A Key Item

After All Might punched the Nomu out of the USJ, and possibly out of the Earth's atmosphere, Shigaraki began to shake with rage. You couldn't see his facial expression, but you could tell that he was seething as he scratched his neck. 

"What's wrong?" All Might calls out to the villian. "Not attacking me? Didn't you say you were going to clear this level earlier? Well, come and get me, if you dare."

Shigaraki took a step back in fear.

"Man, this is... intense." Katsuki said in astonishment. 

"As expected." Todoroki said. "There's no reason for us to fight now. He'll handle this."

"Izuku, let's go!" You called out to your green haired friend. "We should regroup with our teachers and the rest of our classmates."

"Yeah. The last thing we wanna do is get taken hostage or get in his way." Kirishima adds.

Izuku didn't reply. He just stared at All Might with a worried expression on his face. Shouldn't he be more confident in your dad's abilities?

"What? Are you scared?" All Might rhetorically asked. 

Shigaraki started to throw a tantrum and profusely scratched his neck. "If only Nomu was here... he'd rush you right now. Pound you into the ground without giving it a second thought." 

"Tomura Shigaraki! Please, do not fret." The mist villian reassured. "Look at him. He has definitely weakened. Nomu's attacks were successful." Shigaraki stopped scratching. "He's on his own. The children appear to be frozen in fear. And look, our underlings are recovering. We likely still have a few minutes before their reinforcements arrive. If you and I work together, we can do this. We haven't missed our chance to kill All Might."

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right." Shigaraki regained his composure. "This is it. We have no choice. We have to do it now. I mean, the big end-boss is right here."

You looked back at the extra villians who were getting back up.

"I think All Might can hold his own against those two main guys." Kirishima said, then he hardens his arms. "Let's make sure these dudes don't hurt anybody else."

You agreed with your fellow red haired friend and got ready to attack.

"Will you be joining us?" Todoroki asked Izuku, who was still looking at All Might. 

Again. Izuku didn't reply. When the main villian rushed at the No.1 Hero, Izuku leapt in to help him.

"Don't you touch All Might. You stupid villian!" He shouted. 

Unfortunately, Shigaraki put his hand through the warp villian to reach Izuku. However, before he could even graze him, Shigaraki's hand was shot. You all looked up and saw the teachers and the principal at the entrance. One by one, the Pro Hero teachers used their Quirks to take down the scoundrels that infiltrated the USJ. One of them was able to shoot at Shigaraki from a distance and injure him. Thirteen tried to suck up the mist villian, but he and Shigaraki warped themselves out of the USJ and escaped.

That day, you and your classmates learned what pros could do. And what they fight against... to keep you all safe. It was a revelation you weren't prepared for. But somehow, you survived. 

"Izuku! All Might! Hey!" You called as you and Kirishima ran to your friend and your father. "Are you guys okay?"

"Sorry, I can't get up." Izuku answers. 

"Hold on! We're coming!" Kirishima called out.

Before you could reach them, a large wall appeared in front of you, blocking your path.

"For your safety, please stay back." Cementoss intervenes. "You two should join your classmates at the front gate. Leave the injured to us, we can take care of them."

"Oh, gotcha. We're on it!" Kirishima says as he puts a hand on your shoulder. "Let's go, Yagi."

You didn't want to leave without making sure that childhood friend and father were alright, but you reluctantly listened to the Pro teacher and left them in the hands of the Pros.

After all the villians were apprehended, excluding the two main villians, the police made sure that you were unharmed and returned all of you to the campus. You found out from your classmates that Iida brought in the reinforcements that saved you. You also found out from the detective that Mr. Aizawa and Thirteen were gavely injured. He said that Mr Aizawa's eyes might be impaired. Luckily, your dad was without any serious injuries. He's being taken care of by Recovery Girl with Izuku. Speaking of Izuku, you can't help but think about his behavior during the incident. You felt like he knew more about your father than you do. Hopefully that's not the case and you're just overthinking things.

"Um, Yagi, where's your necklace?" Jiro asked as you walked back to class with the rest of your classmates. Minus Izuku.

You reached for your neck to reassure Jiro and yourself that your star pendent was safely around your neck. However, you didn't feel the familiar chain around your neck. Dread filled your mind as you realized that you must've lost it somewhere in the USJ while you were fighting the villians. 

"M-my necklace..." You stammered with shaking breath. "It's... it's gone...!"

Elsewhere, Tomura Shigaraki stares at the star necklace with curiosity. He noticed it on the ground before he and Kurogiri escaped, so he decided to take it. After examining it for a while, he realized that it was actually a locket. He opened it, and inside it was a picture of you and your parents. The three of you were smiling and looked like a happy family. You're about five years old on the picture, but Shigaraki can easily tell that it's the same annoying red haired girl with that fire Quirk.... and he easily recognized the Symbol of Peace in that small photo, too.

"Well, well, well..." The young villian smirked as the trinket dangled between his fingers. "Looks like I just required a key item~"
