Chapter 6

The days passed and Lhawang always tried to stay away from Kezang. She was still completely in love with Kuenga, she always thought about the last thing he said. After almost a month, Kuenga started to date someone from work. He wasn't really in love with her but he just wanted to forget about Lhawang.

After almost dating for a month, Kuenga broke up with her. He said that it wasn't working out. All of his friends insisted him to date because all of them were dating and they felt like they were leaving him behind. "I seriously don't want to date anyone." Kuenga yelled at Maal. "Well I guess it's high time that you do," Puku taped his shoulder and then added "Lhawang would have moved on." Kuenga smirked and said nothing.

Faith wasn't really helpful in keeping them apart, they met again at a party. Kuenga and his friends planned on going to Viva city but in the last minute, they went to Ace. And Lhawang was there too, she was with some of her friends and she was drinking. So Kuenga walked up to her and talked with her again. "Are you following me?" he giggled. Lhawang laughed and said "I am." Sarcastically.

And then Kuenga asked her for a dance and they went to the dance floor and after a while Lhawang stared at him blank and he kissed her. They kissed for a long time and after a while, "Let's go for a drive," Maal interrupted them. Kuenga laughed and said "Sure," and asked Lhawang if she wanted to join them. She agreed.

Lhawang's friends also agreed to go with them. Lhawang got in Kuenga's car and she told her friends that they could drive her car. Kuenga bought some drinks and they headed to Buddha point. After reaching there, they drank for a while and he asked Lhawang if she wanted to go for a walk and she agreed.

They walked and occasionally smiled at each other and shared the drink. "Remember we used to watch the stars?" Kuenga stared into her eyes. "How can I ever forget," she smiled at him.

"So, did you forgive?" he asked. She didn't answer that and she just took the bottle from his hand and took a sip of the drink and looked into the sky. "The stars are out in full." Kuenga also stared in the sky and smiled.

"You didn't move on?" she asked. He shook his head and said "how can I? When I am completely in love with you." She smiled and added "You are not." He took her hands in his and said "believe it or not, I still love you." He moved closer to her and hugged her and said "Lha? Won't you give me another chance?" She hugged him back tighter and said "stop, otherwise I will say yes and I am not ready. He smiled and then after a while he said "I won't push you."

They headed back to their friends and they acted like nothing happened. They drank and tried to enjoy with their friends. The music from the car was loud and everybody enjoyed. They got back in their cars and drove to places and shouted from the car, when it was almost 3 in the morning, they headed back home and Lhawang agreed for the last time that she would spend a night with him.

They went back to his place and all his friends slept. He took her to his room and they sat on the bed for a while. He showed her the photographs of them and she was shocked that he still had her photographs. She kissed him and said "I want you inside me again." He raised his eyebrows and asked her "are you sure?" she nodded her head.

He leaned against her and kissed her neck. She started to unbutton his collar shirt and kissed his chest and necks. "Tell me I'm the only one," he took his breath heavily. "You are the only one," she moaned. When they finally joined as one, she moaned and watched him as he moved above her and then she decided to get on top of him. She gently moved above him and gradually moaned. He watched her and gently moved his hands through her breasts and then belly. "Are you close?" he asked. She moaned and said "yes." When they were done, she cuddled against him and slept.

Later that afternoon, she made a lemonade for Kuenga and one for herself. When he finally woke up, he yawned and said "did you sleep well?" she nodded a yes. And then she said "I got to go." Kuenga held her hand and asked "stay for a while?" she shook her head and said "no matter how things change, we can never be together." He stared at her in disbelief.

She wished him goodbye and gave him a last kiss and she took her phone and stared at him for the last time and hugged him. He hugged her tight, he wasn't letting her go but she pushed him and said "bye."

After a while, Puku came to the kitchen and Kuenga offered her a coffee. "So, you guys together now?" she asked. Kuenga shook his head. "No? I thought you guys were together now." "No, it's complicated." Kuenga responded and Puku hugged him and said "it's okay bro." Kuenga smiled at her.

Now they were in their own worlds and neither of them called each other since the last day. Lhawang was always at the hospital, annoyed by Kezang because he looked at her in the most amused way, like he wants to say "I am totally into you." After everything that happened to her, she never wanted to be with anyone else. Kuenga always tried to keep himself distracted in the work so that he can forget about Lhawang. He never wanted to be with someone until it was her.

Maybe someday, they will forget each other's faces and they may refuse to even recall each other's names. They will never, though, erase the memories they had together. Their passion, maybe, was simply too sweet to be real. They understood that over the last few months, they have grown apart and the gap that they had was like a bridge between them.

They may meet other people but they will never get the true love that they had given each other. They had many beautiful memories together but they knew it was high time that they changed their paths forever. The time they had together was gone and they both knew it wouldn't come back, maybe never.

"It's high time that you date." Pema said. "Who you have in mind?" Lhawang giggled. "Who else, Kezang." Pema smiled at her and held Lhawang's hands. "No, I don't want to date." Lhawang laughed again. Lhawang finally agreed to go out for a dinner with Kezang.

They went to a restaurant on a Friday night. At the restaurant they ordered their meals. They chatted for a while and when their meals were ready, they started to eat and suddenly she saw Kuenga walking up to the restaurant with his friends and she quickly hided her face behind her bag and thought to herself "he always looks stunning." When she almost finished her meal, she went out and waited for Kezang.

She covered her face with a bandana and waited outside and stared at Kuenga. Kuenga felt his heart pounding abnormally and quickly looked outside but there was no one. Lhawang waited impatiently for Kezang and when he finally came outside she said she wanted to leave, Kezang pleaded her to stay but she left.

She went home, went to her bedroom and she lied down in her bed. Tears rolled down to her cheeks and she went through her photo album and she found pictures of Kuenga and pictures of them together. She cried as the memories of them came flashing back to her in a second. She thought she forgot about him but she was only falling for him more. She cried holding his picture for dear life and she promised herself that she would never cry for him again.

She went to the bathroom and in the shower she cried for almost an hour. She wished he never existed or that they never fell for each other. The next morning she kept herself distracted in her works so that she would never have a chance to think about him. However she saw Kuenga again, he had an appointment. He saw her and wanted to talk with her but he knew everything was over and nothing is going to change.
