Nathan Beardsley smiled with his hands on his waist, on the concrete path, watching Alina step closer to him. At first, he was about to pick up Alina to the Research Facility, halfway through, he had seen the figure who for the past two days had been the cause of his thoughts drifting to heaven.
But, like there was something else about that girl right now. The twilight could not give more to Alina's face, which seemed to be burdened by one very heavy thing. Nathan could see it all.
"Hey," Alina greeted and hid her confused thoughts from Nathan's eyes.
Nathan laughed softly, he wrapped his arms around Alina's shoulders, past her back, pulled Alina closer to him, then kissed her head warmly.
Alina closed her eyes, trying to smile to be able to absorb Nathan's kiss on her head.
With more relaxed steps, they approached the villa.
"What is it?"
