Chapter 15: The Media Falls In Love
“Tomorrow” brought many things for Aurelie.
There was the newspaper with another photo of Tobin and Aurelie stepping out of The Golden Swan, holding hands and looking at each other. There was also the news at the barn that Chester would make a full recovery, but was to be put up for sale as he could no longer handle the long, extensive show days.
“Aurelie,” Brian stopped her as she came into the barn that morning. “Can you sign my newspaper?”
“You must be joking, Brian,” Aurelie scoffed. “I’m not famous.”
“But you are dating a rockstar, and that’s close enough,” Brian smiled. “You are getting closer to being an international rider too.”
Aurelie rolled her eyes, but took her fellow rider’s paper and signed below the photo.
“He’s a little creepy,” Anna whispered once she and Aurelie were alone.
Aurelie shrugged. “Maybe he’s just starstruck. He did brush shoulders with Select Hospitality’s lead guitarist.”
Anna looked over her shoulder. “Maybe.”
