Prologue

Arial's POV.

It is so painful, but I kept quiet and didn't say a word, I'm just waiting for him to go away and hook up with the pack slut Jessica.

When he finally stops looking at me and turns around to walk out of there I run as fast as I can back to my room and break down in tears.

I have waited in 18 long years to get a sweet and loving mate, and when I finally meet him I can't believe my ears, he rejected me. I thought your mate was supposed to love you, but apparently that isn't always the case. I couldn't get a much worse life I think to myself.

"Don't say that, stay strong Arial. If you can't do this anymore, we can always try running?" Shapira suggested.

"No, we won't run unless it's the only way out, the chance of him capturing us is too big, and if he captures us we will just be locked up and probably abused," I said to Shapira.

"Fine, we'll do it your way, but if he ever harms you physically in any way, I'll get us out of here faster than you can say 'shift'." I think that sounds reasonable enough coming from Shapira.

"Okay," was my only answer before I toned Shapira out.

Ares' POV.

My beta Caellum and my gamma Marco came into my office on my request.

"Hi, we need to get more patrol around the boarders, more and more rouges are slipping onto our territory and we can't have that, it needs to stop," I said to them.

"Yes we know, but we don't have many more men available to guard the boarders, there's already many wolves around the border," said Marco.

Caellum looks deep in thought, then suddenly he says, "could it be possible to take some guards from the west side of the territory and move them around to other places? Cause as it is now the rouges get in from north, south and east but not west."

"We could try that, I don't think it's going to work, but it's worth a try," I said. "Maybe we should go out scouting the border ourselves again sometime soon, to see if your plan will work Caellum," I added.
