First Date

School was closed the day after the League of Villians attacked the USJ. The teachers and the faculty members wanted you and your classmates to have a little break, but it was hard for you to relax. During the USJ attack, all you and your classmates did was slow Mr. Aizawa and Thirteen down. If it weren't for your dad and your teacher, you all never would have stood a chance against these villians.

You felt kind of useless. You didn't help your father much at all. All you did was beat up some mediocre villians and hold back your dad. Thanks to that hand covered freak, Shigaraki, your mid-back length red hair now reached your neck. Worst of all, you lost your star locket during the incident. The teachers were kind enough to give you permission to look for it in the USJ with Cementoss and Ectoplasm, but unfortunately, you never found it.

You were upset about what you've lost during the USJ incident, but right now, you were facing a more urgent problem of any teenage girl...

"Damnit! I should've figured out what to wear before hand!" You shouted in frustration as you tossed two random tops to the side.

You were going on your first date with your boyfriend, Katsuki Bakugou, in about a few hours. At the moment, you're standing in the middle of your room surrounded by a variety of shirts, pants, bras, and a couple jackets. Your mother will scold you for the disorganization, but that was the least of your worries.

Speak of the devil, your mom walks into the room upon hearing your exasperated voice. Kami frowned when she saw your clothes scattered all over your room.

"I don't know what to wear..." You fretted as you gave your mom a pleading look.

Seeing you in distress over what outfit you should wear, Kami decided to ignore the range of clothes scattered and help you like any good mother would.

"Okay, I'll help you." Said Kami. "What are you two planning on doing?"

"Well, we'll be meeting at 1:00pm at the train station." You answered. "The first thing we're going to do is eat lunch. Then, Katsuki will be taking the lead after that..." You crossed your arms and sighed. "This would be alot easier if I knew where Katsuki was taking me. I don't want to be underdressed, but I also don't wanna be overdressed, either. Knowing Katsuki, I don't think he'll care what I wear, but I still want to look nice for him. We've been friends since you and I moved here and he's the only person I have romantic feelings for, so--"

You immediately stopped when Kami tapped your head with a book to get you to stop. Rude, but you blushed in embarrassment when you realized that you were muttering like a certain freckled friend you knew too well.

"First of all, don't mutter. It's a bad habit from Izuku." You laughed nervously in embarrassment and your mom continued. "Second, if you want my opinion, I suggest you wear something cute with some shoes you'll be comfortable walking in."

You listened to your mother's advice and picked out an outfit for your date. In the end, you chose to wear a black top with shorts and black TOMS. To top off the outfit, a black purse hung over your shoulder. After you were done getting dressed, you met with Katsuki at the train station at 13:00 hours. He was wearing a plain black t-shirt with a red jacket, black pants and matching sneakers.

"Katsuki!" You called out to your boyfriend as you ran up to him. "Did I keep you waiting?"

"No. I just got here a minute ago." Katsuki replied.

Your boyfriend looked at you up and down, taking a look at the outfit you're wearing. You started to have second thoughts about your choice.

"You... you don't like my outfit...?"

Katsuki's eyes widened, then he quickly turned his head away from you. A faint blush appeared his face. "You look fine. Let's go hurry up and get some lunch."

You followed Katsuki and he took you to a ramen restaurant. You both took your seats and ordered your food. You ordered the Vegetable Ramen and Katsuki ordered the Miso Hot Ramen.

"So, were you able to find your necklace?" Katsuki asked after the waiter left with your food requests.

Your heart sank at the mention of your missing locket.

"No..." You said softly. "None of the teachers were able to find it." You caressed your neck where your locket hung. "It was a gift from my dad before me and mom moved here... We rarely talk, but I still love him."

"Come to think of it, I've never seen your dad, and you never act like you're on bad terms with him."

"My dad is a Pro Hero. So, in order to protect me...he distanced himself from me and mom... and just treated us like any other citizen... or student."

You muttered the last part, but the ash-blonde clearly heard you. Before you could tell Katsuki more about your family, the waiter came with your food. The waiter was giving you flirty compliments as he served your food, which annoyed you and angered your boyfriend. Katsuki threatened the waiter to not flirt with you again or else he'll reduce him to ashes. The waiter that was trying to get your number hurried away in fear and the two of you were able to enjoy your date in piece.

"That was so good!" You sighed in delight. "We should go back there again sometime."

"Not while that damn waiter is working there." Katsuki remarks, making you giggle. "Okay, let's go to the next place."

Katsuki never told you what you were going to do next after you ate lunch somewhere, so you were curious about what else he had planned for your date. After a few minutes of walking, you stopped at a movie theater. You gasped and your emerald eyes sparkled when you looked at the available movies showing on the sign. The new Dragon Queen movie opened today and you completely forgot. You were so busy with school that you didn't check. If you're one of the 10,000 people to buy tickets, you'll get a special gift.

"Here." Katsuki tossed you a crimson fire dragon phone charm that resembled the one in the movie. "You can have mine, too." Katsuki gave you an Azure Dragon phone charm from the movie, too.

He then handed you a movie ticket as realization struck you.

"You don't want your dragon charm?"

"Why would I want that thing? It's useless."

You thanked your boyfriend for the two dragons before putting the charms in your purse. You both went into the theater room where the movie was going to be played and you took your seats.

"So Katsuki, did you watch the prequel?"

"I didn't."

Your eyes widened. "You didn't!? But this is the sequel and you probably won't get the story!"

You were dying to see this movie, but the point of a date is for both of you to enjoy it, so you didn't want Katsuki to be too confused by what was happening. The movie starts before you could say one more word to your boyfriend, so you turned your attention towards the big screen.

Katsuki's POV

Damnit! I don't understand what's going on at all! I should've watched the damn prequel first before taking Hikari to see this movie while I looked like a fucking idiot for not knowing shit.

Speaking of Hikari... I looked at her. She was so focused on the movie and she had a stupid, yet cute, smile on her face. Glad to see that she was enjoying herself at least. I then lowered my gaze to her hand which was sitting on the armrest between us. Back when we were kids, we would often hold hands. Since when did we stop holding hands? Since when... did I try to push her away? I slowly reached my hand out to hold her hand. Crap! Why am I so nervous all of a sudden? My heart is beating so damn loud that I think someone can hear it. But that's not the worst part. I was so nervous that my palm was sweating... and my Quirk accidentally activated. Hikari looked at me as if I was crazy, obviously, and I can feel every damn extra staring at me in annoyance while tiny sparks went off in my hands.

"Katsuki!" Hikari whispered loudly after I withdrew my hand. "Why the heck did you activate your Quirk!? Oh my God! You're sweating bullets!"

Shit! That was a total failure! I'm lucky that none of those sparks made contact with her hand. Hikari snapped me back to reality when she suddenly grabbed my hand herself.

"We're going!" She got a hold of her purse and we both got up from our seats and she literally dragged me out of the theater room.

As she dragged me out like I was some misbehaved kid, I remembered why we stopped holding hands... It was during our first year of middle school. I was mountain climbing when I suddenly noticed Hikari at the edge of a cliff. When she was about to jump, my heart stopped. My mind went blank and I used my Quirk to get to her quickly. After I prevented her fall, we had an argument and it turned out that she wasn't about to do a suicide attempt, she was actually training by herself... getting better at using her Quirk... and before I knew it, she was holding one of my trembling hands.

"Katsuki, you're trembling..."

I wanted to hug her and just hold her in my arms knowing that she wasn't going anywhere, but she was looking at me the same way Deku did back when we were kids... looking at me as if I was a weakling!

"I'm sorry if I scared you."

"Let go!!"

I snatched my hand away from Hikari and she looked at me dumbfounded. "But Katsuki, you looked--"

"Nothing was wrong!!" I interrupted her. "I never asked for your damn help!! I was completely fine! There was nothing wrong!"

This was a mistake. Why the hell did I chose this damn movie in the first place!? Why did I make myself look like a dumbass?

"Like hell you were fine! Don't give me that crap!" Hikari angrily snapped. "If you got nervous or something, just say so. That doesn't make it a good excuse to yell at me like that! I'm not the one who activated his Quirk in the middle of the movie!" She inhaled sharply. "I was so looking forward to our date, I was happy that I get to spend some time with you, but..." I saw the angry tears that threatened to fall from her green eyes and I immediately felt guilty. "But then you had to ruin it by acting like a jerk! I'm not going to apologize to you for getting us out of that theater and I'm not going to apologize for worrying about your well-being! I'm not the one at fault!"

Hikari turned her head away from me and took several deep breathes to calm herself down. Her eyes were shut to keep any tears from falling. Shit! Why do I always do this? I planned this date so that she can enjoy it, but I messed everything up... I never wanted to make her cry.

I pulled Hikari's face towards mine and kissed her softly. I held her hand as I kissed her, hoping that this will calm her down. She doesn't need to apologize for anything. I'll apologize for my fault instead.

"I'm sorry." I said after I break our kiss. "No matter what I say or do, I always end up making you cry."

She didn't reply, but I guess she forgives me because she pulled me in for another kiss while still holding my hand.

"Hikari, can you lend me the prequel Blu-ray Disc of Dragon Queen?" I asked Hikari. We left the movie theater without finish watching the new film. We stopped at a Boba tea place on the way and we're walking back home with our drinks.

"Sure. Are you gonna watch it?"

"Yeah, I'm gonna. Then, we're gonna go back next week, and watch that movie properly."

It's the least I could do since I was the one who ruined our date in the end.

"You should have this."

I looked at her, and she was holding the red dragon phone charm towards me. The reason why I gave her that charm was because I wasn't interested in the movie as much as she was, so why is she giving it to me?

"Hah? Why? Didn't you want it?"

"I just want both of us to have something as a souvenir from our first date. Plus," Hikari smiled. "Once you've watched the prequel DVD, you'll definitely want it! 'Cause it's awesome!"

After she said that, I couldn't refuse her, so I accepted the dumb charm and turned my head away from her when I felt a damn blush appear on my face.

"Fine! I'll take it!"

She laughed and I heard her finish her Boba tea and throw it away.

"Also... I'm sorry for ruining our date."

I felt Hikari kiss my shoulder, making me whip my head towards her.

"I forgive you." The smile she gave me had more love and understanding. My heart skipped a beat and my face turned red as a tomato.

"Dumbass! Don't ever do that again!" I shouted.

Hikari just laughed and held my hand tighter.
