Chapter 31: Scandal Rising
Tobin stood still in the doorway, holding the daily newspaper.
“Ross is going to have a field day with this one,” he said bitterly.
Aurelie grabbed her car keys and came to Tobin’s side. She looked down and gasped.
“Lead Guitarist Lives Up To His Rough Reputation,” read the paper’s headline.
Quickly, Aurelie scanned the article. As she read, her mouth dropped lower and lower.
“Oh, goodness,” she breathed. “That reporter must have done a lot of digging.”
The article reported on the incident with Aurelie and Tobin in front of the stadium the night of the recent concert, and it also had reports from two other fans as well as Morissa. Since Aurelie had refused to give any information, the reporter used most of Morissa’s and the other fans' stories.
“Is there anything you can do?” Aurelie asked Tobin. “Morissa is lying! The video shows it.”
