GRANDFATHER'S CABIN

Leon unconsciously rubs the back side of his neck, and still felt a slight pain exactly on the birthmark.

Imazz was still waiting for Leon to give him a straight answer. Leon knew that there is no way he could hide the truth from him, because how he got the information concerning the pain at the back side of his neck is unknown to him, so Leon believes he knows a lot that he need to learn from him. Leon admitted frankly nodding his head, still massaging the back side of his neck.

Don't worry Leon, those pains will eventually go away and the nightmares will stop, Imazz said smirkingly.

How did you got to know about the pain at my nape?

It's kind of weird to me, because I have never shared it to anyone except my fiance.

Don't be in a rush Leon, one at a time. We Adini's always have a way of knowing things. Or should I just say, we are gifted with such. Don't tell me you don't have such capabilities too Leon, cause it runs in our blood.

Zali had already finished serving dinner, and invited them over to the table. Imazz and Leon didn't wait for them to be invited for the second time, they can't withstand the sweet aroma that came from her cooking.

Zali, no one can resist the magic of your cooking, not even a monk. I can give anything just to have a taste of your delicious food, Imazz said with praises for Zali.

Thank you so much Mazz, you are always fond of praising my cooking. I thought you would have been over it by now, she said mockingly.

Leon, tell me what do you think? Having tasted her food since you arrived, doesn't she makes a gourmet cook.

Leon had to admit, Zila's cooking is amazing and tastes like is not of this world. He had also wanted to compliment her, but never did had the chance to. Now his uncle wants to hear his own opinion, and not forgetting Zila, who is also waiting eagerly to hear Leon's judgment.

Frankly speaking aunt Zila, you are a fantastic cook. Uncle Imazz is absolutely right about you to be a gourmet cook.

Zila was excitingly flattered and couldn't help but chuckles with a smile, but her excitement didn't last long on her face. She tries to put herself in control, as if she realized something.

Izmazz also adjusted himself and concentrates on the fish soup in front of him, not minding to talk to Zila and Leon.

"Leon noticed that aunt Zila was trying so hard in avoiding eye contact with uncle Imazz, since he came into the house. It was as if both were hiding something. Leon wasn't sure if his instinct was correct or not, but time will tell he thought, he didn't allow that to bother him either, he also faced the food in front of him and continue eating."

After they are done having dinner, Imazz thanked Zali and decides to take his leave. He told Leon that he will be passing the night at grandfather's cabin, and demanded that he will be expecting him come over to meet him at the cabin very early the next morning. Leon agreed to meet him on time tomorrow, after all it's just a stone throw from the family house to grandfather's cabin.

As soon as uncle Imazz left, Leon felt a kind of relief with himself, he is not the type that likes to be closely monitored and uncle Imazz make's him feel that way. Asides, uncle Imazz seems to know so much about him, and also possesses a very strong domineering gaze. It is just the beginning Leon thought, every piece of answer to the puzzles will fall into place, he concluded.

Zali showed Leon to his room, a very spacious room with a separate door that led to a balcony outside and with two large windows facing the east.

Leon admired the interiors of his room, it was a modern design, blended with a medieval interior ideas. The room felt a lot cozy for Leon, who couldn't wait and threw himself on the bed as soon as Zali left. This is the first time he is actually feeling completely relaxed since he arrived from the city.

He checks his wristwatch for time, and it's shows 8:30 pm already. What a day! Leon said to himself and brought out his phone to call Jane. He knew she will be expecting to hear from him and wouldn't want to disturb him thinking he may still busy and will definitely call her when he is less busy.

The weather at the city hasn't really changed that much, it had been drizzling since morning and the atmosphere is slightly windy and cold. Jane had suddenly gotten flu because of the weather, she could only wrap herself in a blanket, trying so hard to concentrate on the local news showing on the flat screen television, but only ends up missing Leon.

She immediately lightens up when she saw his incoming call. They were happy to finally had the time to talk to each other. Leon hinted her about his encounter with uncle Imazz, and how he is going to meet him at grandfather's cabin early in the morning, but he didn't tell her about him knowing the pain he felt at his nape. After a long chat, Jane agrees to let Leon rest for the day, since he is going out early in the morning to meet his uncle.

Leon was at his grandfather's cabin very early next morning as promised and had been knocking at the front door and calling out to uncle Imazz for almost five minutes now without any response from him. He wondered if uncle Imazz is still inside or probably gone out before he arrived.

Leon turns the door handle to see if it was locked, but was surprised to see that the door wasn't locked at all. He steps inside, calling on uncle Imazz, and still no answer yet. He began hearing some voices coming from the study room. He gently moves closer to the study and quietly placed his ear at the door to listen, but wasn't quite sure who it was and calls on his uncle again.

Uncle Imazz is that you! I have been around for over ten minutes! Are you busy in there?

There were still no response from uncle Imazz, and the voices getting a little softer. He pressed his ear hard on the door hoping to hear clearly but didn't realise when his bodyweight pushed the door ajar.
