As the giant frog was peppered by a myriad of spells, all of which failed to pierce it, it scanned its surroundings for suitable targets. Finally, thousands of Ranks 5 Flying Winged Panthers, Hammer Bisons, and Vile Butchers stormed through the hole around the Toad Overlord.
The defenders were overwhelmed as they were thrown into a gigantic melee; vile butchers served as the ranged attackers. They destroyed the fortifications and assassinated the Krisent battalion by the hundreds.
As all this was going on, tactical commands were being ordered by the squad captains. However, the situation only improved when the various squads were instructed to move as a battalion.
Thalia used the communications array as she moved the entire battalion into a tactical retreat.
