Let's Go, Himawari!

While Eri's location was being pinpointed, you and the other UA work studies students were ordered to be on standby. And what's more, you all were forbidden from disclosing any information relating to your work studies. Eijiro, Ochaco, and Tsu... it wasn't just you and Izuku. Everyone from the meeting has been included in the plan. Everyone is in high spirits for Eri's rescue...! But on the other hand... in place of motivation, there was something weighing on your heart. When you talked to Sir Nighteye, you didn't ask him more about the prediction and your parents because you were afraid of upsetting him. Izuku didn't ask Nighteye either because the mood didn't feel right. Given the nondisclosure policy of your work studies, you can't go to either of your parents for advice. And it's certainly not something you can talk to Eijiro and the others about. Eri's situation... and everything you've learned about your mom and dad... each of them would be too heavy a burden on their own. At any rate, right now... you need to focus on Eri's rescue. You have to face this mission with everything you have. Your heart was already on edge, before anything even began.

"Hey! Hikari!"

You jumped out of your inner thoughts as your boyfriend almost yells your name. You were having lunch in the school cafeteria and sat with Katsuki, Mina, Eijiro, Kaminari and Sero at your usual table.

"Why the hell are you spacing out? You haven't touched your food."

"Oh, uh... Don't worry, I'm eating! See?" You twirled some of your Napolitan onto your fork and ate it.

"...Yagi, are you okay?" Sero asked. "You're not acting like your usual self."

"Yeah." Kaminari agrees. "You've been down ever since you started your work studies."

"Oh... you think so?!" You took another bite of your pasta.

""Did something happen?" Mina questions in concern.

You shook your head.

"N-no! Nothing happened at all! I'm fine! Really."

"Uh, h-hey! If she doesn't want to talk about it, let's not pry!" Eijiro tries to drop the subject.

The red-haired boy knows that your upset about Eri's situation, but he doesn't know that Eri isn't the only thing on your mind.

After you finished eating your lunch, Katsuki leads you out of the cafeteria and took you to a bench where no students were around. Your boyfriend sits down on the bench and takes booth of your hands in his.

"Okay, what's wrong?" 

"Hehe...W-what do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb! It's obvious that something happened during your work studies and that's why you've been acting different!"

Your fake smile dropped. It was impossible for you to hide anything from Katsuki Bakugou. You yelped when Katsuki suddenly pulls you onto his lap. You were thankful that you both were in a secluded area. Otherwise, you would've been a bit embarrassed. 

"Look, still don't have my damn provisional license, but I am your boyfriend..." Katsuki wraps his arms around you and he gives you a soft expression. "I hate seeing you like this, so whatever crap you're going through right now, you can tell me about it. You know I love you, babe...."

You felt tears sting your eyes and slide down your cheeks, shocking Katsuki. You were sad, and felt regretful... and all the mixed-up emotions that had been piling up in your heart overflowed, just a bit.

"Hey, Hikari! Are you okay?! Dammit! What's wrong?!" Katsuki places his hand on your cheek and wipes away a few tears.

"I'm sorry...!" You cried. "But I can't tell you anything yet..." You placed your hand over your boyfriend's hand, which is on you cheek, and caressed it. You smiled at him. "But thank you for caring about me... I promise to tell you everything once this is over."

It irritated Katsuki that you won't tell him anything, but he knows that he has to respect your decision and just wait. 

"Do you remember when we did that rescue training race? "Whoever wins, the loser has to promise to do whatever the winner says?"..."

"Yeah. You never told me what you wanted me to do."

"In that case, I want you to do one thing..."

Two days later, you and the rest of the work studies students who will take part in the mission received a text message that said the mission will start. Sir Nighteye found out Eri's location when he ran into a Shie Hassaikai member at a store and used Foresight on him. Now, here you are, outside the Shie Hassaikai household at 8:30 AM.

"Yagi." Horikoshi, who's hero name is Void, spoke to you. Hero hero costume consists of kunoichi outfit. She's wearing a mask that covers the bottom half of her face. "When we reach Eri, you can count on me to secure her safety!"

You nodded. Yuko Horikoshi has the ability to make portals, so that means she can grab Eri and easily get her away from Chisaki. 

Your conversation with the Class 1-B student was interrupted when a huge muscular man in a mask similar to Chisaki's crashes out of the front gates and sends four police officers flying. You and Izuku each caught one police officer while Eraserhead caught the other two. The Ryukyu group stayed behind to deal with the big guy and the rest of you moved forward. 

"Nothing particularly suspicious so far, huh?" Fat Gum said as he looked back at the fight between the Yakuza members and the good guys while running.

"I'm gettin' a bad feelin 'bout this!" Rock Lock spoke. "But now that we're here, there's no turnin' back!"

"I wonder if they got information leaked to them somehow..." Amajiki, who's hero name is Sun Eater, speculates. "It feels like they're way more coordinated than they should be..."

"If that's the case, then wouldn't they be doing something a bit more planned?" Void asked. "It looks like their doing whatever they've been told to do."

"By joining the family, you pledge loyalty to those at the top." Eraserhead answers. "The manner in which they value that solidarity appears to be the same now as it was long ago. All this fuss... and we've yet to see Chisaki or any of the higher-ups. I'll bet they're hiding underground and preparing a means of escape."

"The hell kind of "loyalty" is that?!" Red Riot shouts in disapproval. "Having your followers take responsibility for you while you try and run away, that ain't manly at all!!"

You and Fat Gum hummed in agreement. 

"Here." Sir Nighteye speaks as you all stopped at a section of the wall with a potted plant. He moves the plant aside. "Below here there's a mechanism to open up the hidden path." Nighteye then starts pressing down on the wooden tiles in a particular order. "If you press down on the wooden floor following a specific sequence, it'll open."

"It's like a ninja house!" Bubble Girl gasped.

"No way we would have discovered it if you hadn't seen it." Centipeder said. "Let's beware of the Quirks we've yet to see as we move on."

When the secret passage opened, three more Hassaikai members appeared from the passage and attacked. Bubble Girl and Centipeder subdued the three goons so the rest of you can continue onward. Chisaki used his Quirk to create a dead end, but thanks to Lemillion, Deku and Red Riot, the obstacle was broken through. However, you soon ran into another hurdle. A Shie Hassaikai member used his "Mimicry" Quirk to enter the concrete that makes up the under passage and turned it into a living labyrinth. Eraserhead isn't able to erase the Quirk because the actual body isn't in his field of vision. Lemillion used his Permeation to pass through the moving hallway. Then, before you could react, the floor opens up beneath you and you fell down along with Deku, Red Riot, Eraserhead, Fat Gum, Rock Lock, Sun Eater, Void, and a few policemen. You landed on your feet in an empty room, but then Horikoshi landed on you and you groaned in pain. 

"H-Hori... Void. Get. off. Please." You groaned out.

"Y-Yagi...!"

Realizing that she accidentally used you as a cushion to break her fall, Void immediately got off of you and apologized profusely. You told her it was okay as you rotated your shoulder. Void then looks up at the ceiling then around the large dimly lit room.

"I don't see Fat Gum, Amajiki, or anybody."

"We must've gotten separated during that fall." You stood up and looked up at the ceiling. "That guy with the Mimicry Quirk did this to buy Chisaki time to escape with Eri..."

You thought about Eri and frowned. None of this would've happened if you hadn't let go of Eri that day. You failed her once... you're not going to fail her again!

"We have to trust that Deku and everyone will get out of whatever situation their in and catch up with Lemillion." You turn to Void. "We should focus on getting ourselves out of here first."

Void nodded in agreement. 

"So, we have to take care of these girlies?" A low female voice said.

Void jolted to her feet and the both of you got in a fighting stance. As Void got out a 20 cm long rod and extended it into a bo staff, a Cheetah heteromorph woman stepped out of the shadows. She's wearing a navy blue jumpsuit. 

"Even if they are kids, they are still on the side of these false heroes." Added a female red fox heteromorph. She's wearing a red and white kimono. "We have to deal with these brats so that Overhaul can escape with the little girl and the bullets."

"Heh. The ninja girl with flat chest doesn't look like much of a threat."

Void covers her chest in shame with her staff and hands. You cracked your knuckles, getting ready to hurt the spotted heteromorph for making your portal friend cry.

"Enough talk. Cheetah, take care of the red jacket. Don't hold back."

"Sounds good!"

Before you could blink, Cheetah kicks you with great force and sends you flying into a wall. You cough out blood. Void called out to you, but before she could run to your side, the fox woman grabs Horikoshi's arm and throws her across the room. Void quickly got up and used her bo staff to block the fox woman's next attack. While Void fought against the fox woman, you were dodging Cheetah's attacks. Because of Cheetah's speed, the woman didn't give you time to think, let alone return a few blows. You have cut and slashes on your arms, legs and back from her claws. You know that you have to time your attack perfectly in order to get a solid hit in. You shared a glance with void and she signaled you to get ready to attack. A portal appears behind the Cheetah woman and you immediately attacked. 

"Aqua Cyclone...!" You create a cyclone of water in front of your hands and shot it into the portal.

"Ha! You missed--!"

A portal pops up closer to the Cheetah woman and your Aqua Cyclone sends her straight into her heteromorph companion. Cheetah growled in frustration and charged at you for another attack. Luckily, you evaded her claws and grabbed her tail. Cheetah managed to land a strike on your leg, but you burned her tail which made her recoil and cry out in pain. Upon seeing her comrade in pain, the fox woman barred her fangs and rushes at you for an attack. You used your Steam Veil to cover the room and dodge the fox's attack. Cheetah attempts to attack you from behind, but Void blocked the attack with her metal bo staff.

"Why... are you two... following a man... like Chisaki...?" Void grunted out as she pushed the Cheetah woman back.

"Before we met Overhaul, our lives were nothing but hell!" The fox woman growled out.

She brings out a whip and coils it around you. "Heteromorphs like us face discrimination!" The fox uses her whip to yank you towards her and she gripped your neck. "They said we have "tainted blood" and that we looked "hideous" The woman throws you against a wall. "Our families abandoned us, our friends used us and talked behind our backs!... The people we gave our hearts to... rejected us harshly and betrayed us without a second thought!!"

You stumbled back to your feet. At the same time, the fox woman lashes her whip at you, but you burned it before it could strike you. 

"But everything changed when we met Kai Chisaki!" Cheetah kicks you and Horikoshi at breakneck speed. This causes Void's shoulder to dislocate. "He took us in..." You grabbed Void's metal bo staff and used it to block the attacks of the heteromorphs while Void used her portals to misdirect the attacks. "He made us a part of his family! He gave us a place to belong to!!"

 The fox woman kicks the metal bo staff out of your hands and pins you down. Cheetah then kicks Horikoshi and pins her down.

"Ch-Chisaki is... a heartless, sadistic monster... that doesn't care about anyone... but himself!" Void grunted out loudly as she struggled in the Cheetah woman's grip.

"That sociopath... is torturing... an innocent little girl, his own daughter, to fulfill his own goals...!" You added in frustration while also struggling in the fox woman's grasp. "Does someone like that... really deserve... your loyalty... and devotion!?"

"Shut up." The fox woman demanded. 

You and Void cried out in pain as you both felt the heteromorphs dig their claws deeper into your skin.

"For your information, that girl isn't his daughter. She's the granddaughter of the old man." Cheetah said as she and the fox woman got ready to strike the finishing blow.

​What? Chisaki must've lied to us.

"Besides, we can't expect a couple of kids to understand... the feeling of being discriminated because of your appearance, the feeling of being rejected, the feeling of betrayal, the feeling of finding a place where you belong in this messed up world and the feeling of meeting that one person you can't live without!"

At that moment, memories of your childhood from pre school to UA flashed in your mind. When you were a kid, mom and dad were always busy being heroes, and you always felt alone despite having Sir Nighteye and Lumine watch over you sometimes. You felt as if you weren't even their daughter. That's how you felt betrayed. After Lumine's death, you and your mom moved and you became Katsuki Bakugou's s next door neighbor. Then you met Izuku and the three of you became friends. In middle school, your friendship with Izuku stayed the same, but Katsuki changed and he started to act more like a jerk. Whenever you tried to reach your hand out to him and talk to him about it, he snatches his hand away from you with a annoyed expression. During all those times one of your childhood friends refused to let you understand him better, you felt rejected and betrayed every time. When Endeavor, one of the pro heroes you respected and looked up to, insulted you, the betrayal you felt almost broke your heart. When your parents gave all their attention to Izuku and left you in the dark about OFA, you felt more betrayed than ever. You do know the feeling of rejection... and you do know a thing or two about betrayal.... but you also know the feeling of meeting that one person you can't live without. Then, something awakened inside you and you summoned pink, red, yellow and orange flames from your body. The two heteromorphs immediately took several steps away from you so they don't get burned, but your flames don't hurt Horikoshi. Horikoshi gaped at you in amazement as you rose to your feet. 

"You're right..." You helped your friend get back on her feet. "I'm not a heteromorph, so I never faced the mistreatment you two experienced. However, I do understand a few things... I know what it feels like to be rejected and betrayed... but I also know what it's like to meet one--" You shook your head. "No, at least two people and later not being able to imagine a life without them!"

Your flames burned hotter without hurting your friend. 

"I understand why you're loyal and devoted to Chisaki, but that scoundrel is only using you..." You folded your hands and arms together in front of you. "And I am NOT going to let him hurt Eri anymore!!"

"We won't let you get in Chisaki's way!!" The two heteromorphs moved forward to attack together. 

"Sunflower White Snake!" 

You create a flaming hot white and pink snake that attacks the two heteromorphs. The attack knocks out the fox woman, but Cheetah quickly dodged it. 

"I don't care if you do understand!" Cheetah speeds towards you and got ready for your next attack. "And I don't care if that horned brat is in despair! I will see Kai Chisaki's goals accomplished until the very end!!!"

"...Then there's nothing else to say to you... Dragon of the Aqua!!!"

You create a huge current of water in the shape of a serpent-like dragon and send it towards the feline heteromorph. The water dragon goes into a portal that Void created with the Cheetah woman in his mouth and you breathed a sigh of relief and your flames died down for now. 

"Himawari, you did it!" Void is relieved as you are about the strong foes being defeated.

"Don't forget... you helped with that Cheetah woman, but it's not over yet..."

Far from it. You still haven't saved Eri yet. You and Void's bodies are aching all over from the injuries you both received, but neither of you cared. The top priority is securing Eri's safety. 

"Himawari." Void had a serious tone in her voice. "I want you to relocate my shoulder."

You were surprised by Void's request and additionally nervous to perform such a procedure. After some debate, Void was able to convince you to do it and you reluctantly listened to her instructions. After achieving the task, Void performs her ultimate move.

"Gates to Infinity!!"

You watched as several portals appear around the room.

"Himawari, can you attack each portals? And maybe attack with your ultimate moves?"

You nodded and did as she asked. You performed Sunflower White Snake in one portal, Torrent in another portal, and Sunflower Fist Thrust in two other portals. You sent every attack into each portal. Void also sent the fox heteromorph into a portal. You didn't know where She sent the fox woman, but your only guess is that she sent her to the police. Then, Horikoshi grabs your hand and dashes into one of the portals with you. In just a second, you and Void land on your feet in another area of the underground labyrinth. Your emerald eyes are met with innocent red ones.

"Eri!" You immediately recognized the little girl who was bundled up in Lemillion's cape.

seeing the girl you failed to save back then, you couldn't help but smile. You've been thinking about her nonstop ever since you heard her plea for help and learned about her horrid situation. That regret has been weighing heavily on your heart, but now, you can finally get Eri away from her bastard of a father and see her smile.

"Eri I--"

"Himawari, watch out!!" Lemillion shouted. 

Upon hearing your upperclassman's warning, you noticed Chisaki using his Quirk to send concrete spikes your way. 

"Aqua Slicer!!"

While holding Eri with one arm, you swipe your other arm and sent two scythe-like blades of water to most of the spikes so they don't hurt you and Eri. A few other spikes were misdirected by Void's portals so that they hurt Kai Chisaki and his accomplaccs. A portal appears below you without warning, and fall into with Eri still in your arms. You landed on your back in another area, much to your dissatisfaction. Your dissatisfaction soon vanished after you scanned your surroundings. You and Eri are no longer in the underground labyrinth. The two of you were sent back to the surface thanks to Void. You were currently sitting on the middle of the road in the neighborhood where the Shie Hassaikai reside. You mentally thanked Void for the quick thinking and ran to Ryukyu and the other pro heroes and police officers that stayed behind. 

"Wait!" Eri cried out to you. "We have to go back!"

"Don't worry, I'll go back and help them as soon as I bring you to the police!"

"No! I-if I leave, then... h-he'll..."

You stopped running and looked down at the little girl in your arms. She's trembling and has a worried look on her face. It's obvious that Chisaki not only abused her physically, he also emotionally abused her as well to get her to stay with him and not try to escape again. She also reminds you of you back when the League of Villians attacked the training camp and kidnapped Katsuki to get to you. You kissed Eri's forehead which catches her off guard. 

"Eri..." You spoke to the girl softly. "Ever since you bumped into me, I couldn't stop thinking about you. And when I learned about how horribly that asshole was treating you, I hated myself for letting you leave with him. I'm not the only one who feels that way. My two friends who were with me, Lemillion and Deku, all three of us have been drowning in regret and guilt for not getting you away from him sooner back then." You held Eri closer to you. "You were pleading for help and we had no idea how awful your situation is. On behalf of me and my friends, we are so sorry it took us this long to come to your aid." You gave Eri a kind smile. "Everyone came to rescue you, Eri, so let's get you away from here."

And with that, you started running again. When you reached Ryukyu's team, they were still fighting the large yakuza member. You put Eri down and blasted the big guy in the face with a massive fire ball. 

"Hey! Where did you come from?!" Yelled the brute.

"Himawari, you got Eri! Ribbit!" Froppy said.

"Yeah, but right now, Lemillion and Void are fighting Chisaki as we speak! They need reinforcements! I'll lead you to the spot!"

After you handed Eri over to one of the pro heroes, you led the girls to the crossroads where Void and Lemillion are in the underground labyrinth. Ryukyu restrained the giant Hassaikai member. Then, Uravity uses her Quirk to make the guy weightless and Froppy used her tongue to make the him move with you guys.

"Nejire! Hit the both of us with everything you've got!" Ryukyu shouted to your female upperclassman. 

"Why can these damn bitches still move?!" The giant Hassaikai said in utter annoyance and confusion. 

"Because we're told day in, and day out to...." You and the three female UA students answered at the same time. "Go Beyond! Plus Ultra!"

As Uravity released the man from her Quirk, Nejire blasted the henchman and Ryukyu down with all her might. The force caused a hole in the road which leads to the area of the underground labyrinth where Void and Lemillion are fighting Chisaki. When you stared down at the scene below you, you froze and your emerald eyes widened in horror. Lemillion is okay. Deku had a few injuries and Void was so injured that she could barely stand, but Sir Nighteye's condition was far worst. Your mentor was bloody, he lost an arm, and he has a large spike sticking out of his stomach. You glared down at the Yakuza boss. You felt like your blood was boiling with rage at the sight of the monster below.

"You..." The sorry excuse of a human being gritted out with anger. "You heroes... and this disease... give Eri back to me!!!"

Suddenly, something sounded inside you like a buzzer. It was was hard to understand, but somehow, you could sense Chisaki's rage and murderous intent. You used your flames to save your childhood friend from Chisaki's deadly attack and Togata carried Sir Nighteye and Horikoshi to safety. You held on to your dear friend as you dodged the concrete spikes created by Chisaki. You ended up blasting yourself and Izuku into the air; above the battlefield. 

"H-Himawari!"

You glanced at your friend and your emerald eyes widened in shock. You were still holding onto Deku and glowing water was floating around him. You brought the two of you back to ground level. You looked at the water floating around Izuku then at yourself. The water was coming from you... and looked like the water was healing your friend's body.

"Himawari... how are you doing this...?" Izuku asked in astonishment. 

You stared down at your hands. You knew that Izuku got injured and he was hurting his body because he was using a larger percentage of OFA than what he can handle. It looks like you subconsciously healing your friend.

"I don't know..." You simply replied, feeling perplexed.

The road suddenly bursts close to the two of you and you had to move out of the way. When Chisaki appeared from the hole, he no longer had a human appearance. His lower body is fused into a monstrous stone structure, protruding multiple appendages each equipped with clawed hands. His upper body is the same but lies within the mouth of the structure, and his upper jaw has a mask of one of his followers. His monstrous form matched his wretched personality. 

"Eri is unable to control her power." The Yakuza monster states. "With Eri's Quirk, she can rewind humans. Depending on how she uses it, she could probably revert a person to a monkey, if she tried. She can rewind anything she touches to nothingness. That Quirk of hers is cursed. Return Eri to me."

"No fuckin' way!" ​You declined venomously. "We are not giving you Eri, no matter what!"

You remembered Katsuki's request.

​​Before the mission: 

"Yeah. You never told me what you wanted me to do."

"In that case, I want you to do one thing... whatever mission you have to do at your work studies, I want you to win, save as many as you can and comeback to me in one piece. Can you promise me that?"

You stared at your boyfriend and smiled at him.

"I will definitely do that."

You hugged your boyfriend. Katsuki moves your red hair which has grown to shoulder length, to kiss your neck. You felt so lucky to have such a wonderful boyfriend like Katsuki Bakugou.

Present Day:

You offered your hand to your friend. 

"Deku, I don't know how, but I think I'm able to heal your injuries, so don't hold back! Let this jackass have it!"

Izuku Midoriya stares at you for a second before giving you a determined expression. 

"Right!" Deku takes your hand.

Your childhood friend activates the full power of One For All and you used your water to heal his body. 

"Neither of you... understand the value of her power. By developing a Quirk, you make leaps forward. Through extensive research, I have been able to extract Eri's power and successfully brought it to its pinnacle. And the result... is not merely the ability to rewind the body, no... but a flow that runs even deeper... the flow that brought about our kind... the ability to rewind back to before the mutation happened. That is the power that lives within Eri." The monster boss uses his extra arms to touch the residential homes. "The power to extinguish one's Quirk factor, returning them to normalcy...! The power to destroy this world, built on top of Quirks, the power to destroy the way of things... That is Eri!" Spikes formed from the houses and came at you and Deku. "She is not a product made for brats like you who can't appreciate her value!"

Deku dodges the assault with you on his back and kicks Chisaki into the air.

You're wrong!!" You shouted in anger as you continued to heal Deku's body. "Eri is not just a person with a powerful Quirk! She isn't a product made for your own personal selfish goals! She's a human being that's able to feel pain and all sorts of emotions, a little girl who needs guidance and a friend! You're the one who doesn't value her at all!!!"

You engulf your hands in flames and put both of them back to back from each other in the shape of two cones like you're holding a telescope. As you blew hard through your hands, you thought: ...Sunflower Ryu! ​​​​From within the tunnel created by your palms, a large long flaming serpent-like dragon forms and flies towards your monstrous opponent. It destroys three of the yakuza boss's extra arms and coils around the monster while it bites him with it's jaws. Since the attack isn't made of a naturally solid material, Chisaki couldn't use his Quirk on it.

"Every last one of you is missing the big picture!!" Chisaki uses his Quirk to disassemble his arms. "What I'm trying to destroy is this ​​"world!!" The very structure that makes it so!! And instead, you fake heroes... irrationally fixated on this tiny notion of justice that sits in front of your eyes... Stay out of my way!!"

Chisaki reassembled his arms into four large ones. Chisaki attacks with the four extra arms, but you weren't having it. You use your Aqua Wings to move you and Deku forward. You ignite and create a sharp-blade of flames on the palm of your hand, and perform a powerful upward slash on two of the arms. The two arms fall off and burn away.

​​​​"Daybreak!!" 

Chisaki then attacks again with one of his remaining giant arms. To counter that, you repeated your actions from the last move except that you performed a powerful downward slash. 

"Sunset!!"

The third arm falls off and burns away into nothing. You and Deku gets behind the boss villian and your friend hits the foe with a barrage of punches at breakneck speed. 

"If we can't even save a little girl standing right before our eyes... then how can we possibly become heroes who saves everyone?!!!" Izuku yells as he lands one last punch on the villian.

He then throws the enemy down onto the ground which knocks him out. Deku struck him near the huge hole, so damage to the area was minimized. By the time you and Deku were back on the ground, you felt really weak. You knew that you used powerful moves a lot throughout the mission, but for some reason, you were so tired that you could barely stand.

"Himawari!" Your childhood friend caught you before you collapsed.

"...D-Deku... is... Chisaki down...?"

"Yeah..." Deku smiled and nodded. "He's down."

Hearing that caused you to smile and you passed out.

You soon woke up in the hospital. After getting patched up by a female doctor, your mother came. As you walked down the corridor with your mother, she told you the conditions of your classmates and everyone who went into the underground labyrinth. Hado, Togata, Ochaco and Tsuyu are okay. However, Yuko Horikoshi suffered a spikes to an arm and a leg along with slashes and some bruises from the heteromorphs' attacks. She also got shot by one of those Quirk-destroying bullets and lost her Quirk. Mr. Aizawa got 10 stitches. Izuku was surprisingly fine. Mom and the doctors didn't know why, but you knew the answer to that and planned on telling her and your dad about it at UA. Eijiro has immense bruising and lacerations all over his body, but it's not life-threatening. Tamaki Amajiki has a large fissure-like wound on his face, but apparently it'll heal up without a trace, given time. Fat Gum suffered numerous bone fractures, but he seemed to be doing fine. Rock Lock was stabbed by Himiko Toga which confirmed the League's involvement. Fortunately, the blade missed all of his internal organs, so none of his injuries were serious. Eri is okay, but she isn't able to control her rewind Quirk. Because they don't know how strong the Quirk is, and to keep their minds at ease, they have her quarantined. It doesn't work on things like buildings or the ground, only on people. That means that it's not something that can be easily trained, disciplined, or fine-tuned. Then there's Sir Nighteye. His condition is more critical than the others. You knew how bad Nighteye's injuries were when you saw him, but you still hoped for a miracle that will save your mentor. You and your mother entered an area outside Sir Nighteye's room. Mr.Aizawa, Recovery Girl, Izuku, Bubble Girl, Centipeder, and your father were also there. Every single one of you know that your mentor will not make it. Everyone enters Nighteye's room. The scene in front of your emerald eyes broke your heart. There are cords and tunes sticking out of his wound that was caused by the massive spike. The stub where his left arm used to be is bandaged up. Each cord and tube is attached to a machine that's allowing him to stay alive for only a few minutes. He looks so pale and weak.

"Nighteye!!" You called out to your family friend. 

Nighteye slowly opens his eyes and glances at you. 

"Hikari..." He speaks in a weakly tone. "I'm glad to see that you're okay..." Nighteye's gaze shifts to your parents. "All...Might... Hope... you two finally came to see me... when I'm on my deathbed...?"

"I don't even know how to respond." Your mother sadly spoke as she held back tears.

"I was wrong." All Might placed his hands on his wife's shoulders. "I pushed you away, and now..."

"Nighteye! You can't go! You have to live! Hanf in there!" Izuku begged as tears formed in his eyes.

"You humble yourself too much... it's not like... I blame you or anything... all I wanted... was for the three of you to be happy... That's why... if you and Hope decided to fight against fate... I'm fine with that..."

"I want you to fight against fate, too!" Your father added. He holds Kami's hand tightly. 

"We all do!" Kami wept. "So, please! Stay alive and let us make amends for everything!"

"...Making amends... I also owe a lot of people... for troubling them... up until now... I've been searching for every possible way... to change your future... I wanted to change the future... where you both are killed... and where Hikari is all alone... I searched... all this time... but... nothing worked... I couldn't... change a single thing. But... Midoriya and Hikari showed me a way. I just couldn't... clear away these doubts. "I can't change anything." "It's impossible to change it." Those thoughts were always... stuck in the back of my mind... looking back... I think... it was all about energy... a future that you strongly wish for... so strongly, that there is no room for doubts... a strong and clear vision. Energy... from wishing. I'm sure Hikari and Midoriya aren't the only ones... I think everyone... believed so strongly... in a single future, that it all just joined together. I think all that energy was focused into Hikari and Midoriya, and this was the result of them... firing it all out at once..."

Your eyes began to water as Sir Nighteye continued. His words are hopeful, yet it didn't take away the horrible truth: He's not going to pull through. 

"The future is never certain.... You two changed my views on that. I am... very satisfied with that... However... I regret one thing..."

"Wait! Mr. Togata!"

You all turned towards the door and saw Mirio Togata in his Hero costume enter the hospital room as a nurse tries to stop him.

"Sir Nighteye!" ​​Togata called out to his mentor as he runs to Nighteye's bedside.

"Mirio..."

"No! Please don't die! You can't go! You just can't!" ​​​​​Your upperclassman gripped the beds siderail as he wept sorrowfully. 

"Nighteye, please, stay alive!" You begged through your tears. "Not just for our sake, but for yours, too! When I was little, you made me smile, gave me reassurance, made me laugh, and trained me even though you were already training another UA student. You're like a brother to me!"

"Sir! You taught me and Yagi everything! It's because of you that we've gotten so strong! Please, you have to keep teaching us!! You can't die!!!"

Sir Nighteye looks up at the crying faces of you and Mirio Togata. At first, he only took Togata on because he thought the young man was a fitting vessel. But Togata held such admiration for his mentor, and believed in him, and before Nighteye knew it, Mirio Togata became his most treasured student. And then there's you, the daughter of the two people he admire and used to work with. In the past, you felt alone because your parents were so busy and you had on a fake smile to hide that loneliness. Now, your smile is more genuine. You radiate a light that gives the people around you hope, joy and strength. With the little remaining strength he has, Nighteye reaches his hand towards you slowly. You noticed this and immediately held his hand tightly. Your mentor looks into your weeping eyes and activates Foresight. He smiles.

"... It'll be alright. You are going to become an outstanding hero... this is... the only future... that we shouldn't change. So please, keep smiling. Society needs smiles, laughs, and energy to bring about a bright future."

After Sir Nighteye's last words, the heart monitor goes flat. You let go of the lifeless man's hand and sobbed in your parents' embrace. The devastated sobs of those closest to the pro hero filled the room, and yet... Sir Nighteye died with a smile to remind everyone that smiles and laughter are important for a bright future.
