A Plan.

Princess Arabella's Pov.

I was shocked by what I heard. They wanted me but for what? I did not hear them anymore because of the distance.

After some minutes, they asked the guards to search the palace and find me. I wondered if I became a reason for this crisis or if this was just a way to punish my father and kingdom.

It happens sometimes and a treaty is reached so the captured will be released.

The man was very handsome but he looked like a Prince. I did want anything that has to do with royalty. I wanted a simple man.

"They are going to the palace to search for you, my lady," Liza was so scared. I was too. If they get to my parents, I don't know what will happen. When I think of my siblings, my pulse almost ceased.

I have to come up with an excellent plan that would not be foolish at the end of the day.

"I will think of a plan," I removed my armor and leaned against the broken wall. I tried to come up with a brilliant plan but my heart had many thoughts. So many things to think of.

Liza was not much worried because my plans always work. I just needed time to come up with one now.

I looked outside through the broken walls. The soldiers will soon march towards the palace.

No idea came. I closed my eyes tightly and rubbed my face with my hands. Why today of all day? My head hurt a lot.

Something suddenly came even though it was the most stupid plan ever. I checked if my pocket knife was still intact.

I dashed out of the building towards the soldiers and Liza shouted "My princess."

Exactly what I wanted her to do. They all knew I was the princess…and no need to go to the palace to look for me. My parents were safe.

I fell after a few distance so that the soldiers will catch up with me. They were surprised that I would be caught easily. Nevertheless, none of them knew my plan.

"Ouch," I faked it when they drew closer. The commander who was Roland stopped them from coming close. A wise man he was.

My face was down while I sat on the floor with my buttocks.

"Who are you?" he asked, trying his best to see what my face looks like.

Damnnn! Liza just called me princess- was he deaf? If he was then there is no reason for him to be at the war front.

I did not answer his question. After a few seconds, Liza was dragged to kneel next to me. She quickly hugged me, saying "My lady, are you alright?"

Her tears fell on my hand. 'I'm sorry, Liza. I just hope someday you will forgive me for dragging you into this mess' I whispered, but I doubt if she heard me.

The blonde haired squatted before me. He smelled of a strong perfume even though he was at the war front.

He brought his hand forward and lifted my chin. His eyes widened and he gazed at me intensely before dropping it.

My startled eyes widened, locked in a frozen gaze, I trembled a little and stopped as soon as he let go.

He stood up quickly and ordered the soldiers "We are taking her and the maid girl."

"Yes sir," they chorused.

Like air, the soldiers flew to our side and began to do their duties. Chains were locked on my ankles and wrist, alongside Liza's. She was still crying when I looked at her. If only she knew what I have done, these tears will be mixed with joy.

We were taken to board a ship immediately. Commander Roland did not want me to spend a minute on my land. I did not weep like the child they all thought I was. Even though Liza was older, she cried her heart out while I stayed with the tears in my eyes.

When it was evening, the ship began to sail. The men sang, danced, and drank in merriment. For they did not only defeat their enemy, but they also took the precious daughter of the king. I felt quite stupid, but my plan was for the best.

**!

"My lady," I heard my name again. It was the fifth time yet my brain could not ask my eyes to open. I was tired and wanted a rest.

For days we have been sailing. All the men do all night was shout and dance to foreign music. They seemed to worship a different god from ours.

I managed to open my eyes when I felt a cold hand on my wrist. It was strong. Anyone would guess that it had handled swords for years.

It was Commander Roland… eww. It seemed I have to get used to seeing his face every day. He went on one of his knees and asked "Do you want anything, princess?"

I did not want to shout nor yell at anyone but it was Arabella, not another princess who would say no and trembled with fearsome tears in her eyes "Is this how you treat a princess in your place?" I brought forward my hands and showed him the handcuffs. What kind of princess has this? If I was a slave then it would be better if they all address me by that.

"Oh," He stood up and shifted back. Commander Percival was watching at the door, keenly waiting for him to make a mistake. "Is that all?"

"If I don't get to be treated like a princess or even a  human being… don't call me by that title," I warned, relaxing my hands on my lap. They were arching from showing bravery or foolishness.

"You will get all you deserve when we reach Aerendia, princess," He turned and left. Like he knew what he did. My blood boiled within me because my needs were not met. Commander Percival was still at the door. There was this stupid smile that sat on his face the whole time. He enjoyed seeing me suffer for an unknown reason.

I got angry and shouted "What are you looking at? Are they no women in Aerendia? Is this your first of seeing a woman?"

He was surprised that I was bold enough to question him. He came closer and said "I have never seen two beautiful women in handcuffs. Just wait till you get to the capital. You will see what awaits you, little beast."

My lips opened yet no words left it. He did not only scare us, he crushed every little hope we have. I looked at Liza, her chest kept rising and falling. It was a bad idea to include her in my plan. I was selfish.

"I'm so sorry, Liza," I apologized for the first time.

"It's nothing to be sorry about. You are the princess, however, I did not understand why you threw yourself here," her brows furrowed in confusion as she has spoken. Poor Liza, she was lost in the Sahara desert. I have to show her the way. "This did not stop the wall at all."

"Yes, I know," I replied, relaxing my back against the wall. My shoulders were hurting. No one has ever successfully made me sit for hours without moving my body. Kudos to Commander Roland, he broke records "I did this to save those at the palace. It was important, dear."

She let out a long sigh and smiled "You let me cry for nothing. It made these bastards happy."
