Mattias is having a particularly bad luck streak. An unforeseen crisis arose on his first day in charge of assuming command of Doli. He, along with the rest of the Merapi, stood in front of the forest, staring at the devastation. Dry woodlands were razed to the ground. All of the fallen trees tumbled to the ground, creating a mountain of branches. The forest was a complete wreck. Furthermore, the previously dry and barren area had become wet, as if it had been rained on.

Not only that, but from beginning to end, the citizens of Doli talked about the incident, which had spread to every corner of the country. Merapi promptly sealed the woodland area and its surrounds, preventing anyone from approaching while information from the damaged forest was being gathered.

"Can you tell me exactly what happened?" Mattias had enquired of the others.

"Almost all of us heard a rumbling sound emanating from this place that night, the night before His Majesty's visit," Erick explained. "All of the soldiers who had received the timetable went to this location. When they first came, one of them testified that they witnessed the forest being devastated, and damp and that they also spotted three Merapi lying helpless on the ground."

"Can you tell me where the three Merapi are?" Mattias inquired, his gaze fixed on the general.

"Two are dead, one appears to be severely traumatized."

Mattias rubbed his temples. "Erick, what do you think happened to us now?"

Erick answered, "Danger." He was gazing Mattias dead in the eyes. "The Rain Clan is responsible for everything."

"How do you know you're so certain?"

Without hesitation, Eric nodded. "For decades, I've been serving Dzkarda. I also lived during the time when the Rain Clans were still roaming free and breathing. Twenty years ago, I was also one of those who took part in the struggle against the Rain Clan. And I'm absolutely certain it was their fault. They have the ability to send tsunamis from the ground."

"However, the Rain Clan has already vanished." Mattias was still attempting to reason. Because all he knows is that the Rain Clan is no longer extant, and their stories have only been passed down down the generations as noble legends.

"That's all we have." Erick shifted his gaze to Merapi as a whole. "All we know about them, and all I know about them, is that they perished after the war. The Rain Clans sank their own islands and settlements, killing the majority of humanity. However, I believe there was a Rain Clan outside of the island during the conflict."

"Your Majesty, we must take action," Erick continued. "He can eliminate all of us."

Mattias squinted as the sunshine blinded him, frowning in astonishment. "Are you certain? What if everything is due to natural causes?"

"Impossible, Your Majesty," says the man. Erick shook his head, indicating that he, too, was perplexed.

Mattias sighed, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his regal robes, perplexed. "Call the scientists, the forest experts, and ask them to find a way to make sense of it all."

Erick cocked his head to the side. astonished. "It's self-evident, Your Majesty. This is the case—"

To silence Erick, Mattias lifted his hand. The man was hesitant to listen to the general's words any longer. "Do as I say," says the prince.

Even though Erick didn't seem to agree with anything, he chose to nod. "Your Majesty, you may proceed. So, Your Majesty, what are your plans for this forest?"

Mattias inhaled deeply. Confused. He returned his gaze to Erick after gazing at the destroyed woodland. Mattias was once again hushed. What will he do with this property? Matthias was perplexed. He didn't have much experience, and he certainly didn't expect this to happen.

"Can you make any recommendations?"

Eric paused for a while to consider his options. "Perhaps we can use the branches to build a tent, barracks, or stables."

Mattias smiled, knowing exactly what was going on. "Please gather all of Merapi to trim one meter of branches. Then distribute them to those who require these wood branches."

Erick was taken aback and looked at Mattias with astonishment. "Your Majesty, that costs us."

Mattias once again lifted his hand to silence Erick. "Do as I say. Erick, this is their land. They are completely deserving of everything."

"If you find out about this, your Majesty the King will be furious." Mattias had been cautioned by Erick. He was fully aware of their king's personality. He is cruel to his colonized countries, and he despises his warriors the most, as well as his family if helps them.

"It doesn't matter to me." Mattias approached the white-haired man. "Erick, we have colonized them. We would be committing a sin if we did not give them what is legitimately theirs."

Erick was about to respond when they were approached by two young men clothed in white woolen shirts with gold embroidered threads. He was the king's servant who had been assigned to Mattias. Their names are Namir and Namar, and they are twins. They were two years younger than Mattias and they have black hair and black eyes. They were regular people who lived west of Dzkarda.

"Your Majesty, you haven't had breakfast since you woke up," Namar informed him.

Mattias sighed, indicating that he had not yet eaten breakfast. With everything that had happened on his first day on the job, Mattias' thoughts were too frenzied. This is only the beginning; Mattias may forget to eat and forget how to be joyful in the future.

"I need to eat breakfast," says the narrator. Erick bid Mattias farewell.

Eric bowed and lowered his head. "Your Majesty, I beg you. To develop endless power, fill your energy with all of the meals supplied. I'm free to leave at any time for you."

Erick moved among the crowd of Merapi people who were staring at the shapeless woodland after Mattias nodded.

"I'm hoping Prince Lapetus will take the reins."

Erick's statements to the other soldiers caught Mattias off guard. He cocked his head, his gaze falling on Erick's back as he moved away. Mattias was unfazed, but his heart was ripped apart. Mattias is definitely frail, helpless, and feeble, but that is the one thing that distinguishes him. Erick was a natural speaker in front of the Prince, but it didn't appear as lovely behind him as Mattias had imagined.

"Your Majesty," says the Namar. Mattias had died, but Namir had revived him. "Come on."

Mattias went away irritably after nodding. Again, he was concerned. Again, he was perplexed. Why does his mindset differ so much from that of his peers? What makes Mattias stand out among his siblings? Mattias is insecure, naive, and weak. Michael and the royals directly forged Lapetus, who is ruthless. Fedyor, Tekyo, and the old texts in his library shaped Mattias, forcing him to rely on his mind rather than his ego.

Mattias shouted, "Namar, Namir." They were now going in a horse-drawn carriage to the barracks, where they were eating in Mattias' tent. On the right and her side are Namar and Namir.

The twins spoke in unison, "Servant, Your Majesty."

"You're orphans, aren't you?" Namar and Namir did nothing except nod. "Have you ever gone to school or received a formal education?"

Namar and Namir exchanged a few quick glances before shaking their heads. "Your Majesty, servants should not practice, study, or get substantial education. Furthermore, we are simply human, not Binturi."

Mattias chewed on his index finger while resting his elbows on his thighs. "How do you feel about our country's colonization of Doli?"

The twins exchanged glances for the second time.

"To tell you the truth," Mattias continued.

"Excuse me, Your Majesty," Namar said. Namar drew his brows together and lowered his head as low as he could. "We're simply servants; we shouldn't share our thoughts or feelings."

Mattias gave a nod of agreement. He is aware of both parties' positions. Everything is regulated by the state, so the waiter should not talk excessively. As long as he speaks and expresses his opinion, everything is fine. "Personally, I despise colonialism. I wouldn't want to if it wasn't for my father's encouragement. I'd rather be in a horse stable than in a colony, seeing everyone suffer."

Mattias' statements caught the twins by surprise. There was a swirl of grief in his words, which were gentle and penned.

Mattias exchanged glances with Namar and Namir. "I want to bring peace and justice to the world. Everyone should have the same privileges as the royal family, in my opinion. I want everyone to have the opportunity to go to school, receive an education, and speak freely without fear. You, servants, are included."
