Chapter One: Vol'garoth and Samariel

A human walked out of a train car. He had black hair and green eyes. He wore black jeans and a grey, almost black, hoodie and black shoes. Another human walked out beside him. She had blond hair and ice blue eyes. She wore a white lacey top that showed her shoulders and showed her stomach. She wore light blue high waist ankle skinny jeans and white high heel ankle boots and a small light brown shoulder bag.

The female human had such beauty that others looked at her in 'awe'. She turned and smiled at anyone she saw. The male human was a decent distance behind her. "Sama... can't you dial it down a bit?" he sighed.

The one called Sama, slowed down a bit to be next to him. "Vol'gar...You know I can't, I am an angel after all. Besides, I will always have this aura around me."

"That's not what I..." Vol'garoth managed to say before he sighed. "Nevermind..." He said as he turned away from her. His cheeks was as red as a cherry, which Samariel was oblivious of. 'What is wrong with me? This feeling I have when I look at her...I don't like it!' he thought to himself.

Samariel looked over at Vol'garoth. "Hey, at least we're almost home." She said with a bright and cheerful smile.

At the sight of Samariel's smile, Vol'garoth turned and hid his reddened cheeks with his hand. What WAS up with him? Who knows!

Samariel looked over at Vol'garoth. "Are you not feeling well?" She asked as she stopped him in his tracks and put a hand on his forehead. "You're burning up!" She said with concern.

Vol'garoth's cheeks reddened every second Samariel touched him. "I'm fine!" He said as he turned and continued to walk.

Once they reached their destination, Vol'garoth rushed to his room and locked the door. His back was against the door as he slid down and sat. He looked up in confusion and sighed when his reddened cheeks hadn't subsided. "It's been a year since I agreed to this assignment. From the beginning I knew she was different and yet I tried so hard to hate her...how long..." He stopped and remembered the first day they met.

A Year Before

Vol'garoth sighed as Ishnid led him to a car that would take him to a place that connects to the human world.

"Sighing like that, I'd think you are regretting that you agreed with this assignment." Ishnid chuckled.

Vol'garoth looked at Ishnid but didn't say a word. He thought about what he was going to do once in the human world.

They finally got to the car and Ishnid looked at Vol'garoth. "You know, not all angels are bad. You know it's true when a Daemon says it!" He said the last part in a joking manner.

Vol'garoth sighed and shook his head, ignoring Ishnid. He got in the back of the car but before he had the chance to close the door, Ishnid said something. "Gar, you should keep an open mind. I meant what I said, Not all angels are bad. I know from experience." With that, Ishnid closed the door and the car started moving. Vol'garoth pondered whether to believe Ishnid or to ignore him. As he pondered, he quickly got to his destination. He quickly went to the right place to get to the human world.

Vol'garoth decided to ignore but also somewhat believe Ishnid. He gave it a shot. Once in the human world, a beautiful blond haired girl with ice blue eyes, walked up to him. She smiled, not only with her thin lips, but with her almond shaped eyes as well.

Vol'garoth looked at her, disgust almost plain on his face. He hid the disgust and looked her up and down. "You must be that angel." He said with an uninterested tone.

Ignoring his attitude, she continued to smile. "Yes I am! My name is Samariel!" She said in an excited tone.

Vol'garoth continued to look at her. "I think I'm just gonna call you Sama." He plainly told her. "And the names Vol'garoth."

Samariel put a hand on her chin as she thought for a minute. "Then, I'll call you, Vol'gar. Anyway, we should head to where we are going to stay until the assignment is done!" She said excitedly as she grabbed his hand and headed to the train station.

Vol'garoth's heart skipped a beat as she held his hand. Samariel let go once they were on the train. "I should fill you in since no one is around us." She said as she smiled up at him. "Michael and Lucifer, even though they hate each other, made a deal. They agreed to send us, their most trusted soldiers, to determine where the Low ranked Daemons are coming from here in the human world. As we do that, we have to find who or what is letting them out and punish them." She said with a determined tone. She turned and looked up at him. "The thing is, as we do our assignment, we will be acting as collage students."

Vol'garoth looked down at her. "I have to act like a human?" He questioned, scrunching his nose at the thought.

Samariel nodded. "My human name is Duma Kitoma. You will be acting as my childhood friend, Himiko Sagara. When we address each other, when in front of humans, you should call me Kito or Toma, you can pick. I will address you as Sa-niisan."

Vol'garoth looked at her confused. "Sa-niisan? What's that mean?" He asked.

Samariel giggled. "It's a term Japanese people use. Niisan is what a younger sibling would call her big brother. Sa is just your aliases first names first two letters." She explained.

"Oh..." Vol'garoth said with an embarrassed tone.

"We are heading to school. We will be in similar classes. You will be on a sports team. I will be a cheerleader." Samariel said.
