First Time Cultivating (3)

"What the hell?" Ariel asked with widened eyes. She had made sure to convince Aiden with her best efforts so he could cultivate his soul and body at the same time.

This was because she knew the intense benefits cultivating both would bring. Just so Aiden would cultivate both, she had gone out of her way to explain everything to him. At first, Aiden wanted to cultivate his soul only.

However, since she wanted him to cultivate both, she tried to convince him. After nearly explaining everything she knew about the cultivation and even telling him some secrets with regard to his power source, he decided to cultivate his body. The worst of the three choices!

At least cultivating the soul was better. By cultivating his body, she would only get miniscule amount of benefits. The same went for Aiden too. He wouldn't gain much cultivating his body too.

"I am cultivating my body!" Aiden said decisively as if he wouldn't change his mind no matter the circumstances!

"But why?" Ariel asked in annoyance. If not for the fact that Aiden was her master and she couldn't do anything to him, she would have slapped him to death by now.

Aiden on the other hand was greatly amused by Ariel's behaviour. Nevertheless, he still kept a straight and stern face, not wanting his little act to be discovered.

Yes, he was just playing around. He had no intentions about cultivating only the body. That wasn't his plan.

Instead, he planned on cultivating both. After all, he had checked through the 'link' in order to check if something was wrong or is she was lying, but everything was true.

Moreover, just from what Ariel told him, he could tell that this deal would only bring sheer benefits.

As for why he decided to prank her, it was because he wanted to get back at her for trying to deceive him.

"Nothing, I just want to!" Aiden said with a shrug.

Ariel frowned. Seeing her delicate face frown, Aiden suddenly had the urge to apologise but he kept his face straight and stern.

"Okay," Ariel nodded after a while, "Don't regret this later!"

"I won't because I am going to cultivate both!" Aiden said with a smile.

"What did you say?" Ariel asked in surprise. However, after a second, her eyes widened realising that Aiden was just kidding with her.

"You!"

Ariel frowned yet again. She hated been tricked the most. It made feel like a fool.

Of course, she liked doing it to others though. She didn't abide by he rule, 'don't do to others what you don't want to be done to you'.

"Sigh... okay. let's get to it," Ariel said before walking towards Aiden. As for Aiden he just stood there waiting to see what she would do.

Ariel pointed her finger on his forehead and a strand of White mist flew into his head.

At that moment, Aiden immediately felt his mind overflow with new information. He felt a searing pain slither into his mind. It made him extremely frustrated and confused for a second before vanishing all of a sudden.

Letting out a gust of warm air, Aiden checked what appeared in his mind. When he did though, his mouth went agape in shock as he looked at Ariel.

"Are they the techbiques?" Aiden asked.

"Of course. You have to train your body first. This is because, the soul can't stay in a weak body. If you train your soul first, your soul would become stronger than your body and it means you can't even enter your body any more!" Ariel explained.

"I see," Aiden said as he tried to recall the techniques again. The moment he did this two titles entered his mind.

'Divine Lightning Body Technique' and 'Divine Lightning Soul Technique' were the names of the technique.

With a swift sigh, Aiden retrieve the first technique planing to read it. He had decided to leave the soul technique for now.

Reading contents of the first book, 'Divine Lightning Body Technique', Aiden frowned. He turned to Ariel and said,

"I can't cultivate my body here so I should return to my body,"

That was the first sentence in the technique.

'The cultivation of the body is always done in the physically, using the natural mana of the universe to clean ones body of impurities to make them stronger,' it said. From this alone, Aiden knew that he had to return to his body. After all , his soul wasn't physical. It felt more like an ethereal entity instead.

"Yes if you want to return then you can—" Ariel was about to explain the method to get back when Aiden interrupted.

"Don't worry. I know how to!" Aiden said as he imagined himself in his body. When he did though, he vanished from his spirit space immediately.

"Hmph, " Ariel snorted realising that her usual prank didn't work for the second time.

Aiden on the other hand appeared in his room again. This time, he directly appeared in his body and didn't undergo any motion if falling.

'I see. It was a prank after all' Aiden thought with a sneer on his face.

Just like he guessed, Ariel was trying to prank him with the method she thought him. There was a very simple way to go and return from his spirit space. He just had to imagine his soul back in his body and he would be transported back.

He didn't need to imagine transporting back like falling or anything. Ariel tricked him two times already and it worked.

If she thought it would work on him again then she was greatly mistaken. There was no way that would happen.

"Let's get back to this!" Aiden thought as he reread the Technique' introduction again. He couldn't help but smile. He was really going to start cultivating. Something that was deemed to be absolutely impossible in his previous world.

Something that was absolutely fantasy in his other world. He was going to accomplish it here. To him, it was no longer a fantasy but real!
