Elvish ears

***short chapter***

sir Alistair and Dane put up a tent for me and Ella after the protection barrier was erected .

"uhh sir Alistair can find an extra blanket for Ella" it was an excuse to be alone with Dane I knew Ella wouldn't listen in anyway she was trust worthy.

"sppps.... Dane?" I whisper threw the tent fabric to him I could see his shadow outline cast from the fire.

"yes Ellie how can I help you" I could here him walking up to better hear me.

"how did you make the barrier" I was very curious because as far as I know humans can't use magick.

"I'm part elf " he whispered, I was very surprised I've never met an elf but that would explain him being fluent in elvish.

"oh I see that's very interesting information, but I'm confused your ears look normal?"I couldn't help myself I was very curious.

but he stopped talking so pressed my ear to the tent wall listening for him.

"Ellie behind you"

"ah!! Dane don't sneak up on me like that" I had reached for my sword at my waist due to reflex.

Dane was laughing at me my face got fair red I could feel the heat rising, he then bent forward he was much taller then me so I felt like he towered over me, he was very close to my face he was looking into my eyes intensely I thought he would peck my lips with a kiss.

but he pulled his hair back from his ears that's when I saw the point I have no idea how I never noticed before but I found them to be lovely.

I don't know when but my hand touched his ear gently.

Dane let out a small gasp and grabbed my wrist in midair, I fear I've upset him, he was breathing heavily almost panting like a dog.

"d...Dane are you okay" I asked feeling very confined suddenly.

"little mouse if you don't want me to bed you right this minute I suggest you not do that" growled dane

he sounds like he is trying very hard to control himself so I step back from him, Dane let my hand go and turned from me.

"wait you don't have to go!" I quickly run to his side and grab hold of his arms, he turns to glare at me.

I let go of him "I mean um..I didn't mean to offend you I'm sorry" I apologized.

I could feel my cheeks burning from embarrassment.

Dane let out a deep breath and shook his head "it's not that I'm offended I want you and I'm trying to behave so please just let me go for now Ellie" his softened he leaned down and peck my cheek and left my tent quickly.

it felt like sleep would never take me I tried closing my eyes I held them shut and after what felt like hours sleep consumed me.

"Ellie"someone called my name and I sat up straight I was compelled to follow the voice.

"this way love" the whisper soft voice continued to call me I walked after it right out of my tent and into the surrounding woods past the protection of the barrier.
