Hiny came out of the OR and had a smile on his face. "All done, Teacher is giving last minute instruction to Nurse Cora and will be out to talk to you."

It did not take long to see Doctor Kim. "She is a strong girl. Everything looks good. She will be in recovery for a few hours before we will try to wake her up. We won't let her wake up for long, we just need to check a few vitals. Then we will place her in a coma status for a few more days to let her heal better. After that we will wake her and start therapy treatments to strengthen her lungs more." He said, "Any questions?"

"When can I see her?" Marcus asked.

"When she is sent back to her room. Not before. Go get some rest now all of you,p there is nothing you can do now." Doctor Kim then walked off.

"I'm going to go home to Lily. She has school tomorrow so I'll come once she leaves." Harrison said.

"Who am I taking home right now?" Tubby said.

"Take JJ and Heather home. I'll stay with Marcus tonight." Harper said.

After everyone left Harper took Marcus back to Ariel's room and made him lay down and take something to sleep. He then laid down on the couch to get some rest himself.

He was just falling asleep when he sat straight up, he felt something was wrong.

Bob had gotten his hands on Joey Smith. His mother was a nurse at the hospital.

"Mom you have to save me." "Mrs. Smith, your son owes us a lot of money. If you want him back alive you must pay."

"How much?" she said.

"He owes a hundred thousand dollars."

"I can't get that much." she cried.

"Then you can earn his freedom."

"How, I'll do anything. He is my only child."

"Cause the death of a patient in the hospital now and your son will go free. If not he will sleep with the worms."

"I'll do it, please don't hurt him. Who is it?"

"Ariel Thomas but she maybe going by McKenna now."

"We have an Ariel Thomas that is now Ariel Jensen."

"That is her. See that she dies. As soon as she does then we will release your son. Call this number back when it's all over. If you cross us, not only will your son die a painful death we will go after you too."

Nurse Smith shook her. That brat got into trouble again. However she was still his mother and loved him very much. She had to help him.

Harper quietly left the room and called Hiny, "I have a bad feeling. Bob King is in Capital and the best time to kill the Mermaid would be now. I need to watch over her. Help me?"

"Ok come back to the OR. You'll need to gown up to go into recovery." Hiny said.

Harper hurried and met his brother. Hiny made him scrub up and dress up to enter her room. He was hot but sat back and kept an eye out.

Nurses came in and he checked her id and face. He then looked at the paper work in there hand. They were to do vitals every thirty minutes till 2am. Dr. Kim would be back to wake her up.

When Nurse Smith came in, he checked her over. But when she pulled out a syringe he asked, "What are you doing?"

He could see she was getting nervous. "This is just a shot of antibiotic to keep infection from starting. It is normal."

"I don't think so. She is to have nothing till the Doctor says so." he said making her back away from Ariel.

"Doctor Kim is the one who ordered it. I'm just doing my job." She said.

He opened his phone and dialed, "I've got her, send in your men."

Her eyes went wide and she rush to put the syringe in Ariel. He caught her and had her drop it. Hiny and two soldier rushed and and dragged the Nurse away. "She was trying to give this to Ariel?"

Hiny took the syringe and walked out. After the lab took a look it was strong heparin. With Ariel's body right now this would of made her bleed to death.

He was glad his brother had stopped her.

The two soldiers took Nurse Smith to a room. JJ and Tubby were waiting.

"Seams we will never get any sleep." Tubby said.

"Who do we have here?" JJ asked.

She kept her mouth shut.

He pulled her badge off. "Nurse Betty Smith. 15 years of service. Guess you must be tired of living."

"Ok we will call the police and send you to prison for attempted murder. You can say good by to any of your family." JJ said

"It says in this file she has a son. He relies on her for support. To bad he will now have to take care of himself now. Looks like he gets into trouble for grambling." Tubby said looking at his computer.

Her eyes went big. "Please, my son needs me."

"Tell us why you were going to kill the girl and we may help you."

"They have my son. He owes a lot of money and they said they would not hurt him if I did this. He is my only child."

"How would you let them know you did it?" JJ asked.

"I was to call a number." She said.

"Where is your phone?"

"In my pocket."

JJ untied her hands. "Call them and tell them it is done. Don't tip them off and place it on speaker phone."

She did as she was told.

"Is it done?" A man asked.

"Yes, she is dead. Can you let my son go now?"

"He will be let go when we see proof. Remember, if you double cross us, not only will your son die but we will come after you."

"How do I prove it." She was crying now.

"You don't need to we will verify ourselves." He the hung up.

Ariel was moved to a private area of the hospital only used for special VIPs. Then News of her death was released to the papers and the media. This should help keep her safe. The only ones that know that she is alive is Doctor Kim, Hiny, Harper, and Tubby. They were not even going to let Richie know about this to keep this girl alive.
