Chapter 46: Sunset Ride
Skye finished her song, and Tobin’s band took the stage. Aurelie was escorted to the front row where she was joined by her friends and brothers.
It was a night to remember. She sang along with Anna, often becoming choked up with tears. Tobin and his band played flawlessly, and for the first time, Aurelie could really appreciate the dynamics within the group.
Tyson was steady, with a ready smile. Adrian was laid-back, but cheerful. Jace was all smiles, winks and nods. He was fun. When she looked at Tobin, Aurelie could see his passion, his love of playing for the crowd and releasing his soul through music. She felt like she learned more about the band in a few hours than all the time she had spent with them before.
Tobin caught Aurelie’s eye.
“I’ll call you later,” he mouthed, then burst into a powerful guitar solo.
