His karma just got worse upon anything he had his hands on. "WAIT A MINUTE! I can call Azahii, and he can vouch for me! Then I can get my job back."
He quickly took his phone out and dialed Azahii's number.
RING RING!!
"Hello, This is Azahii. I don't want to talk to you, so leave a message."
Beep!
"Azahii! It's me, Gaiyato. Can you vouch for me with Sir Williams Pluto? I lost my job, and things have gone haywire since then. So please can you-"
"No can do..."
"!!!"
Gaiyato was startled as Azahii appeared behind him. "A-Azahii? What are you doing here?"
Azahii then took out the contract renewal. Gaiyato took it and skimmed to the bottom. "…rejected?"
"That's what I get for posing as dead for the past nine years…" Azahii said, but he didn't seem too bothered by it.
Gaiyato finally lost all hope. His final chance to make any income was banished away in the form of Azahii.
"Let's go for a walk to clear your mind a little," Azahii suggested.
So they went through the city and strolled around to the central square. All the citizens were still in support of Gaiyato but were worried that his inability to control his prowess would plummet his chances of getting the job of a human. This time, he wasn't getting the sudden fame he had before; instead, people were walking normally and doing their best to avoid eye contact.
"What happened to the city all of a sudden?" Azahii asked.
"…I caused three major disasters on my first normal jobs…Now, I am seen as a dead eye to normality." He responded.
"I don't believe it. Gaiyato, the world's strongest ronin…yet the sh*ttiest human that can't do the simplest of jobs."
"Oh, come on! The only reason I can't control my moves is because my coat had my restrainer on it… I forgot it by mistake."
"Idiot. Why was it in your coat on the first plate."
"Well, it's because-"
"Those who leave it on their clothing tell you they won't take it off."
Martin finished his sentence with Gaiyato's restrainer in his hand. "I saw all your attempts on the internet. You're even more famous than before." He said.
"Martin… it's good to see you," Gaiyato said, and he received his restrainer. "You could have at least given it to me BEFORE all of this!"
"Nah, SHADES just didn't have the time to do so after your circus act! I was getting an earful from Sir Williams because of your arrogance!"
"Wait…you were there when they fired him? Cold…" Azahii asked.
"YOU'RE ONE TO TALK!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!" They both shouted at him.
"I have my reasons; fight me if you want!"
They both just shook their heads and kept walking. "So, what are you going to do, Gaiyato?"
He looked at Martin when he asked, scratching his head.
"Now that I think about it, being a fighter is the only thing I'm good at besides home chores. But they don't allow ronins to become boxers or fighters due to our pain tolerance. Guess I'll have to keep finding and failing-"
Suddenly, Gaiyato was interrupted by cheers in front of them. Sir Williams Pluto was giving a speech after so long being out of the city. "What's going on there?"
"Sir Williams seems to have opened a conference at the city," Martin responded.
"Wait. But isn't that the Anti-Ronins' old hideout?"
Martin then had a closer look. "Oh, you're right…what is going on there? I thought I made sure that it was inaccessible to the public."
So they decided to get closer and listen as well.
"Many years have passed, and most of us could only dream of returning to Legon City. But after our 18th apprehension, I can finally say that WE HAVE OUR CITY BACK!"
The citizens began to cheer him on.
"Tch…same kids you tried to kill yourself…" Gaiyato softly said.
"Be quiet. Someone might hear you." Martin warned him.
"I heard him.." Azahii said, but they both exhaled and kept listening.
"But the most important thing at hand is the safety of the people! Yesterday's incident with the demoniac that appeared from the ground tells us that the enemy has not given up completely. So I have a plan at hand."
A man came and stood next to Sir Williams. The parents cheered when they recognized him, but most teenagers did not.
"I assume some of our citizens remember this man?" Martin asked.
Gaiyato and Azahii both looked at Martin out of shock. "You don't know this guy?!"
"Look, I get it. You guys are past my age, but keep in mind I was born during this whole-"
"What do you mean by past your age? I'm only 26." Gaiyato said as he began to build up spiritas.
"I'm 28, so you should both respect me," Azahii said.
"SEE WHAT I MEAN?! Don't forget I am only 22, so yes…I don't know this guy."
They kept arguing about their age, which caught the crowd's attention. The man then saw Gaiyato and Azahii in the crowd.
"Gaiyato? Azahii? I haven't seen you two in ages. Come join me on the stage."
They both froze until they built the courage to walk up in front of everyone. "Ah, it is you two! You guys have not changed at all. Gaiyato is still an over-confident baby man, and you, Azahii, a druggy! AHAHAHAHA!!"
"Oi, old man, don't say that about me in front of everyone!" They both exclaimed.
He cleared his throat and looked at the people.
"Well, back to formality. My name is Mr. Tie Ken-tuck Goldin, and I was the first principal of this school 18 years ago. These two with me were elementary kids then, and they were and are the top students in combat class."
Gaiyato rubbed his nose with a smirk while Azahii stared at him. "But what I wanted to discuss today is not about them, but my school's grand opening!! RED STAR HIGH IS UP AND RUNNING ONCE AGAIN!"
HOORAY!
The citizens applauded the great news of the one school that built an average fighter into a well-trained warrior on the battlefield.
"This school is open to everyone except those with a guild. Human or ronin, you are all welcome to test your luck and endurance to become one of us! So without further ado, we welcome you to Legon City's RED STAR HIGH!!"
TIE!! TIE!! TIE!! TIE!!
Everyone rejoiced after the return of what was once the most prestigious school in the world. Mr Tie built the institution that held many greats of its time, like all the members of the F5, Rebirth, and Gaiyato himself.
"Whoa. That is actually great news, Sir." Martin said as he joined them on stage.
"Oh, you look new. I don't recognize you…so young…" Mr Tie said to him.
"Err…My name is Martin Unmei Destiny. I'm a friend of Gaiyato and Azahii."
"Ah, I see. Well, thank you very much. But I'm afraid this will not be easy to do and succeed."
Gaiyato and Azahii did not understand. "Why would it be a problem sensei-?"
Mr Tie's nose began to bleed when he heard Gaiyato call him his sensei. "COUGH!! He called me senpai-"
"I DID NOT CALL YOU THAT!!"
He wiped off the blood and then cleared his throat. "Staff members, Gaiyato. A school is good to open, but it is pointless if I have to teach a bunch of youngsters at my age. I still have to find qualified members for each subject."
Azahii was staring at Gaiyato, thinking he understood what he meant. "There will be first, second, and third years, depending on their experience. But they will all have the same subjects, which get more complex as they rank up throughout their years. That will be English, Japanese, human and ronin biology, sports sciences, combat training, and fighting style training."
"So what you are saying, Sir, is…your employees have to be good at one of those subjects?" Martin asked.
"Most precisely! Why…do you have someone in mind? If so, then I am all ears."
Gaiyato smiled while holding his chin. "…Combat…Fighting…Fighting!"
