Another flare up (34)

Ariel tried many times to get on the phone to Harrison with no luck. The strange thing her call would not even go to voice mail. Even if he rejected it, it should sent the call directly to voice mail.

She then used Harpers phone to call him.

"What's wrong with Ariel?" She heard as soon as the call connected.

"She is upset you blocked my calls." She said.

"Ariel, I have not blocked your call. I've not recieved any."

"I call yesterday at about four and talk to the woman you had just screwed. You were in the shower. I asked her to have you call me. I tried six time yesterday after that. The only reason a call will not go to voice mail is that it's blocked. I tried again twice before using Harpers phone."

"Are you jealous?" He smiled at the though she really cared about him.

"Fu** off, tell Lily I am sorry something came up and won't be able to come see her Saturday. Tell her not to call me I'll call her next week when I am free." She hung up on him.

He then looked at his phone and pulled up the blocked numbers. Only two numbers where there Sarah Taylor and My Mermaid. How did her number get there. He moved it back to his contacts and when he did the missed calls appeared.

He then understood. Ariel said that the woman on the phone said he was in the shower so Carrie must of answered his phone then blocked the number. She would pay for this.

He dialed her number.

"Can you have dinner with me tonight?" he asked.

"Yes, I would love to. Where?" She asked.

"How about 'B Pесторане' the Russian restaurant?" He said.

"Yes, I'll head home a little early to change you can pick me up at 6." She was very happy.

"Ok I'll set the reservation for 6:30." When he hung up he call the restaurant and booked a private room.

He left a little early and stopped by and got an engagement ring. Nothing to fancy. He then picked Carrie up. She was dressed in a red gown that hugged her well.

"You look pretty but you did not have to dress up this much. I got us a private room."

She smiled, "I wanted to look nice for our first date."

He cringed and pretended her did not hear her.

He got out and the Valet opened her door. She had wanted him to open her door but seen him heading inside so she followed.

He had already ordered a head of time and the food was on the table. She stood there waiting for him to pull out her chair but when he took a seat she went ahead and sat down on her own.

"This looks so good. I am so glad you called me." She said.

"I wanted to ask you something very important." He pulled out the little black box and her face was a glow. He was going to propose he had no idea he felt like that about her.

"What do you think of this ring?" He opened the box.

"It's beautiful and my answer is yes."

"Yes?" He made sure to sound extra puzzled. "I did not even tell you who it is for."

Now was her turn to be puzzled. "Are you not asking me to marry you?"

"Go* no, I am going to ask my Mermaid to marry me. Why would I ask you, your just my employee." He said.

"I thought we were friends too. Good friends, I've help out with Lily many times." She said.

"Yes you have and I have paid you each time. You are my Employee." He said.

"What does she have that I don't?" She asked.

"One she does not mess with my phone. Because you blocked her number tonight I have to break my daughter heart because she won't be able to see Ariel this weekend. Ariel was upset that I had blocked her number and she could not get ahold of me. Two my daughter loves her very much. She thinks of you as a sitter. Three Ariel makes my heart beat you do not."

"It could if you just give me a chance." She pleaded.

"Carrie you are an asset to the Aquarium. I would hate to lose you but if you keep this up I will have to let you go. Do you understand?"

"If she says no to you proposal will you at least consider dating me. I am a lot better then Sarah was."

"I will not let her say no. I will keep trying till she says yes." He said standing up and placing $50 on the table. "Take a cab home."

When he got home he used Lily's phone to call her but as promised she did not answer. He broke down and called his brother.

"Hey, can you do Lily a favor?" He asked.

"Sure what is it?" Marcus said.

"Call Ariel and ask her to call Lily right away. It's really important." He said.

"Sure, what's wrong?"

"Lily was going to see Ariel this weekend but because Carrie Nelson blocked her on my phone she got upset and canceled on Lily. Lily should not be punished for Ariel being mad at me."

"Ok, I'll call her." Marcus hung up and sent a text.

[Can you call me, important.]M

It was not long before his phone was ringing.

"What's up?" She said.

"Can you call Lily. Harrison said she is upset." he said. He then heard the sounds of beeping.

"Marcus, I can't right now. I had a flare up and I am in the ER right now."

"Why wasn't I told?" He said.

"I thought that was why you texted instead of calling me."

"Where is Harper?"

"On the phone with Dr. Hinderaker." she said.

"How are you feeling?"

"My chest hurts. I will need to be her for a few days. That is why I can't see Lily. That is also why I can't talk to her on the phone. I'm afraid she will find out I'm back in the hospital."

"I see I'll talk to her then. Did you tell Harrison about the attack?" He asked.

"No, he blocked my number besides the only one I am worried about is Lily. He has a new girlfriend anyways."

"Can I come see you?" He asked.

"Please don't, I am still trying to figure this all out. Can I call you later the ER doctor is here."

"Ok, keep me updated."
