Getting a hangover without drinking

I opened my eyes, I saw that I was back in the soul world.

Weird, I mean, I'm not evolving am I?

The god of agony came to me.

"Are you evolving so soon little one? I didn't expect that."

"I'm not, at least I don't think I am, I just fainted."

He was taken aback, I had answered in reflex but I had answered nonetheless. He had thought that it was impossible for me to speak here so soon.

"Did you awaken to a unique skill?"

I nodded. "Yes, I don't even know why but I got a skill named Soul Affinity."

He looked with both a look of joy and a hint of fear at me.

"I hadn't expected you to awaken to this power so soon, probably because of you entering the land so often.

Oh, I see that whatever caused the system to deem it necessary to put your soul here has been stopped. Goodbye, I'll make sure that we can have a talk."

With that, a was fling back into my body. Normally I enter a semi unconscious state when I return to my body so feeling what happens was unpleasant.

I saw the forest from above, my soul moving at incredible speeds towards my body.

Getting thrown back into my body was not fun, it felt like I was being stuffed in a box thay was way too small for me.

When I opened the eyes of my body, I had a serious headache, like the one you get from a hangover.

Damn, I get a hangover but I don't get to be drunk, I swear, if anyone's responsible, I will have them pay ... by making them buy me a few drinks so I can get actually drunk.

What the fuck happened anyways?

'When you tried to find prey by opening your soul sense, Aurelion noticed and tried to attack you that way.'

Welp, Aurelion's going to buy me drinks, if he doesn't, he's dead.

'Wow, I didn't expect you to be so angry about a headache.'

Moving on I opened my soul sense again and I saw that the animals had dispersed, and there was a new one close by.

Moving towards my new prey, I wondered why I wasn't traumatized by killing that wolf.

I had been scarred at that moment but I was back to my usual amazing self really fast.

'It's one if my primary functions, I have to keep you mentally sane until you get used to this world, any trauma gained before full system integration will be removed.'

That's not disturbing at all.

I had arrived at my prey, a small bird that was trying to catch a few worms.

I got ready to pounce, the instincts of the bearcat were suddenly engraved into my body.

I attacked the bird, killing it quite fast, I quickly ate it, making sure not to leave anything behind.

The white raven are seen as a good omen, they will be the first to arrive at places of disaster that have become livable, causing people to catch them and use them to check if an area is viable for living again.

I turned into the raven and tried to fly using it's innate instincts but it didn't work, I was too heavy.

This is so sad. I don't get to drink but get a hangover, now I get all the instincts of a bird but am unable to fly. I guess I'll try to lift my spirits by eating these worms I caught.

I hadn't even realized it but I had done what the bird was doing, catching a few worms and eating them.

That was cool, I don't know why I didn't get any exp or explanation about what those worms were but I like the boost.

Fair enough, I'm happy I could at least get better skills. I tested the newly evolved skills and they seemed to combine the origal skill they were supposed to evolve into, Stone Affinity/Manipulation with the manipulation of metal, creating a superior skill. It also seems that the reason they evolved this way was because they reached the maximum level at the same time, causing the symbiotic relationship of the skills to awaken and making both stronger.

Now, both skills will always have the same level, they split exp evenly to make sure of that.

This meant one important thing for me, skills came in sets and having the set is ultimately better than having only one.

I hoped that I would get more sets like this but I wasn't getting my hopes up too much, it seems that I just got this one because every golem had them.

I decided not to hunt anymore animals today and instead opted to explore around to see if I could find any more unexpected things like this.

After looking around a while, I found a bush with raspberries, they were all glowing with a weird rainbow hue.

When I ate them I was extremely surprised.

It seemed like my head was going to explode, knowledge of the base elements flooded me.

I suddenly knew how to interact with them like it was second nature, a small flame surrounded me, it was strengthened by a small breeze will water was trying to put it out.

Nothing happened to the earth around me because I already had all the knowledge needed for it.
