Joshua Smith was an ex military Police officer and now worked in the private sector. He took a plane to Harborview and went straight to the hospital.

Marcus had been released and sat in the room with Harrison.

Joshua got all the info they both knew and left to get to work.

He hacked into the 911 center and found the licences number that had been reported. He then Hacked into the DMV and found out it was a car registered to the city of Harborview.

Next he got the video of who came into her building. He seen the delivery guy. Harborview flower shop.

He waited till time to close. He has seen the police come and go. Soon it was 8 o'clock and he slipped in.

"Lock the doors" he ordered.

"There no cash we only take card payments for flowers." the guy said.

"I want to look at all your sales today. If you do not cooperate I can make you disappear."

"There is the list there. The police already made a copy."

Joshua looked through the book. The flowers from the video were not there. Then he looked over and seen a photo book of flowers. He picked it up. He then found that the flowers with time made were in this book. 1:35 pm they were delivered at 2 pm. He looked again at the credit log. Nothing there.

"Who Ordered these flowers?"

"I don't know." he was sweating.

"If no one ordered and paid for these then I assume you sent them to Miss Ariel. That means you are the person responsible for her condition now. This makes my job easier. Will anyone miss you when your six feet under?" Joshua said.

"It wasn't me. A lady came in and asked for them. She then took them and did something to the stems before wrapping them back up and handing me a card to put with them. She said they have to be delivered right away and paid me $200 dollars to kept it off the books."

"The ladies name?" Joshua asked.

"Virginia King she is the daughter of the mayor. She is someone you never want to cross." he said.

"You did well. Now tell no one and keep her secret."

With that done he headed back to the hospital.

Ariel still had not woken up. Marcus was beside himself. Harrison just sat there not saying a word when Joshua came to report.

"When you get a chance pick her up. At the Aquarium park there is building in the back not being used. Here is a card for that gate. Take her there and give Harrison a call and we will come over." Marcus said.

He could not believe that Virginia was behind all this.

Marcus was not leaving Ariel's side. As his brother slept in a chair he stood there playing with her hair.

"Hey Mermaid, time to wake up. I have something I need to tell you. Since you walked into my life I have felt happiness like I have never felt before. I need you as my friend and hopefully one day you will be more. I am a patient man and can wait for you. Please wake up." He then kissed her cheek.

Ariel could hear someone calling her. She felt the warmth of someone who cared.

"Ariel, you need to wake up. You still have things to do and trials to go through. Once all this is done you will find out which one is your true love. So wake up." The voice was of a woman she has heard this voice before... Kimberly McKenna.

She blinked and her hand went to the breathing tube.

"No don't touch, I'll call the doctor. Harry, wake up and get the Doctor in here." Marcus yelled

"Don't call me Harry, what's wrong?" he said opening his eyes.

"She's awake. Get the doctor."

The doctor came in and took the tube out.

She was a little horse when she tried to speak,"What.. hap...pend."

"It was the flowers, they were drugged." Marcus said.

She pointed at him.

"No, I did not send them. Virginia sent them to trick you."

She looked puzzled.

"I am not sure yet. But we will find out."

She then looked over and pointed at Harrison.

"I called Harry because they thought I harmed you. I wanted to make sure you were safe." Marcus said.

"Don't call me Harry. Ariel how do you feel." Harrison said.

"Hurt." she pointed to her throat.

"The tube irritated it. It will be fine soon." Marcus said.

She made a writing motion and Marcus went to the nurses station to get a pad and pen.

How long was I out?

"Two days" Marcus said.

Does Lily know?

"No she thinks I'm on a business trip." Harrison replied.

When can I leave?

"I don't know. The drug you were exposed to is really bad. They will need to run test to see if you are all right." Marcus said.

You will stay with me?

"Yes, I won't leave you." Marcus then took her hand. "Ariel I will always be here for you."

Harrison stared at his brother. He had to find a away to get her to trust him if he was to win her heart. She was destined to be with him and Lily. He could not let his brother have her.

They both stayed another night with her then Harrison got the call from Joshua that the bird was in the cage.

"Marcus, we need to go to this meeting?" Harrison said.

"What meeting?" He was not thinking right now, he just wanted to be with Ariel.

"It's about the Bird, it is in the cage now. We need to see why it tried eat the fish."

It then hit him what Harrison was talking about.

"Ariel, will you be alright for a little while on your own. This should not take long to handle."

"Yes, but hurry back. I hate being alone in the hospital." She said.

She started to remember all the time she spent in the hospital alone. The only visitors were the nuns and priest that would stop by but they never stayed long.

She hated the smell of the antiseptic and the beeping sounds of the machines. She had to close her eyes and think of what made her feel safe and that was Marcus.

He had been with her this whole time. She could even remember the sound of his voice before she woke up. She knew that Harrison had also been there but she still felt a little panic being near him. The scene at the Park played in her mind. Then the warning from her dream. She did not want to be Kimberly she wanted to be Ariel.
