The Legendary Sensei

Ryuto transmigrated into the world of Naruto and found himself as not only a Chunin teacher at Konoha Ninja School but also a member of the Root organization under Danzo. He felt hopeless. However, at the brink of despair, "The Legendary Sensei System" activated! Now, by taking students and teaching, he could become stronger! Determined not to become a disposable pawn for Danzo, Ryuto dedicated himself to teaching and strengthening both his students and himself. [For the first time, your completed teaching was rated A. You will receive a reward: Mastery of the nature change of fire attribute chakra.] [Your teaching inspired your disciple to work hard, greatly improving their comprehensive strength. You are rewarded with: Sage Mode Body!] Under Ryuto's guidance, his students learned that the village’s enemies might not only be from other great villages but could also be within their own village. They realized that those who preach the Will of Fire may not necessarily act according to it. (This fanfic is based on another fanfic. I really liked the context so, I am rewriting and giving it my take. Many elements are similar but many are different. Thank you)

Chapter 3: Ryuto sensei is a Good Person

After returning home, Ryuto went to the bathroom and stuck out his tongue in front of the mirror.

As Ryuto expected, there was a black curse mark on his tongue, known as the Cursed Tongue Eradication Seal, which is a must for every Root member.

If Ryuto remembers correctly, this curse mark's effect is that if you speak about certain matters, your whole body will be paralyzed and unable to move.

The curse mark set by Danzo naturally includes information about him and Root, so even if a member of the organization is captured or betrays, they cannot leak information.

If it were only that, it would be fine. He didn't intend to leak Root's information to anyone, but Ryuto was worried that this curse mark could be actively controlled by Danzo, which would mean a fatal weakness being controlled.

Ryuto thought carefully, trying to find a way to break the Cursed Tongue Eradication Seal from the original work.

"It seems that besides Danzo's death, there's no other good way."

But after thinking it over, Ryuto realized that no one in the original work managed to break this curse mark. Those who left Root under the Third Hokage's orders might have had it removed, otherwise, it only automatically became ineffective upon Danzo's death.

But Danzo wasn't a fragile character in a MOBA game who would just die in a team fight without attention.

Danzo was extremely cautious about his life, usually staying in the Root base and not venturing out. He might even have resurrection tools on him, making it really difficult to deal with him.

Ryuto considered his current strength and temporarily gave up on the idea of killing Danzo.

"I can only look for Orochimaru or research it myself," Ryuto found that he had only two choices at the moment.

In fact, it could only be considered one choice because he had no way to connect with Orochimaru for now.

Ryuto glanced at the time, feeling it was almost time. He then activated his sensory ninjutsu and sensed Shisui approaching.

Ryuto walked out the door, into the yard, and thought that Danzo seemed to trust the original owner quite a bit since he hadn't sensed any Root ninja monitoring him despite using sensory ninjutsu multiple times.

When he felt Shisui was about to walk in, Ryuto quickly formed hand signs, fully releasing his chakra, and instantly created an eight-meter-high giant fireball, turning the training dummy in the yard into ashes and scorching a large area of ground.

Shisui, who had just walked into the yard, witnessed this shocking scene and was amazed by Ryuto's mastery of fire jutsu.

Although the Great Fireball is only a C-rank fire jutsu, its rank is based on its difficulty to learn. Many Uchiha Jounin love using the Great Fireball.

But Shisui was certain that even the Jounin in his clan couldn't create such a powerful fireball in such a short time because they couldn't convert a large amount of chakra into flames that quickly.

"Sensei, sorry for interrupting your training," Shisui quickly apologized after coming back to his senses.

"It's no bother, I was just finishing up," Ryuto took a deep breath, smiled, and invited Shisui into the house.

"Actually, the current state of the Uchiha clan has a lot to do with your former clan leader, Uchiha Madara," Ryuto poured two cups of water, handed one to Shisui, and started telling the story of the Uchiha.

"You know Uchiha Madara betrayed, right?"

Shisui nodded, "The clan history says the clan leader left Konoha."

"If it were just leaving, things wouldn't be like this," Ryuto explained that if it weren't for Hashirama's strength, Konoha might have been destroyed by Uchiha Madara.

Shisui fell silent.

But Ryuto told Shisui that the matter was far from over.

This event made the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, who already disliked the Uchiha, even more wary of them. So, after becoming Hokage, he made several policies specifically targeting the Uchiha.

These policies angered the Uchiha hawks, who thought of seizing power by force, but were discovered by the ANBU and imprisoned.

These consecutive events gradually overshadowed the Uchiha's past contributions, leading to their negative reputation among the villagers.

"So much has happened..." Shisui realized he had oversimplified things.

"Actually, some Uchiha tried to change this situation, and Uchiha Kagami was the most successful among them," Ryuto shifted the topic to Uchiha Kagami.

"So, Sensei, what do you think of Uchiha Kagami?" Shisui was curious about his grandfather's image in Ryuto's eyes.

He had never met his grandfather but had heard a lot about him from other clan members, such as being powerful and a genius ninja.

"An Uchiha with the Will of Fire, who acted as a bridge between the Uchiha and Konoha, easing the tension between the two," Ryuto said after thinking.

Although Ryuto's words lacked extravagant praise, Shisui felt it was the best and most fitting evaluation he had heard so far.

"I also want to become an Uchiha like my grandfather!" Shisui's eyes were firm, not realizing he had just called him grandfather.

"Grandfather?" Ryuto looked at Shisui in confusion.

Shisui realized his slip, but since he wasn't hiding anything and didn't want to seem ungrateful, he straightforwardly admitted it.

"Sensei, you don't need to worry too much about repaying any favors. Just visit my grandfather's grave when you have time, and I think he would be very happy," Shisui said.

"The favor of saving one's parents cannot go unrepaid. Shisui, would you like to become my disciple?" Ryuto asked.

Shisui understood Ryuto's intention and felt it would be a great honor to have such a knowledgeable and powerful teacher, so he eventually nodded and called out, "Yes, Ryuto Sensei!"

[Would you like to establish a master-disciple relationship with Uchiha Shisui?]

The system prompt immediately appeared, and Ryuto unhesitatingly chose yes. This was a talented disciple he had worked hard to persuade.

[Relationship successfully established. Current trust level: two. Unlocking "Disciple's Growth Returns to Master" and "Teacher's Rewards for Disciples".]

Ryuto read the descriptions and was overjoyed. "Disciple's Growth Returns to Master" meant that as his disciple grew stronger, he would also grow stronger, with the trust level affecting the feedback. At trust level two, it was double return; if Shisui gained one point of chakra, he would gain two points!

"Teacher's Rewards for Disciples" meant that when he gave something to Shisui, the system would randomly return a reward to him. The higher the trust level, the better the reward, and it could be used once per day.

Ryuto thought for a moment, then handed Shisui a booklet.

It was a fire attribute chakra nature transformation training manual he had written in the afternoon, originally prepared to give to Shisui to increase his favorability. Now he wanted to test the reward function.

"This is a training manual I compiled for fire attribute chakra nature transformation. Take it and study it. I will regularly check your progress. As a teacher, I am strict and won't relax the requirements just because of gratitude," Ryuto said sternly.

As Shisui grew stronger, he could grow twice as strong, so Ryuto felt he had to carefully supervise Shisui's training.

"Thank you, Teacher Ryuto. I will train diligently," Shisui said earnestly as he accepted the booklet.

Regarding Ryuto's strict requirements, Shisui didn't see any problem with it. Instead, it showed that Ryuto truly considered him a disciple and not just someone to repay a favor.

[You gave your disciple a nature transformation training manual. Due to your disciple's deep gratitude, you received a bonus reward: Fire Release: Dragon Flame Jutsu (proficient level).]

As he received the reward, a large amount of memory about training the Dragon Flame Jutsu flooded Ryuto's mind, as if he had practiced it thousands of times.

The Dragon Flame Jutsu is a B-rank fire jutsu. Unlike the Great Fireball, which focuses on range, the Dragon Flame Jutsu is more flexible and can be freely controlled to attack the enemy. Once mastered, the hand signs can be simplified to one, and multiple fire dragons can be released simultaneously.

Since the system provided it at the proficient level, Ryuto could now release three fire dragons with just one hand sign.

Ryuto's view of Shisui had changed from seeing him as a person to a gold mine that kept yielding coins every day.

Ryuto noticed that it was getting dark outside and said, "It's getting late. Let me walk you home. Don't worry your family."

"Thank you, sensei. I can walk home slowly by myself. I'm the only one at home now," Shisui waved his hand.

He felt he had troubled Ryuto enough today and didn't want to waste any more of his time.

Upon hearing Shisui's words, Ryuto recalled that Shisui's parents had never appeared, likely having died shortly after Shisui was born.

He realized that neither he nor Shisui had parents, which was quite a coincidence.

"But my uncle often comes to take care of me," Shisui explained, fearing Ryuto might worry.

Ryuto nodded and didn't insist on escorting him. Today was just theirmeeting, and there would be plenty of opportunities to build rapport in the future.

On his way home, Shisui flipped through the training booklet Ryuto had given him. Reflecting on the fire jutsu he had seen earlier, he became even more curious about Ryuto.

As a well-known prodigy in the clan, and given that his grandfather was Uchiha Kagami, Shisui had met many powerful Uchiha. His vision and knowledge far exceeded his peers.

He felt that with Ryuto's strength, he shouldn't just be a Chunin, nor should he be teaching at the Ninja Academy, where the teachers only needed to teach basic techniques like the Three Basic Jutsu.

Watching Shisui's figure gradually disappear into the distance, Ryuto looked forward to tomorrow even more.

Tomorrow, he had classes both in the morning and afternoon. He wondered what rewards he might receive.

Moreover, the afternoon class was with Might Guy and Obito's group. What kind of potential would those two have?
