Chapter 38: In Love with a Music Man
There was yet another huge photo on the front of the daily newspaper.
Groaning inwardly, Aurelie slowly picked up the paper and unfolded it. To her surprise, the photo was not of Tobin or herself, but of Brian. He was being escorted by security guards away from the stage. Briefly scanning the article, Aurelie exhaled in relief.
Brian had been arrested for his concert outburst.
“Brian Edwards was retained overnight and will appear in court for his attempted assault of Select Hospitality’s lead guitarist, Tobin Moray,” Aurelie read aloud. “It seems Edwards was involved in a love triangle between Moray and Aurelie Hawkins.”
She snorted. “A love-triangle? I would say it’s more like a ‘stalking.’”
It turned out, Brian had tried to hit Tobin with a beer bottle and other garbage. He had continued ranting about Tobin and Aurelie long after the security guards had pulled him from the concert floor.
“Edwards eventually was released to return to court at a future date.”
