Chapter 13: The Deep End
“Anna, I need your help,” Aurelie walked into the barn the next day and saw her friend getting ready to ride.
“Oh?” Anna replied. “What could you possibly need help with?”
“I was asked to go to The Golden Swan with a certain someone, and don’t have anything to wear,” Aurelie smiled at her friend’s gasp. “What stores would you recommend to get a suitable outfit?”
Anna was jumping up and down, “Oh my goodness, Aurie! When is the dinner?”
“Tomorrow,” Aurelie said.
“Well, all the really good stores are on the other side of the city.” Anna leaned against her horse and pondered. She tapped her chin before smiling.
“I have the perfect dress! I only wore it once and you can borrow it. You’ll look amazing!” Anna spoke excitedly.
