Another OC + The Cavalry Battle

Yuko Horikoshi is based off of Guitar Girl and the last name of this new OC has the same last name of the Arthur of the My Hero Academia manga.

Quirk: Portals

Quirk Description: she can create warps and go anywhere as long as she knows the place. She can also use her warps for objects and other living things.

Drawback: If she overexerts her Quirk, it makes her dizzy and lightheaded.

Strengths: It's useful for evacuating citizens and getting to enemies quickly.

Weaknesses: She is unable to control it when she's asleep, so she often finds herself in a different place when she wakes up. Because of this, she has to tie or handcuff herself to a solid foundation.

Personality: Yuko is a shy, introspective girl who doesn't have much confidence in herself in the beginning despite getting into UA. She doesn't like being the center of attention and she looks up to Hikari Yagi and Mirio Togata. Yuko is also a very kind and likable girl who cares about her friends deeply,  being visibly affected and worried when something bad happens to them or when they're feeling any negative emotions. She has a great dislike of blood and pain because of some trauma she faced in Middle school. She lives with her Uncle who care about her deeply. She wants to be a hero so that she can help people in anyway she can and won't have to suffer the way she did.

Yuko Horikoshi is one of the Class 1-B students. You were hesitant to accept her into your team because you were positive that all of the students in Class 1-B hated Class 1-A, but all of her classmates were already in teams of their own and her Quirk is very useful. Her Quirk is Portal, and she is able to make warps in various sizes that'll take her anywhere she pleases. Thanks to her Quirk, you were able to grab a few headbands with a good amount of points, but that wasn't enough. You weren't done yet. You wanted the ten million.

"And now we've reached the halfway point of the game!" Announced Present Mic. "As the Cavalry battle enters its second half, it's anyone's game! Class 1-B has made an unexpected showing, but who will wear the ten million points in the end? That's the real question, sports fans!"

"I'll be taking that, now." Shoto says to Izuku, referring to the ten million point headband.

That's what you think, Todoroki. You thought as you looked at him then at Izuku.

Todoroki had Iida, Kaminari, and Yaoyorozu on his team, and Izuku had Uraraka, Tokoyami, and a student from the Support Course on his team. You don't know anything about the support girl, but you did know that Izuku and Shoto chose the right classmates to be on their team.

You looked down at your teammates and nodded to each of them. They each nodded in return and you threw a massive fire ball at Todoroki. Your classmate blocked it by creating an ice wall and Izuku looked at you in surprise. 

"Himawari!"

This is it. You planned this with your teammates. You know your classmates' Quirks. No one is going to keep you from getting that ten million. 

"Sorry, Izuku." You slowly raised your hand and the dark shadow from Tokoyami got ready to defend. "But you're finished!"

Right on cue, Horikoshi creates a portal and you immediately shoved your hand inside it.

"Deku!" Uraraka warned, but it was too late.

Your hand reappeared from another portal behind Izuku and yanked the ten million headband from his head. You and your teammates cheered over the success.

"Wow!! Looks like Yagi from Class 1-A easily snagged Midoriya's ten million points and danced her way to the top of the charts!" Shouted Present Mic as the audience cheered. "But can she protect those points just as easily?"

You felt proud of yourself for getting to the top. You looked up at the cheering audience in search of your father to see how proud he is. 

"Yagi, they're coming!" Shoji's warning shifted your focus to the several teams that were now after you.

"Give us that headband!" Tetsutetsu yelled as his team charged at you.

"And right after taking the top spot, Yagi has become the main target!" Present Mic comments.

The opposing teams were coming at you now! Todoroki and Izuku are obviously not going to let you keep those points because they were coming towards you, too.

"Tsu! Shoji! Horikoshi!" You called out to your teammates. "Let's do this!"

Determined looks appeared on the faces of your comrades. Shoji covered you with his Quirk, Horikoshi open a couple portals, and Tsu also got ready to fight back. You weren't going to give up these points without a fight. You'll make sure of it.

You looked over at Todoroki's team and realized that they were getting ready for Kaminari's attack. An idea came to you and you used your Quirk to create two big balls of water and threw it at Todoroki's through Horikoshi's Portals. Todoroki's team is now soaked to the bone and Todoroki stopped Kaminari's attack. 

"I'd be careful if I was you Kaminari." You smirked. "Water and electricity don't mix!"

"Nice work, Hikari!" Tsu praised.

"You're amazing, Miss Yagi!" Horikoshi complimented and you cringed.

You reprimanded her for the "Miss" surname and she apologized profusely. Hearing her refer to you as 'Miss' made you feel like you were older than your parents. You're the same age as her. Why is she talking to you like you're her superior?

Dark shadow caught you by surprise on one side, and a girl with a vine Quirk and Jiro attacked from another. You fended off dark shadow while Horikoshi redirected Jiro's attack and the vine girl's attack with her portals at another student that was after you. You and your team protected the points you had as if your lives were on the line.

"M-Midoriya's team isn't giving up!" Horikoshi stuttered nervously as she looked back at Izuku's team.

"Good! 'Cause neither are we!" You responded. 

Todoroki froze the teams in place by using his right side and Horikoshi used her portals to move your team out of range from the ice attack. You thanked Horikoshi for the great timing.

"Recipro...Burst!"

You looked back and saw Todoroki's team rushing at you with unimaginable speed. Horikoshi quickly made a portal to make sure they didn't get the chance to take the ten million headband. You asked Tsu for her toxic mucous and she gladly threw it through Horikoshi's portals and directly at Iida and Yaoyorozu. The mucous causes paralysis which is good because Iida wouldn't be able to use his Recipro Burst move, and hopefully, it'll prevent Yaoyorozu from using her Quirk. 

You looked over at Horikoshi in concern. "Horikoshi, are you alright?"

She nodded with a mumbled "yes" as she wobbled a bit. The drawback of her Quirk is that it makes her dizzy and lightheaded. You feel bad that you made her overuse her Quirk, so from this point onward, you won't rely on her.

"Hikari, Todoroki and Midoriya are on their way!" Tsu called out.

You looked at Todoroki's and Izuku's teams, and your eyes widened. 

"What the heck!? You shouldn't be moving!" You vociferated at Todoroki. 

"Yaoyorozu was able to make an antidote." Todoroki answered. 

You didn't suspect that. You had no idea that Yaoyorozu can make medicines with her Quirk. But right now wasn't the time to wonder about your classmate's Quirk. You need to keep them away!

"Guys! Let's go!"

Your teammates listened to you and they ran in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, Izuku's team caught up to you thanks to the support items that girl provided, and your team was completely trapped because of the ice wall Todoroki created around you all. There was nowhere to run. Your classmates backed you into a corner.

"Yagi." Shoji spoke.

You nodded to him, indicating that you knew what he had in mind. He confined you with his tentacles and you peeked through the opening. While Shoji is covering you like this, your team's points are safe and you can just wait it out. Or so you thought. Tokoyami's dark shadow pried Shoji's tentacles open and made an attempt to steal back the ten million points. You ignited your hand with a large flame to push it back. When Izuku's team was in the air and was attacked by Katsuki, and when you attacked with your flames, you were observing dark shadow. It looked like the shadow was weakest when it's exposed to bright light. It's helpless against your fire and Kaminari's electricity. 

"Only one minute left!" Present Mic shouted through the speakers. "Midoriya have corned Yagi's team and retrieved their stolen points which puts them back on top! At least, that's what I would have thought five minutes ago! Team Yagi's been able to keep away from the ice master and Team Midoriya for the last half of the game!"

"Yagi, let me make a portal!" Horikoshi begs and you gave her an unsure look. "I'll be fine!"

Before you could give her permission, you noticed that Todoroki and Izuku were charging at you. Panic filled your core. You knew that if their attacks hit, it'll give one of them the chance to steal your points.

From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than both of you. 

No! You can't lose! Especially to them!

You raised both of your arms. Fire emerged from one arm while water appeared from the other. You brought the two elements together, and steam covered the surrounding area. 

"OMG!! Yagi just made a fog to hide her team!" Present Mic yelled.

"Hikari Yagi. Her Quirk is Fire&Water." Commented Mr.Aizawa. "She can create fire with the oxygen in her body and water with the moisture inside her and bend them. By bringing the two elements together, she created a veil of steam. It's not hot enough to harm her teammates, though."

"Okay, Horikoshi. Make--"

You stopped midsentence when a huge pressure of wind made the steam vanish. You held on to your headbands and closed your eyes for a second, but when you reopened your eyes, Todoroki and Izuku were in front of you. Izuku's must've been the one to get rid of your steam veil. Todoroki shot fire through his left side at you, but you blocked it and redirected it to the ice wall around you. 

"That was a big mistake, Todoroki!" You mocked.

"Yagi is also able to control existing flames and water to her will." Aizawa adds. "Naturally, she used Todoroki's fire against him."

"And it appears that Midoriya's team has stolen all of Yagi's headbands while she was playing with fire!" Present Mic remarked. "But he didn't get the ten million!"

You looked down at your neck and what Present Mic said was true. Luckily you switched the headbands around so that the ten million would be safe, so your team should be good.

"The game is almost over! Time for a count down!"

Tokoyami's dark shadow attacked you, but you threw a fire ball at it.

"Deku!"

You looked up and saw your ash-blonde boyfriend above you while his team was on the ground. Katsuki looked at you and smiled his usual power hungry smile when he realized you had the ten million. 

"Your mine, Hikari!!"

Everyone was coming after you. You were really dehydrated, but you didn't care. All you care about right now is protecting your points!

"Time's up!"

Everyone stopped what they were doing and Katsuki fell to the floor.

"And with that, the second round is officially over." You breathed a sigh of relief as you got off your teammates. "Now, let's take a look at who our top five teams are! In first place, Team Yagi!"

"We did it!" You hugged Tsu.

"Ribbit!" She responded happily.

"It was all thanks to you." Shoji compliments through a tentacle. 

You shook your head and turned your head towards the portal girl. "I can't take all the credit. We wouldn't be in this position if it weren't for Horikoshi."

The portal girl looked down bashfully, not knowing how to respond. 

"In second place, Team Bakugou! In fourth place, Team Todoroki! In third place is Team Midoriya! In fifth place is Tetsute-- Wait, what? It's Team Shinso? When did they come back from the dead?"

You looked at the fifth place team. The leader was the same student that declared war on your classmates. So his name is Shinso? His teammates were Aoyama, Ojiro, and a student from Class 1-B. All three of them looked confused. As if they didn't know what was going on during the second round. 

"Anyway, these five valiant teams will advance on to the final round! Now, let's take an hour lunch break before we start the afternoon festivities! See ya soon! Hey, Eraserhead. Let's grab some food."

"I'm taking a map." Aizawa replied. 

You kissed Katsuki and wrapped your arms around him once you two were alone. He wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed back. You were so happy that you made it to first place that you couldn't sit still.

"Congrats on making it to the top." Katsuki smirked after you pulled away. 

"Thanks!" You kissed him again. 

You wanted to deepen the kiss, but you were interrupted by a classmate.

"Yagi."

You both broke away from the kiss and saw Todoroki standing a few steps away. You pulled yourself away from your boyfriend's hold, much to Katsuki's displeasure.

"What the hell do you want!? You icy hot bastard!" Katsuki snapped. He was obviously upset that interfered with his time with his girlfriend. 

"I want to talk to Yagi about something." Todoroki replied.

Katsuki was about to argue back, but you calmed him down and left to talk to Todoroki. Todoroki also asked Izuku to come with you guys and you were led to the Faculty and Student Entrance for some privacy. Apparently, this is also something that he wanted to talk to Izuku about, too. What could this jerk possibly want?
