The Banshee

Val stared at Sang for a while, apart from the occasional scream of people being devoured, it was silent.

Then, she broke out into laughter. "You take down the barrier out of spite and then ask for help? What did you expect me to do, jump up and say 'ok'?"

"Let me rephrase, help me, that's an order."

The wolves approached her in a passive aggressive manner.

"You think we will help y... Of course we'll help you."

Val looked at Sang with disgust. "Really? You made us in such a way that we would have to listen to you?"

"Oh, don't look at me like that, your actions show it was the right choice, now shut up and listen to what I have to say."

The group lined up. "I need you to find a girl the wendigos have kidnapped, Diana Dreghy."

Chatter immeddiately followed. "Isn't that the girl from the system anouncement?" "Isn't that the hybrid?" and of course one of them reacted with "Who?". He was probably sleeping when the anouncement came.

"How do you even want us to find her, it's not like we know her smell, and her race is so unique that we can definitely not find her using that smell." Val made a good point.

Sang had a simple solution. "We have a way to track her, her smell has the distinct smell of a spirit so you can use this stone woman her to lock onto that, she's a spirit."

The wolves started sniffing me and went on their way, trying to find Diana.

While this was happening, a woman walked through the chaos as if nothing was going on, following behind her were a wendigo, a wight, and a seemingly normal woman. Each wore an elaborate ring on their finger that radiated immense magic.

They slowly approached the centre of Oshito, finding our small group waiting for the wolves to return with news.

Sang looked up, she sensed their presence because of a connectoon they shared, the connection of a vampire to it's creator.

"Annabelle, I'm going to need the gir,, your wendigos kidnapped."

The woman smiled at Sang, amused at thhe thought. "Now, it's been so long since you've seen your sires, something that most nightwalkers deem to be their children because of, obvious reasons of course, and yet you treat us like this. Now that's not nice is it?"

Before Sang could even react I had restrained them with rocks and held Ratio at her neck. I didn't know who she was but from what Sang had said, the wendigos seemed to be her soldiers.

"Shut up and return the girl or die."

"Oh, where did you find this ruffian?" She taunted, "Are you so desperate to find whatever it is you've been looking for since ancient times that you would get involved with this lot?"

"Annabelle, this isn't a joke, I command you to return the girl."

"Ah, the almighty command of a purebred daywalker. Sadly, these nifty rings don't just protect me from sunlight."

Out of anger and annoyance, I cut of her head without thinking of the consequences. The emotions that were forced onto me by the system combined with the small amount of motherly feelings I had started to develop were starting to make me irrational.

"Oh, she actually cut of my head. You're a bold one, aren't you? No matter, I came here to convey a message to you. Find a way to lift the curse from the nightwalkers or the girl dies."

Whilst she was talking, she moved out of the restraints with ease and picked up her head. After placing it back on her neck, the wound healed like it was nothing. She then turned around.

"Oh, before I forget. I don't like people cutting off my head child, you just doomed most of this cities inhabitants."

She then screamed at me, nearly crushing my true body and left. after a while, the entire ciity started to be flooded in death mana, ccausing a lot of people to die.

From my shadows, Bearry and Lupo seemed to be unable to handle it.

{Warning, you are currently in a low saturation Death mana zone, anyone with strength below Tier III will die within 10 minutes. We hope you enjoy your stay.}

I was really starting to hate this system more and more. Val seemed to not be too worried meaning that her wolves would most likely be fine but Lupo and Bearry needed help dearly.

I looked around at the people here in hopes that they could help but everybody looked at me likee it was impossible.

Allaster came out and tried controlling the death mana, keeping it as far away from them as possible.

"That will at most give them 30 minutes extra. if we're lucky maybe 35, but there's nothing to be done. They just aren't strong enough and Anna definitely won't let you leave the range."

Val sighed after hearing Sang's analysis. "If only they were human or humanoid, then I'd be able to turn them."

"They aren't so there's no reason to contemplate, you're only making it worse for her so shut up if you don't have anything usefull to say."

Everything was falling apart so quickly, my head hurt immensly and I could feel a that if I had needed to breathe, I'd probably be hyperventilating right now.

"Wait a minute, Val might not have said something entirely useless." Sang held out her hand. "Give me the turner Val, I know it's the one thing I can't command you to do, you can feel that, but if I want to save them, I'm gonna need that turner."

Val turned around, and smashed her hand through the door of the building, some kind of magic alarm started blaring but she stopped it with a wave of her hand.

She then handed a strange device to Sang, this was the thing that made a human or humanoid a Lycan, a turner, the first of it's kind at that.
