Duel

The horde of led came quick, slamming at the exposed group who struggled to get into cover. Not even in a good position to attack with each bullet striking the teak lounging chair. It's cushion wavered, dampened in spirits as it watched it's own stuffings be torn apart. It's fabric barely recognisable from each strike and unable to yell for help upon the roars of jet engines and gunpowder which sunk back into the grime of dirt and concrete. Staining what little remains of itself.

The place was chaos. Barely recognisable compared to before. It's grey tiles unable to hold up to the strain as cracks began to emerge under the cyborgs feet. Continuously stomping loudly with his fists, pounding the pavement as the ground rumbled. shaking the earth with the strong waves soaring beneath his feet. Splashing into the pool which splashed upon the men who were taken out one by one. Fighting Sylvie who seemed to have gone bonkers once again. Tearing apart the house with the fiery woman struggling to control her. Each attempt melted into a near inferno if it wasn't

Hanson was struggling, trying to peer his eyes into the darkness. In stormy weather like this, he could barely concentrate. Barely able to get a shot at the thugs who were constantly taken out by Ambar's drones. His purpose barely certain. Standing around foolishly at the madness he had just seen. Each kill seemingly exciting his colleagues. Slaying them with their heads rolling, infuriating the buyer's second hand men who tried everything they could to deal with them. Up above through the haze, flashing lights blared through the darkness, hardly covering the loud clash of metal which echoed through the sky. Blistering his eardrums as machine fell one by one like fallen leaves, breaking up through the air as it blows itself apart. He frowns at the carnage. Unable to take in what he was seeing. As human. they had never learnt.

"Are we just like them?"

He looks ahead, barely dodging bullets which flew above his head. Shooting through his rather marvellous hat. Each shot flying perfectly through and grazing his hat. Unsure if he should stay out. His mind in weird deep thought at the constant death he always had to see. Silently becoming a spectator. Horrified by his actions.

"What are you doing! Do something!"

Shao Lin looked at him, rather grumpy at the stagnant man and his tomfoolery as she mocked his accent, bringing him back from his listlessness and paranoia. Still awfully lost amongst the cobble with his punchable face. She wasn't having a good time either. The rain had been advantageous to her. Bringing in a giant tornado was a huge benefit. Clearing out everything in her path as Julie is cornered. Smashing head first into the mansion as glass shatter upon the dead corpses. Their blood dripping down with the waters stained in murky red. Swallowing the destruction back into the wild with each grab from the rising tides she had created. Their lifeless faces screaming back at her for the violence she had to incite, always complementing Sylvie's erratic behaviour. She glanced down. Solemnly knowing her actions aren't the best. But she could feel herself struggling. Immediately being brushed off by the flames as she is dispatched back into the ground heartlessly. Scary Beanstalk immediately on her own. Barely able to keep up with her flames and hampered by artillery in the air.

"You have a clear view! You got this!"

She yelled into her mike, advising him his next steps as she feels a burning tough to her leg. scorching her pants, attempting to enter her skin and hoping the torches don't burn off in the storm. That bloody creep.

"If you really want to shoot me, why don't you save her first?!?"

She dropped her to the ground, immediately grabbing her arm which pulled her closer to the heat source as her skinned burned. Spiking her consciousness and finally reacting all at once. Feeling the warmth yet the flames from the darkness which began to burn her soul. She scrambled, biting her lips at the a feeling she had never wished to have. A last stand against death.

"Not this time!"

A violent gush of water poured in, watching the burning woman's face slowly gasp as a large wave from the seas build up. Tearing up the concrete and glass and continuously soaring into the clouds. She did not know the extent of her powers, barely understanding what she had in her hands. But as the fiery lady gulped, she could only hope it was enough. It tore through the sky, gushing with a large torrent and painting the sky black. Electricity formed around, striking deep onto the ground. Ushering Ambar's drones away. Blinding the duo with a large wild sound of death.

"Not like this!"

She waved her hands, forming what seemed like a fiery barrier which resisted the torrents of water. Turning it into vapour instantly and not helping matters for Shao Lin, continuing to burn further into incineration. Screaming and wailing at her newfound disadvantage.

"You'll die where y-"

Julie laughed maniacally, happy to see her helpless and distant from the others in their deathbed. There was nothing more to lose from her end of the deal. After all they had discovered then. It would be plentiful to add a famous hero to her killed list. It would the best for her record. She continue to laugh at the thought. Then it stopped. It was too sudden. Barely a thought that looked up in her head.

"What?"

She looks up, spotting the large dart which hit directly at her head. It was small, barely able to be seen with a simple red feather indicating it's target. She forcefully pulls it out, noticing the laced liquid which tampered with her blood, now dripping rapidly from her head. She sighs and shook her head in disbelief. All her training for nothing?

"Aw what a bloody pillock-"

Her sights began to be hazy. Unable to comprehend her location, loosening her grip and collapsing onto the ground. Watching her flames wane and the hail of water arriving to greet her. It was a blessing that he finally done it. Shao Lin watched in relief, the flames extinguished from her body. Taking away her pain. But even then it was too late. She looks down to see her right arm completely inactive. Incinerated beyond comprehension and barely holding itself together from what little flesh and bone remained. She looked on calm, attempting to hold a strong face. But even then Hanson knew she had been startled. Hoping she could scream for her parents graze. A permanent scar now left upon her reckoning.

"Oh great..."

Hanson wandered to her, carefully caring her to safety in the large mansion seemingly filled with lavish furniture, hard to the touch with no sense of warmth. Each of them feeling like over a million dollars with their gold trims and engraved lines. On each wall laid paintings and sculptures of all sizes, seemingly stolen from museums from around the globe from their tough encasing. The marble was cold. Emotionless to the touch as blood stains the polish. Most of the room was unrecognisable. Taken over by Sylvie during her rampage as drones swarmed in to take over the mansion, beeping and squeaking upon each direction. He shakes his head, laying beside her tired by a red velvet couch, staining it almost immediately as it sagged upon contact. A lost pup who knew it didn't belong.

"I'm sorry I didn't shoot the dart at her earlier... I was trying to simply knock her out..."

She looks at him upon his response, shaking her head as she laid a palm on his shoulder. Unnerving and scared to the touch. Her skin tingling his senses of his own fear. They looked back out, spotting the hard fought battle in the air. Each flashing light a clash of metal fury as another jet goes down.

"Oh this is not good."

I wonder how big the mansion is...

You may be wondering... What happened to Shane? You will find this out soon. Was hoping to release it this week but at the moment I’m trying to fix some plot issues...
