Restraining Order (108)

The weekend was a huge success for everyone. Ariel then started the process of hiring staff so they could start the new community project.

Marcus had given her a couple of offices in his building to start up the planning.

Kimberly was put in charge of the fundraising. She had a lot of good ideas.

Ariel sat at her desk looking at the blue prints jotting down notes when a tall grey haired man barged into the room.

"May I help you?" Ariel asked sitting her pen down.

"I don't know how you did it but you will not get away with this." He yelled.

"Sir, Please explain what you think I did." She said pulling her phone quietly out of her pocket and sending a sos to Marcus and George.

"That land belongs to my family. I don't know how you convinced my son to give it to you and convinced my daughter-in-law to help you but it won't work." He slapped a paper on her desk and she picked it up.

She read over it. It was a order to stop the project until a court date could be set. The second page said she was being sued for stealing the land in the amount of 2 billion dollars.

"I see. Mr?"

"No you don't see. I will see you in jail before all this is over."

She laughed, "One thing you don't know is that I don't own the land, the project, or the rights to anything you are claiming. I work for Marcus McKenna and George Hinderaker. I was hired to run this project for them as a way for them to give back to the city they love. Suing me will have outcome but to make you look stupid."

"You think your so smart. The head of the company is in your name, not my sons. The land that belongs to our family is now in your name not ours."

"That's because they are gifts to the city but for us to still have a say the lawyers said to set it up this way. Besides dad, grandfather left me the land to do as I wish with it." Marcus said walking into the room followed by Heny.

The man turned and stared at Marcus.

"The land is part of your inheritance and apart of the family wealth. It takes the family to make plans for this land and as head of the family now that decision is mine."

Marcus lets out a little laugh, "That funny, My property is in your hands. Father please leave this office right now and we will see you in court."

The man threw another paper at Ariel and turned and left. This time it was a personal restraining order saying she could not be within a hundred yard of the McKenna family. Every one was listed including Marcus. Her face went pale when two officers walked in to excort her out.

"Ariel go home and I'll take care of all this. I'll stay with Heny till we fix this." Marcus said reading the papers on her desk.

"Ok" The officers explained that she could no longer come anywhere near the McKenna family and that a court date is set next week to dispute this.

They asked if she understood and when she said yes they put her in a cab and let her leave.

She stared out the window and watched the cars go by. When they got to the gate she went to wave but the guard came over.

"Sorry Miss but we have orders to not let you enter any more."

"No, Marcus said I could stay at the house and he would stay with his friend."

"Miss we have court orders saying you can't be on the property anymore." He then showed her the restraining order he had.

She pulled out her phone to call Marcus but she got no answer so she called Heny.

"I can't go home. What do I do now?"

"You can stay with me then. Tell the drive to take you to my bungalow. You know were the key is kept so go in. I'll be there soon. Hang in there Mermaid we will fix all of this soon."

She cried all the way to the seaside where the bungalow was located. She found the key and slumped on the couch. She started to look at her life and everything that was going on. She cried for about an hour and before she knew it Andrew had his arms wrapped around her and she started crying on his shoulder even harder.

"Ariel, are you alright now?" He asked after about thrity minutes of more crying.

"Why me?" She looked up.

"I don't know. Georgie asked me to come over and keep you company. He did not give me any detail but that you could not go home because of a restraining order."

"His father won't let me near any of them or their property. He thinks I tricked Marcus into giving me the club house. I didn't."

He walked over to the kitchen and put a kettle of water on. "I know, I help him prepaid the documents. I work for his lawyer. He is the best and they will fix all this. I have never seen Marcus so happy."

"I really love him but I'm not sure I can survive this with out him. What do I do?"

"Trust us. We will be your support." The tea kettle whistled and he went to make the tea when Nelson came in.

"Ariel are you all right. I came as soon as I found out. Harper and I are here for you." He pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you."

Andrew walked over and handed her a mug of tea. "You want some too?"

"Thanks" He said letting Ariel go to drink her tea.

"Harper and Tubby will be here soon they get off shift in a few hours. Heny said to wait here for good news with Ariel."

She smiled, "It's nice to have so many brothers taking care of me and Marcus."

"That's what brothers do." Nelson smiled.
