"What's wrong?" Luke follows me up the stairs, and I don't stop him. We don't have long before the dinner, but there's no way I can wait until everything settles down to talk to my parents. "You look pissed."
He had no idea. The packhouse seemed strangely serene after all the chaos of the day. Everyone seemed in a good mood, and a small part of me resents them for it. Not because I don't want my pack to be happy, but because I couldn't share it yet. That makes me an insensitive bastard, but I'm tired and honestly overwhelmed by all of it. So yeah, I'm pissed.
