said.

After 10 minutes of running we entered Jung-gu district. With the exception of Park Hyungseok everyone was panting heavily. This beast of stamina...

"Kim Haneul-ssi, why did we come to the Seoul museum?"

I lightly grinned. "Artifact hoarding."

"...?"

Park Hyungseok had a confused look on his face. Of course, he wouldn't be aware of it. Due to the presence of 'ethos', the monuments and artifacts inside the museum had become filled with it. By now that guy should've already left this place.

The problem was, There would be many people gathered here from different regions of Korea. Among them would be former top players aiming for the artifacts in the museum.

We silently climbed the stairs of the museum. It was quieter than I had expected. Were we too early?

As expected. I opened the door of the museum and laid in front of us was a charred corpse.

"This is..."

Yoo Mia stopped herself from vomiting at the disgusting site. Surprisingly Lee Hanho was holding up quiet well, he didn't flinch a bit at the sight of the corpse. I was worried for this child...

As we entered the museum the feeling of countless gazes fell upon us. Some were hidden while some were obvious. The chances of getting ambushed here were high, there would be several assassin-class characters waiting for an opening...

Every person here was someone that had played the game. I was aware of what they would be aiming for. The artifact that was kept in the medieval classical era.

Daedongyeojido. (1)

It was an invaluable artifact. If you were a beginner that is. The map was now filled with ethos and contained information about various dungeons and monsters. Of course, the information was only viable till the 20th calamity.

"Hyung, what artifacts are we going to get?"

I had a rough idea of what artifacts to give to my party.

"It will be something good."

We made our way to the main area and got engulfed in the frenzy. Precious artifacts were being thrown at one another.

"These bastards have no respect for historical artifacts..."

As a history major it hurt seeing this. The broken artifacts were third-rate relics so my plan hadn't been turned to dust for now.

My biggest worry was the culprit behind that charred body. Someone had already been recruited by the fire Lunal. That was a problem.

In the middle of the commotion a large man preparing himself for a fight could be seen. His build was slightly bigger than Park Hyungseok's. Sparks appeared around the man as he lunged onto the woman that had been hoarding artifacts in front of him.

Before I was spared time to even blink the body of the woman exploded into countless pieces. A strong adversary had appeared.

Electric magic. He had already awakened. I wasn't confident in my ability to beat the man in a head-on fight. Of course, I never planned a head on fight.

The item that I had been aiming for on this floor was still intact. My senses heightened as the sparks entered my attack range. Was he planning on going on a rampage right now?

"Hyungseok-ssi, I need you to do something."

"Yes?"

[The exclusive skill, 'Character attribution' is activated.]

[Character information.]

Name: Park Hyungseok

Level: 3

Class: Warlord

Attribute: Iron heart

Coins owned: 1000

Lunal: The Lunal of Mountains

Ethos: 50

Aspect: Iron Wall Lv.1

Overall stats: STR Lv.8, VIT Lv.5, END Lv.10, AGI Lv.3

As I had expected. His information was as I had originally known. I wouldn't have come to the museum if I didn't have Park Hyungseok in my team. He was an indispensable element for my party.

"Hyungseok-ssi, I'm leaving you to deal with him."

His eyes anxiously shook. He must've expected it to a degree but hearing it was nerve-wracking. Even then, I was aware of the choice he would make.

"Can I do it...?"

"I trust in Hyungseok-ssi."

It wasn't baseless flattery. I trusted Park Hyungseok to deal with that guy. He had great offensive and defensive skills, on top of his exceptional motor skills. If I could train Park Hyungseok correctly, he'd become a force to be reckoned with.

Before I could say anything else Park Hyungseok rammed toward the man going on a rampage.

"...I didn't explain the whole plan."

However, I had nothing to worry about. Right now, only one person was stronger than Park Hyungseok and he wasn't here.

"Haneul-ssi, I'll keep him busy! So do what you have to!"

I lightly smiled at his words. Right, now wasn't the time to think up an articulate strategy. Yoo Mia and Lee Hanho ran at my signal and I made my way towards the first artifact.

"Got it."

I turned my head and saw Lee Hanho's face. Lee Hanho was someone I had originally no plan of saving, but his class was too good to give up. I needed to raise his level to an extent to be able to stand up to that guy when the time comes.

"Catch."

I threw the scroll at Lee Hanho and he awkwardly caught it.

"What is this...?"

"You'll know once you open it."

A strange aura circulated Lee Hanho as he opened the scroll in his hands.

The Pinewood Tiger.

One of the strongest artifact for summoners at the game's beginning. After I found out Lee Hanho's class I knew I had to get him this artifact.

A massive tiger, about 3-4 meters jumped out from the scroll and landed on the man that Park Hyungseok had been fighting. The tiger's roar shook the museum and at that moment everyone fell silent.

"Hyung, this is..."

"Congratulations on your first summon."

The tiger's sharp fangs cut throw the spectator's flesh as all they could do was cry for help. Wait...

"Hyungseok-ssi, run!"

The tiger leaped forward and tried to claw Park Hyungseok who barely managed to escape by an inch.

Shit, was this too much? I didn't take into consideration Hanho's skills. If the tiger goes into frenzy... Let's just say no one would come out of the museum alive.

In the distance, Lee Hanho could be desperately seen trying to control the tiger. Blood trickled down from his nose as his body trembled uneasily. Slowly, the tiger's movements became more docile before it finally fell silent and sat down.

"Hanho-ah, are you alright?"

"... I'm fine."

"Haneul-ssi, do you think it was too much for Hanho-ah?"

...Yoo Mia was right. I got blinded by his class and didn't consider his overall level. But seeing how he was able to control it after some effort, maybe it wasn't so bad.

The tiger went back into the scroll as Lee Hanho slowly regained his senses. By now the crowd was too scared to approach us and slowly backed away. Well, the tiger did something...

"Haneul-ssi, what now?"

"I have a plan."

Park Hyungseok and I made our way towards the museum's top floor. I had left Lee Hanho with Yoo Mia. They would be safe since I gave Yoo Mia the gold bracelets, the bracelets increased the holder's overall stats by 4 levels. I was unaware of Yoo Mia's skills so I wasn't sure on what to give her.

The upper floor of the museum was shrouded in darkness. Someone had broken all the lights, it couldn't be him, right? Park Hyungseok wandered away from me as he started checking out all the artifacts.

So far, no one had made their way here, and the ones that did... They were currently bleeding to their death. The upper floor had corpses scattered around it. It was likely his doing.

Park Hyungseok picked up a bronze shield and had a delighted look on his face. The shield increased his defense and endurance skills but was it normal to be this happy? He was an easy man.

It was my turn now. I picked up the two items I had come here for.

[You have obtained the 'Mask of Tutankhamun' (Replica).]

[You have obtained 'Sangpyeong Tongbo'.]

Of course, this wasn't what I came here for. It was what came after this.

[Do you want to combine the two times?]

"Yes."

[Crafting in process.]

[You have crafted the 'Sky Splitting Sword'.]

[You are the first to have crafted a legendary grade sword!]

[You have obtained the 'Sky Splitting Sword' (S-grade).]

Park Hyungseok wasn't aware of the dumbfounded expression he had on his face. It was an expected reaction. This was an item even the protagonist wasn't aware of. It was by sheer luck that I found this item in the game. One of the ten legendary swords in the whole game... I couldn't believe I had acquired it that easily.

My eyes wandered around the room and I noticed a broken compartment. That guy had already taken it, huh? It was regrettable that I wasn't able to get the Jade cutter but I had gotten an even better weapon.

"Haneul-ssi, aren't you going to get the map?"

Ah, I had forgotten about that map. To me, the map wasn't necessary. I had all the information about the game memorized. Of course, that didn't mean I would leave it as it is.

"Hyungseok-ssi, do you have a lighter?"

"Eh? Yes. Here."

My next actions made Park Hyungseok scream with surprise.

"H-Haneul-ssi! Why did you do that?!"

"Hyungseok-ssi, do you trust me?"

"...I do."

"Then please continue to do that."

Now wasn't the time to tell him the reason behind my actions. Park Hyungseok was a kind hearted soul. The polar opposite of what I was. If I told him the reasons for my action, I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves my party.

Boom—! A large explosion disrupted our conversation and a weird feeling crept into my heart.

"Hyungseok-ssi, we have to hurry!"

I dashed down the stairs with all my strength. Shit, Lee Hanho and Yoo Mia were still there, and none of their skills could cause such an explosion... It couldn't be.

As I thought up of the worst case scenario the pressure alluded by a large presence sent fear down my spine.

I lightly laughed as I saw the back of that presence. Dressed in an oversized black coat with ragged hair while holding a mystified sword. The emerald like sword that shone like the Sun in the dull hall.

"Dammit..."

It was the damned Protagonist.
