(10 minutes before Zod's message to the world)
(Triskelion, Washington D.C)
The doors opened with force as Fury entered the command center of the Triskelion.
His black coat swayed behind him as he made his way to the command center, Alexander Pierce followed behind Fury, though unlike the spy he was visibly sweating, his nervousness visible to all.
The command center was abuzz with movement, papers were shuffling about, people were running everywhere and nowhere, some were shouting orders, or instructions, some were even praying.
Fury ignored all that and with firm steps walked in front of a gigantic screen at the back of the room, placing himself firmly next to his second in command Maria Hill, who looked to be staring quite intensely at the gigantic screen in front of her.
"Sir" Maria Hill acknowledged Fury's presence with a nod.
"What am I looking at?" he asked not even looking at her.
His eye, like the majority of others in the room, were superglued to the gigantic screen towards the back of the room.
Staring unblinking. Worried.
Pierce, who was right next to Fury cleaned his glasses nervously before opening his mouth and asking.
"Asteroid? Comet? " He asked still not believing what he was seeing.
"Well for one, I'm pretty sure neither asteroids nor comets look like this" Clint Barton answered Pierce from where he was sitting, referring to the black like flying object that most definitely didn't look like an asteroid nor a comet.
"And they don't make course corrections either, sir." Natasha Romanoff added sitting right next to Clint.
Fury looked at both Clint and Natasha waiting for them to elaborate.
Natasha did by typing something on one of the keyboards, pulling up images on the big screen showing a clear image of a gigantic black ship floating in front of the moon.
"Fuck" Was what Alexander Pierce said once he saw that ship.
Unknowingly voicing what everyone was thinking at the time.
Fury unblinkingly looked at Natasha.
"The ship appears to have inserted itself into a lunar synchronous orbit, though we have no idea why, sir." Natasha said knowing what Fury was silently asking of her.
General Ross who was also in the room decided that now was a good time to speak his thoughts.
"I know why! They are looking for something! Probably looking for the best place to start their invasion! We should nuke them while we still have the chance! They are still in orbit we could send a nuke their way an-" General Ross was cut off by Nick Fury shooting him in the leg with his revolver which had a sleeping dart instead of a normal round in it.
Effectively silencing him.
No one said anything to that, ignoring the thump that was heard when General Ross fell on the floor unconscious.
Rather they watch the images in silence. No one said a word or made a peep. They didn't know what they were seeing or what they should do. Hell, they didn't even know what to say.
Everyone felt like a hand was pressed firmly on their throat, choking them out of air. They didn't know who was in the thing, but all of them had a very very bad feeling about it.
"Have you tried… communicating with it?" Pierce asked looking at Natasha
Natasha sighed before answering.
"They haven't responded, sir," She said, before sighing again "Not as of yet"
Fury didn't think they would, or when they did, they wouldn't like what they had to say in the least.
The ship was placed directly over multiple satellites; their satellites. They didn't catch them because their satellites were that good, but because they wanted to be seen.
But why?
Do they think that they have enough power to utterly destroy us if their intention was to invade?
Did they think the element of surprise was not needed here?
"This is just a speculation" Nick Fury said everyone paying attention to him immediately.
"But I think that whoever is at the helm of that thing is looking to make a dramatic entrance," Fury stated, his eye still fixed at the screen.
And as if to prove his point, the lights went out in the room, something that is supposed to be impossible since the Triskelion had backup generators and a separated power grid given the importance of the place. Every computer screen in the room filled with static, including the big screen at the back, where they were watching the ship.
The people in the room typed desperately, trying to get control of their computers back.
"It's on my phone too!" A random agent exclaimed looking at his cellphone only to see the screen just like the rest of the computers, his fellow agents were doing the same, their faces were laced with terror
Again, not something that just happened; someone was doing this and they had a pretty good idea who.
Then, suddenly, a form appeared on every screen; the silhouette of a face.
"My name is General Zod."

(Forks, Washington)
(Present Time)
"Ahh shit" Alexandria exclaimed.
Edythe looked at Alexandria confused.
She knew that something big had just happened.
Phones don't usually broadcast a message like that randomly nor do they sparkle and explode suddenly when the phone was just fine a minute ago.
She understood what the message was basically saying, but she was just confused with the entire situation.
Alexandria shuffled to her feet, before offering her hand to Edythe.
Accepting her hand Edythe was pulled back to her feet and stood next to Alexandria
"Alexandria what's going on?" Edythe asked.
Alexandria sighed before answering her question.
"A fucked up situation" Alexandria responded
"That's not what I asked" Was what Edythe said.
Alexandria sighed for what felt like the millionth trillionth time
She ran a hand through her hair before pulling Edythe into a hug with hands on her waist, causing Edythe to squeak in surprise.
"Wha-" Edythe began before she was interrupted.
"Hold tight" Alexandria said before flying off.

(New York City)
(United Nations Headquarters)
The world was going insane, people around the world were panicking.
The most advanced systems in the planet were bypassed by the alien ship without offering any resistance at all. S.H.I.E.L.D was hacked, NSA was hacked, KGB, CIA, the armies across the globe, spy agencies, The fucking pentagon was hacked.
Every single TV, computer and cellphone in every country in the whole world. All were hacked,
They broadcasted a message.
Different languages perhaps but the same message.
We are not alone
Some were outright refusing to believe what was going on.
People were calling this an elaborate hoax used by the government to cause discord.
Some were thinking that some hackers were doing this just for the shits and giggles.
And some were even trying to pull religion into this.
Reports were coming from all over the world, about riots, and mass suicides happening.
Religious figures like the pope held live conferences urging the people to take this seriously, and not to panic.
Something needed to be done.
Right now in the empty United Nations Headquarters, only the president of the United States, General Ross, Nick Fury, and Alexandre Pierce were sitting there physically, with the rest of the countries heads who were apart of the United Nations were shown on monitors where they were supposed to be sitting.
The president looked at the people gathered both physically and virtually before speaking.
"My friends, today marks the day that will change everything we know about our current world. We now know without any conceivable doubt that we are not alone in this universe." The president started with everyone listening with rapt attention.
The president sighed before continuing
"Unfortunately our visitors do not come in peace. This 'General Zod" has stated quite clearly that if he doesn't receive this 'Alexan-El" in 24 hours he will attack Earth as a whole." The president made eye contact with every person in the room both physically and virtually before continuing.
"Unfortunately we cannot wait for this "Alexan-El" to hand themselves over, that's if they even existed. The risk is too high for us to just wait around for some savior to save. We aren't just talking about the lives and well being of our individual countries but the world as a whole. That's why on advice from my counsel and after repeated attempts of contacting the ship without any success the United States of America has decided to launch several atomic bombs towards the ship whilst it's still in orbit. But we do not know the capabilities of this ship or whether or not it could tank an atomic bomb or even multiple. This is the reason why I called this meeting in place. I ask of you people of Earth lend us your help against this foe." The president finished looking worn out after doing so, not even mustering the effort to look dignified-like he usually did.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
(30 Minutes after)
"Sir, that's the wrong decision," Fury said after the meeting at the UN concluded.
Right now Fury and the President were in a private room somewhere in the UN headquarters made especially for the president.
Sighing the president looked and Fury and responded.
"I know it is Fury. But it was General Ross and the Councils' decision. I couldn't do shit to combat it. Ha! What a joke the President of the United States didn't even have a say in this" The president laughed pathetically.
After the UN meeting, all 193 countries in the UN agreed to launch nukes towards the ship, with the countries that didn't have nukes to launch warheads instead
"Of course those excuse my language sir, dumb asses would do that. All they care about is their own asses." At here Fury passed before correcting himself.
"Well, the Council just wants to save their asses, General Ross is just a dumbass."
The president just looked at Fury with an eyebrow raised, mentally agreeing with him, before asking Fury a question.
"Do you think this will stop it?" He questioned
Fury sighed something he and everyone have been doing frequently ever since this clusterfuck situation occurred before answering.
"No. No, I don't."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
(An hour after the UN meeting)
General Zod of Krypton stood in front of a big window on the ship's bridge motionless watching, staring at the big blue planet.
He stood stoic, emotionless, his face was set in stone.
His eyes however was another story.
They were sad, longing, angry, they even had envy in them.
Eyes of a man that lost everything.
Lost who he is.
Lost his life.
Lost his soul.
Lost everything he loved.
Lost his world.
He failed. He failed his people. He failed his world.
He was born to be the pillar of strength. He was born to lead, he excelled at it even.
His home was safe under his protection and the protection of the army he had trained.
But how do you save something, people who actively pursue their own destruction?
They were warned.
Jor-El warned them of what was coming. The Sun. Their sun. Rao himself was going to swallow them whole.
Yet….yet they ignored him. All because Krypton was led by a council of cowards.
So blind, and arrogant. Too scared to admit what was happening, that they choose to ignore the threat to their own livelihoods, and the lives of their people, the ones they were supposed to protect.
And by doing so they doomed their people driving them towards extinction
Krypton was gone, and Kryptonians were an endangered species.
Well, maybe not; not if Zod had anything to say about it, at least.
Because even if they didn't have a planet anymore, even if they were the last Kryptonians alive, there was still a chance; as long as the Codex survived, there was the possibility to start over.
A chance to make things better than they were before, to cleanse the corrupt bloodlines who destroyed their planet.
And he would see to it.
Fate had led them to Earth, Zod could see it now.
The Long Search ended when a beacon was lit, illuminating the path in the dark space.
Towards this blue planet.
And he knew who was on this planet.
The only member left from the House of El: Alexan-El.
The daughter of the man who warned them. The man he respected above all others.; the man whose death was on his hands and his conscience.
The one to whom Jor-El had entrusted his people's salvation, the Growth Codex, the genetic register of all Kryptonian people; the one thing he needed to save his race.
Alexan-El would either stand by his side or stand under his boot. There was no alternative. It pained him to kill Jor-El; and he was sure it would pain him to kill his friend's daughter. But as always, Krypton came first.
He hoped Alexan-El could see it.
"General, they are amassing their forces as we wait," said Faora-Ul, his sub-commander, from behind him.
"Are they?" Zod asked, without turning.
"Yes, sir. It won't make a difference, of course, but I found something I think it might interest you."
He turned to look at her, knowing by now that if Faora had found something she considered worth his attention, it was because it was.
"Our scout drones picked up an astronomical energy signature coming from Earth. After further investigation, we were able to pinpoint where the energy signature was located, and getting a picture of it"
She guided him to the monitor of liquid goo and waved her hand turning the liquid geo a picture The picture showed a bald woman with a necklace in the shape of an eye dangling on her chest.
The necklace seemed to glow in some otherworldly green light.
"Is that…" Zod began not believing what he was seeing.
"An Infinity stone" Faora confirmed what Zod was thinking.
Zod looked at Faora and ordered.
"Keep an eye on her, we will go retrieve the infinity stone once the 24 hours are over or Alexan-El turns herself in." He ordered
Faora went to respond but suddenly the ship lights turned red and an alarm blared indicting that something wrong Is happening.
Zod turned and ran towards the center console to see what went wrong, before going to pull a screen that would've showed the outside of the ship.
However, he was interrupted from doing so when multiple objects impacted the ship.
And their world was engulfed in fire.
